How do I determine where harddrive is being used?
I recently bought an iBook and have been installing music/pics on it. As far as I can tell, I've imported about 18 GB of material. But when I Get Info for the Macintosh HD, it shows 32 GB of the hard drive have been used. Even assuming that I've put some other limited files, this seems very high. Is there an easy function that will let me see where my memory is being used? I know that I can search folder by folder, but I've tried and must be missing where the additional 14 GB is being used. Thanks. Tim
Tiger install will take up 12gb if you don't go through and do a custom install and remove stuff that you don't need.
There is a program that you can download that tells you the size of each folder, get it here: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/13006

How to determine which configuration is being used within a page/view?.
If I click on the little cog icon to take me into the AET for a given assignment block, how do I know which configuration is being used?. Usually one is highlighted, but the case of the Accounts main address assignment block these details are not shown. As there probably 30 of them I though there must be a quick way to determine which is being used from within the view/page.
Anyone
JasHi Jason, (great performance at the Transporter, but go easy on the steroids )
There are 2 ways to know that:
1. put your focus (not in the configuration mode) on one of the fields that are on the block. then press F2. Here you get a popup where there is the configuration searched for and the configuration found.
2. Within the configuration, when there is no configuration with the configuration key linked to your business role present, the system takes the <DEFAULT> one. there should at least one be highlighted, otherwise you get a dump NO_CONFIG_FOUND.
When you just press the copy button on the configurations tab, you get your configuration defaulted, this being, the configuration key linked to your business role + the search for component, usage, and subcomponent. here you see what was searched for.
Hopefully this helps you out a bit.

Micha

How can I determine where to publish each comment in my website?
How can I determine where to publish each comment in my website?
I have one form for the comments, but I want to show them in different webpages depending on the user choice
for example, I created 6 pages blue circle, pink circle, green circle, blue square, pink square, and green square,so the user chooses pink or blue or green from one menu and circle or square from another menu which determine which page it will be displayed on.
you can see the form on the bottom of this website www.assori.com
thanks for any helpIt's my fault, I lost you there.
See I wrote the steps as they were in "Adobe Help" so please forget about the last comment.
I chose the "advanced mode" because I have more than one menu to filter (shape and color)
lets say I want the comments on my website to be displayed conditionaly, and I have two lists one for colors (blue and pink) and other for shapes (square and circle),
So I'm going to have four pages each page has its own recordset, let's say now I want to filter the recordset for (Blue Circle) page
I don't know how to do it but by following the steps in Dreamweaver help:
-Select name, and click the Select button.
-Select content, and click the Select button.
-Select shape, and click the Where button.
-Select section, and click the Where button.
-Select time, and click the Order By button.
this is how the SQL statement look likes:
SELECT mytable.name, mytable.contents
FROM mytable
WHERE mytable.shape='circle' AND mytable.`section`='blue'
ORDER BY mytable.hdw_serverTime
then to Define the variables 'circle' and 'blue' :
by clicking the Plus (+) button in the Variables area and entering the following values in the Name, Default Value, and Run-Time Value columns:
circle,square,Request("circle")
blue,blue,Request("blue")
Also I understand that I have to define a parameter but which (URL or Form) and how? I don't know -

How many times is my Translation Pattern being used?
I am running CUCM 8.5.1. I have about 50 or so translation patterns. Is there a report that can tell me how many times each translation pattern is being used daily or weekly?
Here is the entire setup and my problem.
Service Provider is sending 9725 and 3131.
Voice Gateway is doing a Num-Exp to 2604 and 2403 (respectively)
Then, the Call Manager is doing a translation on both numbers to Route Point 7824 which then triggers UCCX.
Two numbers for one purpose. I would like to remove 9725 / 2604 but I'm not sure how many times it is being used. Are the calls that are hitting my route point coming from 9725 or 3131? I can't tell since they both are being translated to the same Route Point.
Whats the best way of finding out? Thanks for your time guys!! -

How can I determine the cipher bit strength used by MY OS X? Using Lion now?
CT:
Not Filvault, but the regular cryptographic use as built into OS X. For example 1Password uses the algorithm in the OS X's Linux. How many bits (i.e. 50, 128, 256...) does it use and what algorithm (DES, AES...)

