How do I download a gifted movie if there is no authentication code

I received an email from friend saying I had received a Movie (gifted )from iTunes. However there was no authentication/redemption code on the email. How do I watch/download/redeem the Movie with no authentication/redemption code? If it matters, both my friend and I are using Windows 7 SP1.)

I found this article that outlines where to go to download your purchases again in iTunes.
The article named says it is for iTunes 10, but the steps will work for iTunes 11 as well.
In iTunes, click iTunes Store (below Store).
Click the Purchased link in the top-right of the Store home page (below Quick Links).
In the page that appears, select a category.
iTunes shows you which of your purchases are available for download. You can view all of your past purchases, or just the ones not currently in your iTunes library. Items already in your library aren’t available for download.
If you select Music, you can view your purchases by song, artist, or album. If you’re using Album view, click an album to see which songs on it are available for downloading.
To search for an item, type its name or a keyword in the search field, and then press the Return key to view your search results.
To download an item, click the Download button to the right of the item.

Once you get to the page for your Movies or TV Shows, there should be a checkbox that says Download HD When Available. Uncheck that, and then download your purchase and that should get you the SD version of your video.

Go to iTunes and make sure you are signed in to your apple Id and then go to the iTunes store and click buy on a movie or tv show you want to buy. Then in the downloads section it will download and you have to wait for it to download then go to the videos app and you can watch the movie.

I need help deleting videos, tv shows, and movies downloaded from itunes. I have followed the instructions to delete from the macbook, I selected the videos I wanted to delete and right clicked to delete. Nothing happens. When I double click on the video it still starts playing. I also followed the instructions to delete the videos from the iphone by swiping from left to right with nothing happening. I opened the videos on the ipad and there is no edit selection like in the instructions on the support page. Can you please tell me how to permanently remove this content so it doesn't try to copy from each device when I want to back up the Iphone and Ipad to my macbook. Thank you.

There is no one to call.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your files/docs/pics/music/movies/etc. for just such an occasion.
If you have failed to backup, then please start backing up asap. it will avery many problems down the road.

With the new itunes, I cannot movie my rented movies as I did before. It just shows a photo of each movie and a choice of details or to play movie. How do I download my rented movies now to my IPAD???

As far as I know it should work like it always has. Can you see the sidebar in iTunes? If not, go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu, then click on your iPad on the left sidebar, then click on the Movies tab in the window on the right.

Sign in with the Apple ID that you used for the original purchase.
iTunes Store
Open iTunes and go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased in the Quick Links section.
Select the content type that you want to download (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books).
Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.
Find the item that you want to download. You can browse using the menu to the left. If you have more than 2,000 songs, you will see Recent Purchases instead of All Songs or Albums.
Click the Download icon next to the item you want to download.
If an item is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.
