How do I delete the router log?
Is it possible to delete the router log? Is there a way to prevent logging? My Linksys gave me the option to turn logging on and off, is this possible with the Airport Extreme?

We think you might be referring to the Canon Solution Menu. If so, there is a check box that can be unchecked to prevent it form popping up. To check, start the Canon Solution Menu by clicking the Solution Menu icon. That can be located in the Solution Menu sub-listing in Canon Utilities in your computer's program listings. It should look like the attached image.
Uncheck the box next to "Start Solution Menu when Windows starts". If this isn't the pop-up you are referencing, please feel free to call us at 1-800-OK CANON (652-2666) for additional assistance.

How can I delete the History Log?
Is there a way I can delete the Edit History Log? I use Photoshop CS5 and have used the History Log (that shows in File Info) to keep a record of the edits I've made to my images. I want to send the images digitally (by email) but do Not want the recipient to be able to see the edits that have been made. For various reasons I do Not want to use 'save for web' (which I know would allow me to delete the metadata, including the History Log). Is there some other way to delete (or make inaccessible) the History Log (or all the metadata) before sending the file digitally?
thanks very much that does seem to work. Won't I lose some quality in the image that way though? (To copy/paste, I'm using a select tool to select the whole image, and then edit-copy the whole image, and then edit-paste the whole image to the new document -- is that what you had in mind?)

But you can probably find the history of OS command been run with history command :). You can get the date and time.

I have set the RMAN CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO APPLIED ON STANDBY; on my physical standby server.
My archivelog files are not deleted on standby.
I have set the CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO NONE; # default on the Primary server.
I've checked the archivelogs with the FRA and they are not beign deleted on the STANDBY. Do I have to do something for the configuation to take effect? Like run a RMAN backup?
I've done a lot ofresearch and i'm getting mixed answers. Please help. Thanks in advanced.
JSetting the Policy will not delete the Archive logs on the Standby. ( I found a thread where the Data Guard product manager says "The deletion policy on both sides will do what you want" ). However I still
like to clean them off with RMAN.
I would use RMAN to delete them so that it can use that Policy are you are protected in case of Gap, transport issue etc.
There are many ways to do this. You can simply run RMAN and have it clean out the Archive.
Example :

You can't delete an account, you can only stop using it. If you're getting that error message you won't be able to create a new account on your device. Your only options are to re-use one of the accounts previously created, or create a new account on a different iOS device or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher), if you have one.

How to check and delete the change logs for DSO

I have build a process chain that will delete the change logs for DSO prior to 7 days but when i executed it, the number of entries are still the same within DSO.
Then i tried deleting directly from "Environment" menu from DSO maintainance but does not work. Can anyone please explain how to resolve this issue or the proper process of deleting the change logs. Appreciated.

I have two apple id's because my hotmail account is no longer active. How can I delete the old one and use or update the new one? Every time I try it won't allow me and now my iPad thinks there are two accounts and they are arguing with each other. Help!
You can't merge accounts or copy content to a different account, so anything that you bought or downloaded via the old account is tied to that account - so any updates that those apps get you will only be able to download via that account. You can change which account is logged in on the iPad via Settings > Store

My husband deleted the Outlook email account that was associated with my Apple ID as the primary email. I have two alternate emails also associated with the same Apple ID. How can I delete the old, Outlook email and use one of the alternates as a primary? I have tried to do this under "manage my account," but there is no option to delte the primary and select one of the alternates in its place.
I also cannot receive confirmation emails from Apple at the old, primary email address because it has been terminated. Other Apple help posts indicated this could be a problem, as I need that old account to receive emails pertaining to a switch.If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again. -

While you can delete the existing iCloud account by forcing the phone into recovery mode & restoring it, or logging into iCloud.com & erasing the phone, you won't be able to activate the phone unless you you know the original Apple ID/Password that was originally used to activate the phone. The phone will be useless.

you ask what machine I am now using, I am a Windows man, currently using XP Pro SP3 and have been for 10 years. A friend from the Education Dept gave me a phased out Mac with OS X in an endeavor to convert me.
At first I was very impressed but as time went on I found that the Mac was not as user friendly as I had thought. The terminology was foreign to me, and where Windows placed thing automatically into place, with Mac I had to physically pick up and re-locate programs.
But what really turned me off was that nearly every thing that I wanted to do I had to go to the net and try and find drivers or whatever to overcome my problems.
A point in question, I purchased an external USB dual layer DVD burner. When connected to XP, it was recognized instantly and within a few minutes I as up and going. With the Mac, it is not even recognized let alone getting it to work!
And then there are all the other little things like printing. In windows every thing from every page I can print, Ctrl + P. With the Mac, I am still trying to find out how to print a page from the Help menu.
Enough said. My daughter is interested and that is all that counts. Let her work it all out, she is smarter (an younger) than me.

How can I delete the history of wireless connections? I got a new apple extreme, and I kept that same network name as I previously had with the LinkSys. Now the Mac won't automatically connect to the network. Genious Bar fixed my Pro, they said that you have to delete all the history, not just the network name. I wasn't at the Genious Bar to see how they did it, now I need to fix the Mac. Appreciate any help!

I have also closed iTunes, reset network settings on the iPad, then shut down and restarted the iPad. Still, I end up with greyed out rectangular icons for all the movies I've ever streamed from my Mac Mini to my ipad via my home wireless router.
Again, I have watched all the way to the end of the movie, selcted the movie in iTunes and chosen "mark as watched", and then deleted it in ITunes.
Any ideas?
