You should be able to select Force Quit from the menu beneath the Apple icon in Finder
and choose to Quit iPhoto from there, without messing up the Mac OS X in the process.

Not sure if rebuilding the iPhoto library would help this issue. However if you had to
turn off the computer without the correct method (unplug, etc; instead of menu choice)
the system may have accrued damages and should be checked, maybe repaired by
use of the Disk Utility in the system. Or restart the computer in Safe Boot mode, then
run 'repair disk permissions' while it is running in that reduced mode; then restart after.

Safari yellow hover-over pop ups

I have no idea how this began or when but it's been a few weeks now.
you know this hover-over bar that appears with more information when you hover over something for a few seconds, well now it has started appearing constantly, all the time, without delay that is, it's really annoying, it obscures allot of the things i'm actually wanting to move my cursor over. like pictures or even the menu buttons.
So far i haven't noticed it in any other applications, just Safari and google chrome.
any ideas?

The popup is called a tooltip or help tag. See

Yes, I know that such question has already been asked, maybe even more than once, but I think the issue that Skype on windows phone DOES NOT SHOW ANY INDICATION FOR THE MISSED CALLS deserves new thread to be started every day! Hover over / pop ups

I'm sure many moons ago with DW4 this was a standard feature, but can I get it to work now? No I can't. Maybe I have just forgot the basics.
I would like to create a calendar and on that calendar there will be a few small images when events occur, birthdays, anniversary's etc.
Now what I wanted to happen was 'on mouse over' a pop up flag would appear with information relent to the days event(s), but I can't seem to get it to work.
I can do a pop up message but that requires manually closing, I'd like something which pops up on mouse over and automatically disappears on 'mouse out'.
I think that I may have forgotten the fundamental basics, I'm sure that I have done this before.

Why don't you use a real Calendar app for this?

We want to make sure your photos are backed up successfully! Have you tried to stop the process and start it again? You can stop the process by stopping the Cloud and backup process completely in Settings>Applications>All>Verizon Cloud>Force stop. One it has stopped make sure you care connected to WiFi and try the backup again.

It sounds a lot like your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it prior to your trying to update it.
If that is the case, it is nowpermanently bricked.

The iPhone 3G is Not Compatible with iOS 6...
It also appears that your phone may have been Hacked and / or Jailbroken...

I am a novice at Mac so I read all I can. From what I understand the NEC monitors I bought require Display Port for their maximum performance. The GTX 680 only has DVI outputs. Difference from what I understand is larger bandwidth with the DP.
You said I have the 4000 for CUDA. I am not all that familiar with CUDA and when I do read about it I do not understand it.
A concern I have is, that if I connect the 2 high end NEC monitors via the 5770, using it's 2 Display Ports I would have nothing connected to the 4000. Is the 4000 doing anything with nothing connected? I read where in a PC system the 2 cards would interact but in a Mac system they do not.
Bottom line, as I see it, the 4000 will not be useful at all to me, since I want a dual monitor set-up.
So far the 5870 seems the best choice, higher band width than the 5770, and it has 2 Display Ports to optimize the NEC monitors.
I'm not sure how fine I am splitting hairs, nor do I know how important those hairs are. I am just trying to set up a really fast reliable system that will mainly be used for CS6 and LR4. Those NEC monitors are supposed to be top notch.

There are several other similar posts in this forum with the answers. Your post appears third in my Google search today looking for a solution so I thought I'd add the solution here as well.
It is obviously a bug in either (or both) Firefox and the NYT.
The quickest solution is to simply go to the VIEW Menu in Firefox, then the ZOOM option and choose RESET.
I use Mac and this happens in Firefox 3.6.10. It does not happen in other browsers like Safari, Chrome and Camino, and it did not occur before last week.
It has also occurred in the iOS version of Safari on iPad. Not sure how to fix it there.

Or just sync to google from your HTC and export to a vcf file. After that login to icloud.com and there you can import the vcf. And now you just have to setup the icloud on your iPhone.

If you established a rescue email address, there will be a link on the "Passwords & Security" page of id.apple.com. Clicking the link will send the reset to your rescue email address (NOTE: This is not the same address as your Apple ID email)
If there is no link on the page, then you didn't establish a rescue email address. Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466, and ask for account security. You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.

it depends on your requirement.i personally believe in BADI as it include less coding with promising results
there is no such answer which is better it depends on your way of coding or in which you feel comfortable.
For difference beteen BADi/Exit you may search in SCN i'm sure you will get many many examples.i found one for you.