SharePoint Databases - How to determine which ones are being used and which ones aren't
I am not sure where to exactly post this question. On the SQL Server side or on a SharePoint side.
I am a SQL Server Database Administrator who is monitoring some SharePoint databases. On a daily basis it seems that they are creating new databases but don't delete the databases that they are no longer using. For example, they might be testing
on a development server and if things aren't working properly instead of asking that the databases be deleted they just go ahead and create new databases to do what ever they need to do. Is there a way on the SQL Server side to determine which SharePoint
databases are being used and which ones aren't being used? Or does one determine this information through the SharePoint Central Administration console?
lcerniHello,
The following query gives you the databases now in use.
SELECT
DISTINCT d.name
FROM
sys.dm_tran_locks
tl INNER
JOIN sys.databases
d
ON
tl.resource_database_id
= d.database_id
Hope this helps.

Report Background Engine - How do I determine where it is located
We have several servers running Oracle Forms and Reports.
The person who set up the applications I supported has
left and no one can tell me which Reports Background
engine/server my reports are running on. How can I
determine it and tell them.
Thank you.
BobHi Bob,
If you are running the background engine (rwrbe60.exe on windows or rwrbe60 on solaris using run_product) then it will be in the same Oracle Home as your Forms installation. However, if you are running with the Reports Server (rwmts60.exe or rwmts60) then there is a server parameter that should be part of your command line. If you are using the cgi and you don't see it, it's likely specified in the key which is defined in your cgicmd.dat file. The cgicmd.dat file is located on the machine where your rwcgi60 executable resides. That server name will match an entry in your tnsnames.ora file located on the same machine.
Hope that helps,

I noticed on my bank accounts purchases for I tunes for the past couple of months. Neither my daughter or myself have authorized these,
How can I find where these purchases are being applied? You can check the purchase history on your account via the Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) drop-down menu option on your computer's iTunes - though I'm not sure if that shows in-app purchases and/or auto-renewing subscriptions. If you don't recognise the charges then you can contact iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

When I go to Central Admin > Upgrade and Migration > Manage Databases Upgrade Status, I have 2 content databases which have the status:
Database is up to date, but some sites are not completely upgraded.
How can I determine which sites are not completely upgraded?Manage Databases Upgrade Status will provide you all active and offline DB details, you can get same result
using below PowerShell cmdlet.
Get-SPDatabase and Get-SPContentDatabase will provide all active database/Content DB in Farm which include Service application db, central admin DB.
Get-SPDatabase | Format-Table Name, ID
Coming back to your question, if you find that there are some site are not completely upgraded then run below command and understand the cause if issue on specific DB.
Test-SPContentDatabase WSS_ContentDB_Name
If you find any missing file issue in DB then resolve these issue to upgrade content database.
(verify all customizations referenced within the content database are also installed in the web application. This cmdlet can be issued
against a content database currently attached to the farm, or a content database that is not connected to the farm )
Use the Upgrade-SPContentDatabase cmdlet
to resume a failed database upgrade or begin a build-to-build database upgrade against a SharePoint content database
Upgrade-SPContentDatabase WSS_Content

How can I determine if PeopleSoft Queries are used in Crystal Reports
One PeopleSoft user requested that we delete 118 Queries. How can we determine if any of these Queries are being used in Crystal Reports?
>
One PeopleSoft user requested that we delete 118 Queries.
>
Why? How would the user know, or even care, if the queries exist?
It is not the concern of a user whether such queries exist or not. If your system has a security flaw that allows non-privileged users to executed those queries then you need to fix that flaw.
Remove the privileges that the user has on those queries and then, for that user, the queries will not exist.

You can't.

How to know which Smart-Form is being used for Purchase Order print output
Hi Gurus ,
How to find which Smart-Form and and methods/program being used for Purchase Order print output in SRM ?
In ECC we have tcode NACE where we can check all the details. Is there something similar in SRM ?
Please help.
Regards,
SauravThere is no similar transaction in SRM for your purpose. Usually if the customers customize the smartforms, they would choose to use their own form by implementing BADI BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF. Take a look into your system and see if this BADI is implemented. If so, debug it (by pressing "Print Preview" for a PO for example) and find out what form it is using. Or, if the BADI is not implemented, by default, the system uses form BBP_PO.

How to find out which queries are being used ?
We have a number of InfoSet Queries which the users are calling from SQ00. Some of them are very old.
I would like to find out which queries are being used, so we can have the idle queries decommissioned.
How can this be done ?
Best regards,
PeterHi,
It's been a while since I've done this but one method is to use ST03N & look for the execution of programs with an AQ* prefix. The general structure is AQZZ/<query user group><query name>.
You could probably get the same info from the audit log but I've not checked that.
