I want to disable firefox antivirus, because its take too long time.

Firefox any version for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux from mozilla.org never came with a antivirus.

I want to disable scrolling for my responsive website, when a colorbox (like a lightbox) is layered over the page (as div, not as iframe).
Scrolling should only be available for the colorbox-div, but not for body or html.
Therefore, I set "html" and/or "body" to "overflow:hidden" with the help of jquery. That works in chromium mobile and in the desktop versions of FF and chromium, but I can't figure out why I still have the scrollbar in Firefox on Android.
Is this a know 'problem'? What can I do?

I want to know how to disable Autocorrect in Firefox

Seems you need the feature as much as I do, but it is not in Firefox.
By default Firefox does not check spelling on single line text boxes either.
What do you type that automatically gets corrected, because I've never seen it happen in Firefox. Are you perhaps using an external editor. Is this at a particular website.
I can't find an add-on for that at addons.mozilla.org either.

How can I disable Safemode in Firefox 24.2.0

We use FFox in a corporate environment due to issues with IE on certain intranet pages.
The existing version 17 had a number of files that we used to customise and lock down firefox, ie preventing users going in in safe mode etc.
These files no longer appear to be present in v24.2.0
I need to prevent users from pressing the shift key and entering ffox in safemode as they could disable/remove the plugins we use to assist locking down the application.
Can someone please advise on how I can achieve this in this version.

[Y50] How to *temporarily* disable built in keyboard

I just got a ducky mini (small mechanical usb keyboard) to use with my laptop, and ideally I'd like to be able to rest it on top of my laptop's keyboard. Obviously this won't work with the built-in keyboard being active. This issue is that I won't be using the usb keyboard all of the time, so I need to be able to turn the built-in keyboard back on easily.
So far I've tried
(1) Disabling in the device manager -> there's no option to disable it.
(2) Downloading Devcon -> I can find the keyboard ID using devcon but 90% of the time it fails to disable it. Sometimes on a fresh boot it will claim to have disabled it, but the keyboard will remain active. Removing it gives a message that it will be removed on the next boot, but as expected it's re-added when the computer restarts. Yes, I'm running the cmd prompt as administrator.
The other option that I think might work is to purposefully install an incorrect driver. Even if that worked, it's not a temporary enough solution, so I haven't tried it.
I'm starting to think this is impossible. I would love some other ideas.

As for how to find your product and numbers, on my HP TouchSmart 320-1030, for example, I found both numbers on a sticker on the back of my PC, near the bottom, just under the inputs (USB, power, etc.). I also found that information in roughly the same area on my friend's HP ENVY TouchSmart 23-d034. A really easy way to find out is to press the CTRL, ALT, and S keys. The HP Support Information box will open, showing your model number, product number, serial number, and other important information. I used Snipping Tool to take a screen capture of this information on my screen, and then I printed it and emailed it to myself. It's good information to have on hand if you're getting support, making warranty inquiries, or for your insurance files, if your PC were, say, damaged in a fire, tornado, etc. Once you obtain that information, go to the Drivers and Download page. Click the Support and Drivers button, and enter your product number. Check for new drivers for your product. You can also get support and warranty information at the above link.

I have a Solaris 10 box in a secure environment (no Internet) with Firefox 30 installed. I need to lock javascript in a disabled state for all users. I realize each individual user can toggle javascript with about:config, but that is only a per/user activity. I want to set the value of javascript.enabled to false for all users. i dont know why it worked, but had two tabs open and i dragged one of the tabs down to the desktop. it gave me two instances of firefox. Since then i dont have tabs in firefox 4. might be just a bug, but i hope they dont fix it until they give us a way to turn tabs off officially.

You can set the plugin.expose_full_path pref to true on the about:config page to see the full path of plugins on the about:plugins page.

Easy way to enable/disable built-in iSight?

Hello everyone!
I am trying to figure out how to enable/disable built-in iSight camera on my MacBook Pro. I do quite a bit of video conferences lately so I went out and bought a decent camera that produces a nice picture and has zoom in/out controls etc. It all nice and well but now I have a little problem - most web-based conferencing software simply uses the "default" camera, which is in my case the built-in iSight. I want to disable the iSight and make my external camera "default" one instead but I just can't figure out how to do it... Any ideas?

If necessary, you can quit your browser, launch Photo Booth or some other video app to keep your iSight busy. Minimize this app if you like, launch the browser and go to your video web site, and then check that Flash can use the camera you want.
