How do I download a campaign font for use in iBooks Authoring rather than the standard fonts available?

Is it possible to use a campaign font when authoring an iBook rather than the standard font menu?

The font menu in the toolbar includes supported iOS fonts on the iPad. You are obligated to work with those fonts only.
While apps have a way to add additional fonts, iBooks Author does not provide support otherwise, sorry.
As an alternative, you can use any font you like and generate an image instead.

The basic answer is that Apple has not programmed the capture routine with this capability. As such, you can always send QT feedback requesting this feature be added as a future enhancement.

How to create Protein or Chemical structures in .pdb or .mol format for use with iBooks Author. Please help.

There are a large variety of software packages used by Chemists and Biologists to view and manipulate Protein and Chemical structures in 3D. They typically have formats such as .pdb, or .mol. I have looked around and none of the software packages that I currently use allow me to export to the COLLADA (.dae) format.
Does anyone have any idea where to begin to allow me to do this. I would like to try and put in some of the 3D objects into the iBook Author program.

I believe that Apple should have provided an easily way to get Pymol images into iBooks Author as VRML has been the de facto standard. After a number of days, I have a method which works, but this much effort should not be necessary. Anyway here it is.
1) Set the viewport in Pymol to 512,384 to do this in the command window type
viewport 512,384
Note, I'm not totally sure you need to do this.
2) Draw you image in Pymol and output the image in VRML format, to do that
File -> Save Image As -> VRML 2 ...
I'll assume that you have given the file the name "pymol_output", you actual get pymol_output.wrl
3) In a terminal window go to the folder where the above file is located and issue the following command. This removes some stuff that messes up the lightening
sed '9,15d' pymol_output.wrl > bender_in.wrl
4) Next you need blender. You can download it from
http://www.blender.org/download/get-blender/
5) Open Blender. In the upper right corner in the Scene section
right click on Lamp and delete it
right click on Cube and delete it
right click on Camera and delete it
Save this file so you don't have to do this every time. I called mine empty_blender_file.blend
6) Either open empty_blender_file.blend or continue from #5 and read in the file from #3
File -> import->X3D Extensible 3D (.x3d/.wrl)
this reads in the file
7) Write out the file in collada .dae format
File->export->collada (.dae)
Done. This file will read into iBooks Author and have somewhat uniform lighting. By the way, .dae files can be opened an checked in Preview. Its easier than going back and forth into the iPad, since you can rotate the image in Preview.
Hope this helps, let me know if it works for you and if you have any suggestions.
Finally someone needs to write a one step VRML and X3D to collada converter that will work with PyMol and Chimera etc.

You can't. Iphoto will only import movies taken by the phone directly. Move the video to the Mac and then import it.

Same as any other material: File -> Import to Library or drag them to the iPhoto Window or iPhoto icon on the dock.
However, not all video formats are supported.

The way to change what ever people see when they get your email is to set up your email the way you want to. '''Modzilla''' defaults to the name that you use for your computer.

When I look at devices that are running on my AirPort Extreme and airport express (running as a range extender) I only see their ID numbers. How do I get it so that I can see the device name? Things are hit and miss as far as client names being displayed in AirPort Utility. You might see a device name displayed at times and not at other times.
Unfortunately, Apple provides no settings or controls in AirPort Utility for this. Things will not look like the nice Apple advertisements if that is what you might be hoping for.
You might want to let Apple know that you would like more control for this "feature". If so, please use the link provided below.

With AIR 2.7, there is no way to switch between device speaker and phone earpiece on Android and iOS. All sounds, by default, play through device speaker only.
The link mentioned by Colin just presents a way to enable phone receiver on iOS. However thats a bug and will be rectified in future releases. So I will not encourage you to use that.

There is nothing to prevent him from downloading and installing the trial version (Adobe - Download free trial version Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 | Adobe). At the point all you need to do is provide him with the serial number so that he can activate it. If the intent is that he be the owner of the software then you might want to see about transfering the license...
