How do I disable autoforwarding to another email account?

My Thunderbird email is going to two places. My Thunderbird account and another account. How do I disable the second one?

Mail to my Thunrderbird account also goes to another account. It's the latter forwarding I'd like to get rid of, and I don't know how.

How can I disable an old, defunct, email account?

I cannot disable an old email address/account on my iPad (original) account. In iTunes, my iMac, my Macbook Air, & my iPad 2 all have the same current email address/account but when I try to change to this current email on my original iPad so that it aligns w/ these others, it says this account is already in use. Brendan, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately neither of these helped. There are no checkboxes ticked for Safari (and I only use Firefox, generally) and I am able to sign in after signing off. But when I go to sign in here I get the [email protected] filled in as in the attached. And I have been using [email protected] as my defsult email and also my Apple ID user name since before there was an iCloud. So what now?

WHen you go into iMessage settings at the top it will say your email account you are using for iMessage, press that and it will give options. Press sign out and it will use your current phone number if you're using an iPhone, if you're using an iPod then it will turn iMessage off. P.S. it doesn't sign you out of your itunes account for iTunes and all that, just for iMessage

I have clicked on settings, than clicked on mail, contacts, calendar. But the Accounts section is all grey. I can't add another email account or even delete the existing one. I have changed email accounts, so this is really annoying. Can someone please help me here.

Forwarding email for a user to another email account

Hi,
in Leopard server there was the possibility to forward the email for user to another email account with a domain outside of my server (in Workgroup Manager)
This means: If the server receives email for user A with [email protected] he redirects the email to [email protected]
I can't find this in Lion server.
Does someone know how this can be done?

I am trying to add another e-mail account. I go to the wizard, and the message I continue to get is "An error occurred while accessing your account. Please click below to try again. There is a hyperlink that says "Access Another Email Account". When I click on it, nothing happens. HELP!

It's hard to tell, but if you receive the error message just after entering your credentials for the new account, then you have either entered something wrongly or the email service is not fully compatible with BIS. I'd suggest that you use a PC/browser to access your carriers BIS:

and then create this new BIS conduit from there. If it as well receives the same error, then try entering your correct email address but an incorrect password -- this should bring up the manual/advanced configuration screens on which you can enter all of the pertinent information manually (you will need to know all of the information -- email servers, etc....you will have to get that info from your email provider or from another email client you already have configured for this email account).

I was recently hacked so I had to change to another email account and now iCloud won't let me back up because it is still only allowing the old email acct to be the main one. How can I switch to a new email account for my iCloud?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

You have to be 13yrs. of age or older to have an iTunes account. So, if you want your daughter to have her own account, what you need to do is create another Apple ID for yourself. You can create one here:

Must be a verified email address...you can get a free Gmail account first. Then, when setting up the iTunes account, redeem an itunes gift card rather than using a credit card. That way, she'll have her own account, which you can monitor, but its not associated with any credit card.

Since you have two accounts, it would be best to just have Spotify close that account and have them transfer all your music to your new account. How does that sound? If you contact the accounts team through the online contact form and provide the account username with the e-mail address, date of birth, and zip code on the account then they should be able to do it for you! If you receive an automated e-mail directing you back to the community, just reply to it and you should receive a reply from a representative within 24-48 hours.

Use AIM for Mac and use the Export and Import features.
Other than that it is a question on making sure every Single Buddy has more than just their Screen name in the IChat Address Card so it is added to the Address Book and dragging them back from there

How do I backup or copy an email account or individual emails from a former employer on my iPhone 5s. I can open the emails, but don't have access to the server - just messages on iPhone. Thanks!

I imagine that forwarding the email does not function (since your account is closed), so I do not know what other options there would be.
I know this is inconvenient (and unprofessional if you need those emails forwarded) but I would probably just screen shot all the important information I need from these emails.
