How do I disable autofill in Firefox Mobile (Android)?

I've found all sorts of people asking this for the desktop version, but what about for mobile? The autofill information gets in the way of the rest of the screen on phones, so is more harmful than useful, and I'd like to disable it, but I can't figure out how. Thanks.

To disable form fill in Firefox for Android:
# Type "about:config" in the Firefox location bar, and press Enter or Go
# Search for "formfill"
# Tap on the "browser.formfill.enable" preference, then press the toggle switch to change it from "true" to "false"

  • How can i disable scrolling on firefox mobile ?

I want to disable scrolling for my responsive website, when a colorbox (like a lightbox) is layered over the page (as div, not as iframe).
Scrolling should only be available for the colorbox-div, but not for body or html.
Therefore, I set "html" and/or "body" to "overflow:hidden" with the help of jquery. That works in chromium mobile and in the desktop versions of FF and chromium, but I can't figure out why I still have the scrollbar in Firefox on Android.
Is this a know 'problem'? What can I do?

  • How do I disable OCSP in Firefox Mobile?

At my university, they recently started using securelogin.arubanetworks.com as a portal, and it seems that all versions of Firefox don't like it. Disabling OCSP supposedly solves the problem, but there is not option to do so on Firefox Mobile that I can see.

I am aware, however, it seems there are no advanced setting in Firefox Mobile.

  • How do I watch .mp4 on firefox mobile?

I tried to open a site with an .mp4 video imbedded. The firefox browser told me that i needed a new version of flash player. So i clicked on the link and it told me that I can't download flash onto apple devices. I have an android phone. How do I watch .mp4 on firefox mobile?

But the native web browser allows me to open an MP4 file directly in the Video app, where it is played directly. Firefox 4 Mobile first downloads the whole file, before I can play the file in the Video app. This takes too long and it is to tedious since I have to manually remove the downloaded file later. Is it possible to configure FF4M so it would do the same as the native browser?

  • How do you quit or close Firefox for Android

How do you quit or close Firefox for Android ?

hi John009, you could close firefox like any other android app by going to the task switcher/recent apps list and swiping away the application...
    http://www.wikihow.com/Close-Apps-on-Android
alternatively when you have set firefox to clear your private data when you exit it within its settings, there will be a dedicated "quit" button shown within the firefox app menu.

  • How do i delete pages on firefox mobile?

I can delete pages on foxfire on my desktop but cant seem to do it on my mobile firefox. how do i delete pages on my mobile?

The All Pages tab lists history and bookmarks. To clear history, have you tried using Clear Private Data in Preferences?
On the start screen, there also are some history-related add-ons that might give you better control; I haven't tried any of them myself.

  • How can I disable prompts for Firefox updates on a Terminal Server (Citrix)?

Does any know how I can disable updates and update prompting in Citrix for Firefox 3.6?
I've got a 3rd party application that has lots of problems in Firefox 4, so I can't upgrade at this time. I just want to stop users from getting this prompt.

Thank you for the quick reply, but I've already tried that, it only affects the one user that un-checks the box. All other users still get prompted.
I'm trying to avoid having to have every single user go through this process.

  • How do i browse privately with firefox mobile

i would like to browse internet using firefox in private mode without history saving and etc. just like the desktop version.

There is not a setting for entering and leaving private browsing in Firefox mobile. You can manually clear all private data by pressing the 'Clear private data' button in the Preferences window.
You can always be in private browsing by typing about:config in the address bar an finding browser.privatebrowsing.autostart and setting it to true. This will prevent Firefox from remembering usernames, passwords, cookies, history, downloads, form data, etc.

  • How to delete saved password from Firefox mobile

I saved an incorrect email address

    Hello,
Firefox for Android doesn't have the option to edit saved passwords individually. You may try this addon that should do the job.

    Hope that helps.

  • How to install a certificate on firefox for android?

Hello, I have a few certificates that are required in my sign in from my bank. The only browsers supported are Firefox and IE. On android there is no option for installing or choosing a certificate during the sign in or before that. How can I fix that?

Thank you for the reply and the link given. Unfortunately, in terms of security i´m not sure that adding this will fix my problem, having in mind that is preliminary reviewed, i doubt that might create a new problems for me. Speaking of high security the things are a bit more complicated. I hope that in the future versions of Firefox for Android, such problems wont occur. Thank you once again for the support.

  • How can I backup/save my Firefox for Android bookmarks?

I would like to be able to save/export/backup my Firefox for Android bookmarks to a file on my Samsung Tab 2 tablet for safety.
How can this be done or CAN it even be done.

They cannot be backed up to a file. You can use Firefox Sync, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-up-firefox-sync

  • How to play MIDI files on Firefox for Android?

When I click on a link in a web page at points to a MIDI file (that has a .mid file extension), I receive a error stating that it cannot play the audio file. In the desktop version of Firefox, there typically is a way to associate external applications to execute "something reasonable" with the file. This presumably means that Firefox first downloads the file, and then executes the external command on the temporary downloaded file to view or play the file. Does it work similarly in Firefox for Android?

    Hi bgoodr,
It is a similar process, but different functions on the version of Firefox. For further investigation do you happen to have an example where this type of file can be downloaded and what app that youare using to open the .midi file?

On Firefox for Android, is it possible to rearrange or sort open tabs? On Chrome for Android, it is a simple drag and drop process. I've spent way too much time trying to figure this out and, so far, it does not seem possible to me (which I find hard to believe).
