How do I disable (uninstall) Adblock Plus?

I am trying to watch a missed TV episode. I get a "message" indicating that I have to disable Adblock Plus. Directions given: In right hand corner of Firefox, click on the ABP icon, and uncheck "Enable Adblock Plus". However, there is NO such icon on Firefox' toolbar. I went to your help site; FAQ; checked out forums, etc. You would think "disable Adblock Plus" would be pretty simple, but I guess it's not.

The real and genuine [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ Adblock Plus] doesn't install itself or without explicit user consent.
You can disable this Adblock Plus by going to Tools ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Add-ons''', click '''Extensions''' on the left, look for the entry and '''Disable''' or '''Remove'''. Instead, if it's already visible on the toolbar or status bar (Addon bar), click on the icon and '''Disable everywhere'''.
To selectively disable ABP on individual webpages or whole sites:
While there click '''Options''', again '''Options''' and check (tick) '''Show in toolbar''' or '''Show in statusbar'''. Once it appears on the toolbar or statusbar you can easily click on the icon to disable ABP on individual pages like this (https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/781327) by clicking '''Disable on this page only''' or click '''Disable on support.mozilla.com''' to disable ABP on the whole site / subdomain.
If ABP icon isn't appearing on the toolbar you may have to [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/how-do-i-customize-toolbars?s=customize&r=0&as=s Customize] the toolbar via '''View''' ('''Alt''' + '''V''') > '''Toolbars''' > '''Customize''' and bring in the ABP icon (after enabling) to the toolbar.
