How do I delete the on my mac mailbox?

Yesterday I tried to send a very large wav file (silly me) and it came back with a message saying it couldn't be sent, but then this message appearerd with the file in it in my on my mac inbox. When I open it, it tells me that there are duplicates.
I have run a virus check at Noron did not detect a problem, however I cannot now receive emals from one of my accounts.
Can I save all of my emails to somewhere on my computer, delete and reinstall my account?
Or the whole program, for that matter?
I would hate to think I have a virus that Norton can't find. I have a macbook Pro 10.7.3

This means you are syncing calendars direct with iCal via the iTunes sync process in addition to syncing calendars over the air with your MobileMe account. Doing both is not necessary which duplicates calendars and calendar events on your iPad - one set stored locally on your iPad and the other set stored in the cloud.
Under the Info tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes, deselect Sync Calendars followed by selecting Apply.
On your iPad, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select your MobileMe account.
Turn Calendars off for over the air syncing. A warning message will be provided indicating this will erase the calendars and calendar events from your iPad being stored in the cloud. If you are also provided a prompt to save these calendars locally on your iPad, decline that prompt.
Follow this by turning Calendars back on for over the air syncing with your MobileMe account on your iPad. You should be provided a merge prompt - to merge the "On My iPad" locally stored calendars with your MobileMe online calendars, which you want to select.
This will get rid of the "On My iPad" calendars and duplicates on your iPad.

Do you have the Yahoo toolbar? Other users have reported a similar JavaScript error when loading sites with that toolbar installed. If you have it, you could disable it or perhaps there is an updated version available.

The .DS_Store file is normal. It holds certain settings related to the folder it is found in. Removing these files is futile, as they will come back, as you have observed.
If you are seeing them on your Mac, that means you have changed settings so that your Mac is showing invisible files in the Finder. To reverse that, run the following command in the Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO
This will hide them, and any other invisible files, from view.
If you are seeing them on a Windows machine, just ignore them. They're not doing any harm.
If you found a Terminal command that is supposed to stop them from being created, I would be extremely skeptical as to the wisdom of running it.

How do you delete the contacts from "All on My Mac"? i have moved everything to iCloud and want to delete the contacts on my mac.

Signing out will not delete them from iCloud. Do it and read the message. It will give you the option to store address book contacts locally or just in iCloud. It will tell you that they will be available in iCloud when you sign back in.
In Addition, signing your mac out of iCloud does not sign your other devices out of iCloud. Any info in iCloud will still be available to other devices.
You can also access iCloud from the website https://www.icloud.com , which you can access from any computer at any time.

How do I delete the old user accounts from my Mac?

I have a few accounts in my name on my mac which are the accounts I had on previous hard drives before upgrading them. When I upgraded I used Time Machine and it always asked to set/create a new name and account.
My question is, how do I delete the old accounts?
Not sure if the accounts are taking up space but I am about to upgrade to a SSD and would like everything as tidy as possible.

You do not ever delete anything on the Time Machine drive using the Finder.
Those Alias files are essential to the internal operation of Time machine, and is what allows it to keep only one copy of a file that appears, unmodified, in multiple Backup Sets. If you modify them in any way, you risk Time Machine losing ALL your data.
I expect your backup drive is simply not large enough to do what you are trying to do.

Your best short term solution may be to start a new backup, which will be smaller that the multiple backups on your existing drive. In the long run a Drive 2.5 to 3 times the size of what you want to backup is recommended.

I am currently keeping my iPhoto library on my 256 SS Main Drive of my MacBook Pro.
How can I delete the masters of iPhoto without losing my photos in the main iPhoto display library and all their masters and edits.
I take loads of photos and import them and then will keep only 5% of the ones that I import. As a result I have a masters folder of over 50GB and actual photos that take up less that 5GD. Is it possible to delete the master folder without losing all the photos and without having to pain stakingly go through every folder and pick out from literally hundreds the ones that i kept and edited. How do I reduce the size of the masters just down to the ones that I have kept and not every single photo and video that I imported in the history of my iPhoto experience.
If I delete the master folder will all the photos and their edits be deleted.
If so, is there a way to just delete the masters that are no longer in the iPhoto library, while keeping the masters and edits of the ones that I clearly want to keep because they are the ones that I did keep.
Why do they keep the masters of photos that I clearly deleted and emptied the trash on.
I like to maximize space and this would help a lot to clear up for me. Thank you.

All the 5000 photos that reappeared after repair today were from my canada mega event, but for some reason it did not do it for all the other mega events. It is a start but not complete.
Try the rebuild to recover more lost photos.
If "rebuild" with iPhoto does not recover more lost photos, rebuild with iPhoto Library Manager as described by Old Toad in this thread, but rebuilding with iPhoto Library manager will not recover your projects like cards, bilks, slideshows.

Mostly the way I organize all my photos is that I make a folder for each country I visit. i.e. New Zealand Folder, Canada Folder, India Folder; and at the same time, any photos that I import I delete directly from new imports and just keep the ones i want and then i go up to events and move the latest imported event into a mega event for that country and so they all get joined in a sense.
As a workaround, merge the events right after importing, before you start deleting photos. And empty the trash always before merging projects.
You might consider to use albums instead of events for your country lists. I simply use the events as basic containers. One event for each day of shooting photos. I found, that smart albums and searches are quicker in iPhoto and Aperture, if the events are smaller, also browsing is easier, if the events are not so large.
You can merge albums and remove photos from albums without the problems mentioned above.

I've met the problem too before. but i solved it with Audio Converter Mac instead of iMovie. If you have similar situation that just want to keep audio but not video, and if your file format is not workable in iMovie, you can use the Audio Converter for help too. it can easily help to extract audio soundtrack from any video format. Or if you need to convert one audio format to another, it is a good choice too, because it supports many common audio output formats.

You can't delete an account, you can only stop using it. If you're getting that error message you won't be able to create a new account on your device. Your only options are to re-use one of the accounts previously created, or create a new account on a different iOS device or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher), if you have one.
