How do I disable hyperlinks in Pages 5.0?

I'm creating a document and i have a number of email addresses to work with, cutting and pasting, so I don't want the hyperlinks to be active. It was a simple matter to turn them off in the old Inspector. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it in the current version. Please advise.

Thank you for the question. You can disable hyperlinks by verifying that Edit>Substitutions>Smart Links is unchecked before you enter the links or email address in the document:
Turn off automatic formatting for links
If you don’t want Pages to automatically format links as clickable text, you can turn off automatic formatting.
Choose Edit > Substitutions > Show Substitutions (the Edit menu is at the top of your computer screen).
Select the Smart Links checkbox.
Click a button to replace all occurrences of formatted links in the document, or just in the selected text.
When Smart Links is turned on for the document, a checkmark appears next to Smart Links in the Substitutions menu. You can deselect it to turn it off, but existing links won’t change unless you select the text that contains them, then follow the steps above.

How can I disable hyperlinks in a pdf

Sorry if i'm not posting this question in the most
appropriate category.
I'm trialing Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional and I'm looking for
a way to disable the hyperlinks within a pdf.
Basically in my workplace we provide an information directory
using a touch screen monitor for members of the public to use to
research health conditions. I want the members of the public to be
able to access certain pdf files but not to be able to escape from
that pdf file. Currently if they click on a hyperlink (whether it
be an email address or even a linked picture) then they are able to
escape from what they are supposed to be reading.
From the 'preferences' - 'general' menu I have unchecked
'create links from URLs' which now brings up a security message
asking whether to allow or block the URL but this isn't the
solution I was looking for.
I have read about putting a space part way through the URL to
fool Adobe so that it doesn't recognise the link as a URL but that
solution just isnt feasible in this case as there are potetially
hundreds of hyperlinks i would have to find and then edit (also
this wouldn't work if there are any pictures which are
hyperlinked).
I'd be extremely grateful for any help with this problem.
Perhaps this isn't a feature available in Adobe 9 Professional and
someone might know which version I should be using.

How do you disable tooltips in Pages?

Hello I have the following problem. Any time the mouse goes over a Pages document in the background, if the document has track changes enabled, the yellow semi-transparent messages that I guess are called tooltips and report the content of a change appear in the forefront even if I am using another program (e.g., Safari), and are extremely annoying. The only way to get rid of them is to give back focus to Pages and go back to the program I want to use. Question: is there any way to get rid of them? I am familiar with the way to solve the same problem in Safari, by changing a pllist entry, but I found no tooltips entry in the Pages plist file. Does anybody have any clue? I am enclosing a picture showing the problem, taken while I am writing this message in Safari. The small yellow window comes from Pages and should not be there blocking me to see what I want to see in Safari.

How can I disable ligatures in Pages for iPad?

This has been driving my crazy all day!
In the Courier New font, pages combines the lower case letters "fl" into a single character. This is causing huge problems as I pass my manuscript between my pc and iPad, printing from whichever device is most handy at the moment.
This ligature is ugly and is causing anything printed from the iPad to print up a few lines shorter than the sme text printed from my PC because of the space "saved" by combining f and l into a single glyph.
I've been trying to use the iPad's Courier font, which doesn't have the ligature, but it's a much bolder font and up more black ink.

That is very odd behavior, as ligatures are really undesirable in that kind of font. I don't think there is any way to stop it. Let Apple know:

Thanks for answering. In my case that won't work because I'm doing a global find and replace of some text.
I agree though, that process would eliminate the message when I have to come back to edit the site again. It's just the thought of many dozens of pages that would need it and to be honest, I'm really not feeling that motivated to do all the up front work right now

Every time I click the "back" button, Firefox reloads the previous page I was on. How do I disable the reload and have Firefox display the cached/prior page version? How do I disable automatic reload of web pages when forced quit is uaed?

I ran across a web site that was part of a scam. It pretended to be one of the security programs on my computer and reported that my Computer had malware (it was the malware). The only way out and not activate the scam program was to use the Windows Task Manager to kill Firefox.
When you do this the next time Firefox is started it tries to reload the last pages visited including the bad web site. How do I disable this feature? Or force Firefox to ask me which pages to load every time.
Automatic should not be allowed because of these scams. Fortunately I had a work around, I pulled the network cable when I restarted Firefox causing a different failure that could be cleared.

Set the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes] to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.
That will allow you to deselect the tab(s) that you do not want to reopen, but will allow to reopen the other tabs.

What is the pop-up page and how do you disable it?

When I read through documents in Acrobat XI, a small, miniature version of the page pops up on the upper right hand corner. It is surrounded by a dark gray border with a white box inside that shows me where I am on the page, and the message "page X of Y" appearing at the bottom. What is this? I searched the manual (the Help and Tutorials document) in vain to find out what this is, I've Googled it, Bing'ed it. No dice. Hovering my cursor over the image does not reveal anything either. What in the heck is this thing called, and how do I disable it? It is very distracting and not very useful.

I am aware that you can turn it off by clicking on the "x" (which is barely visible). However, this is only temporary. When I scroll down to the next page, the box pops up again. So I have to click if off on every page. What I am looking for is a way to completely disable this function so I don't have to deal with it to begin with. Thoughts?
