I want these things gone! I hate them and cannot get rid of them! And have several friends that want to know too! Please there has to be a way to get rid of this crap since we didn't ask for it to begin with!

IPhone downloads a whole load of songs from my iTunes, not just one playlist like I've set it up to (in theory) do.

When I sync my iPhone to iTunes it is supposed to only download one of my playlists so as not to use up all the space on my phone. However, it fills all the left-over space with songs (sidenote: I haven't ticked the box that says "automatically fill free space with songs") and I don't know (a) what I'm doing wrong or (b) how to fix it. I had a similar problem: I wanted to synch my playlist to my iphone. I like to have my playlist sorted by genre. But under each genre, albums are not sorted by the track numbers. This is a problem, especially when I am listening to club mixes when the DJ smoothly transitions from 1 track sequentially to the next one. Under the properties of each audio file, the Track Numbers and Disc Numbers are already there.
My perfect solution was to turn On Sorting - Sort Album under View>Show View Options. Then, select all the songs in that album (Shift click, Cmd click, etc) , and Edit multiple item information (Cmd I). You will see Info-Video-Sorting-Options buttons. Click on Sorting. Then, under Sort Album, Enter the name of the album. Then OK.
You should now have the playlist sorted by Genre, then each album individually sorted by track numbers. On your playlist you should see, if you scroll right, the column added called "Sort Album".

I have not and am not going to pay for Match. I want to get of of these songs for good. I do not care about removing them from my history which is impossible, I just want to delete songs so they are not in my library and do not sync to my phone since I never wanted them there.

If you are in the US or Canada you can download purchased music from the Purchased link in the iTunes store.
Otherwise if the disk drive is OK in your Old PC you can remove it and put it in a USB drive enclosure and then use it as an external disk on your new PC, then you copy the muisc from there.

What do you mean? They do show in the Purchased items in iTunes. Click on the three little dots ... to the right of the last icon showing in the top left to get the list of other iTunes categories (like books). Click on Books, and then on Purchased:

If you mean the shuffle icon at the top of the playlist next to its name then you can't e.g.
If you want to change the order of the tracks then click on the first column (the 'number') to sort by that (if the tracks are currently sorted by track name, artist etc then you won't be able to change their order ) e.g.
And you should then be able to drag the tracks into a different order.
If they don't then play in that order on your computer's iTunes then when playing make sure that the shuffle icon in the window/box at the top of the iTunes screen isn't blue (i.e. 'on') - if it is then click on it to turn it grey and 'off' :

Head to the Downloads and Drivers page at Dell for your particular model of Alienware. Look for available updates for your BigFoot networking device. If you update those drivers, does that give you back your Store access?

How do I organize the albums/songs in my iTunes?

I just decided to put a bunch of songs onto my iTunes so I could then sync those songs with my iPad 3 (and my new iPhone that's coming in the mail tomorrow ). Anyways, the way they organize my songs in iTunes is all messed up. If a song has more than one artist, it treats that song like a completely different album rather than including it all together under one album and under the main artist.
Is there a way I can edit the song/album details so I can organize my iTunes library in a way that will move the songs under the appropriate album, rather than treating them like a completely separate album? I already tried letting iTunes keep my media folder organized, and that just made it worse. I want to have control over the way the albums/artists/songs are organized.
So in short, how do I edit the album/artist/song details so I can make sure that the albums sync properly and it doesn't show 1 album as 5 separate albums? I'd also like to know how to make it so I get all the album artwork (other than relying on iTunes to do this) so I can have a nice neat looking music library on my iPad 3.

A couple of tips for keeping albums intact:
Make sure the ALBUM ARTIST is the same for all tracks? Artist can be different as long as the album artist is set the same
Make sure the album Name is identical for each track
Check the song sequence and that each track is marked track # of total number of tracks
Make sure none of the tracks have "part of compilation" checked, unless it actually IS a compilation, and then all should have it checked (HINT: a greatest hits album is NOT a compilation.
This should all be done iniTunes on your computer prior to synching.
On the iPad, in the music app, tap the "more" button at the bottom of the screen and turn "sort by artist" ON.

I have a song that's 6:50 in length, but iTunes reports it as 5:42. It plays the whole song OK, but freezes the progress bar at the 5:42 mark with "time remaining: 0:00" displayed on the screen for the final 1:08. Also, no matter how many times I listen to it, the song is never marked as "played."

My sister and I use different computers, she has her own iTunes all set up with a bunch of songs. I just got my own iPod, and iTunes for my computer, is there a way that I can receive her songs, and put them onto my iTunes and onto my iPod? Or do I have to pay for the same songs that she has all over again, because that is very inconvenient and expensive? Is there a way?

It can't be done. The most you can do is ask store reps to grant those songs to newly created account, but I see that highly unlikely to be approved. Reason: for store purposes your son does not exist - just two different accounts. If they will start doing that and giving to one customer something that was purchased by another, the DRM companies will sue Apple/Itunes for every penny that was sold by them.
