I have a movie my husband got for me from his work, how do I get it from my zip drive to my I tunes movie section, and how do I get my home video in the home vidieo section?

Old SCSI - to old Mac as a G3-PowerMac
Then files copied over to a FireWire or USB hard disk
(If file is less than 4Gb DOS/FAT32/Mac Exchange formatted - will still work)
If file is > 4Gb then open it on a PC and Export it in - less than 4Gb blocks and as streamingDV or AIC.
These files can then be assembled in iMovie (up to HD6) or FinalCut (any version) and will keep 100% Quality.

    before downloading the movie, go iTunes > preferences > advanced and point iTunes media folder location to the external.
    iTunes will put new additions to your library where ever iTunes media folder location is pointed.

    If it is from the iTunes store you can watch it from iCloud on ATV.  If it is not from the iTunes store the next best option is to add it to your local copy of iTunes and have ATV play it from there.  You can always do it from AirPlay but that is a very error prone and degrages the quality.

    You would need to go to the computer containing the book.
    Select the saved book in the Collection panel.
    Go to Grid View [ G ] and select all the images [Cmd/Ctrl][A]
    File>Export as Catalog and store on media you can use to transfer
    Bring this catalog onto your computer
    File>Import from another catalog and bring the transitory catalog into your master catalog.
    It should bring the images, your collections (including your book) and other settings into your own catalog.

    add the file to itunes on the computer and set it to sync
    if it's not in a compatible format you have to convert it first
    the program handbrake should do that for you
    if your library use some sort of DRM you may have to use a spcial app created by them to play the movie
    if they do use DRM and dont have an app you will not be able to play it
