Hey I need to know how to do a hard reset on my phone. without losing all mt iTunes stuff. also another question is why do I keep all these stupid error messages, saying this device is already associated with another apple id and cant be used with another apple id for 80 days, and last question I have a lot!!!!!!!! of stuff on this apple id, but its all on the downstairs pc, and ive tried re installing it bc it says this iPhone can not be synced, bc this is not the latest verison of iTunes, and I want all of that on my new laptop, but everytime I go to do all that stuff, the SPOS!!! pc downstairs is so ******** it srsly it is! bc every single time I try to use it or even wrk on it! it JST FREEZES on me, every time and it JST REALLY IRRITATES ME, AND I AINT GOTS THE PAIENTS? FOR IT! PLZ HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a while i got a new Ipod (the same type) and was able to get new songs to put on it and what not. Well i was playing around with the one i washed opne day and found that i could still restore it on iTunes. However, it wont let me restore it without losing all of my music and what not that i got for the new one. I would like to continue to use the old one, but I am afraid of losing all of my current stuff. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can restore the old and keep the new? I am in desperate need.

The battery has completely discharged and will take overnight to recharge, so don't expect much in an hour.
The battery has deep discharged and is now dead. It will never recharge and should be replaced.

How can I do a hard reset without losing app data?

I have international texting on my phone and it's having an issue sending images to my friends overseas. The words go through but no media.
I have Verizon's More Everything plan and after two days trying to get this sorted on their end, they want me to try a hard reset and test the texting before I restore my backup to see if it's something in the phone.
the last time I had to do this I lost EVERYTHING regarding data in my apps. Some of the apps I have now I cannot afford to lose the info stored in them.
I need to make sure that I can restore safely once we are done with the troubleshooting.
If I have to manually put my items back in, HOW can I do that with the apps I really need the data preserved?
FYI - ALL my settings for iMessage are correct.
My international friends are not using iPhone AND I checked my settings there and they too are correct.
So, before I go and wipe everything out, can someone reassure me with some directions and ease my worries?

I fully understand what you are saying but I am TRYING to explain that it failed the last time I had to do this. I cannot make myself any more clear.

Unless your machine shipped with Mavericks or, if not, you saved a copy of the Mavericks install app, you're screwed. Without a bootable backup/clone or TM backup of your previously good Mavericks installation, there's no way to get from here to there; unless you know someone that kept the Mavericks installer.

When you open iTunes and plug in iPhone (iPod) to computer, it appear in the left bar. Then just simply right click on you iPhone (iPod) and choose Transfer Purchases, this should copy your purchased items to your computer.

First, for changing my question to the right forum. I am new on this and wasn't aware I was in the wrong forum.
Secondly, even though my initial question is not answered as in: I just want to remove Classic, what you say is right. I think now, after writing my long question and seeing your answers, that I should start from scratch.
To answer your question, I bought the new drive to be able to store and back up into DVDs and CDs all the photographs and movies that are still in the computer. I also need to make CDs of my portfolio since I am trying to find a new job and buying a new Mac at this point is out of the question. To upgrade the computer: I just do not have use for OS 9 anymore; I cannot upgrade to the latest Java, Safari or have issues with Flash or other programs; the programs that I have and need will still run perfectly fine or better in Leopard. And even if I could buy another computer I would still like to hang onto this computer for a while.

I just got a message that I need to back up and reformat my external hard drive. I know very little about this process and would like to know how to do so and if this is possible without losing anything on it.

If you reformat a drive, you will lose whatever information/files are on it. So, the only way to save your info is to copy it to another drive temporarily, reformat your drive (use Disk Utility and format using Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and the GUID Partition scheme under Options) and then you can copy your information back.

You can't delete an iTunes account, but you should be able to change the email address that is on it e.g. by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone and logging into it, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, or via http://appleid.apple.com - you should then be able to put it on your old account.
For your security questions on your old account, if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on that account then the steps half-way down this page will give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address or don't have access to that email account (you won't be able to add one or change it until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.
