ok so i need to take my music from my mom's computer and put it on mine, and i've tried putting it on a floppy or a cd, but every time i do it'll act like it's doin something and then it says it can't complete becuase some of the songs couldn't be found. so my question is how do i transfer my music from one computer to another? it lets me view all my music while plugged in to the new computer it just won't let me take anything off the ipod and add it to any of the folders or playlists.

I use my music on a home sterio and import locally from CD's to Windows using the Apple Lossless format only, to achieve the Highest quality sound. However, When I buy from Itunes store I can only get AAC format, which is low quality. How can I get Itunes to give me only Apple Lossless format?

I do agree with what i have been said. I am a musician, i think AAC is definitely medium-low quality. I bought this year lots of AAC 256 for Itunes. I have been surprised. SO many times i need to go to the equalizer to counter-balance the weakness of this file format.
I advise you to do the following. Import a CD using Apple LossLess and then import a CD using AAC 256. You will see a HUGE difference.
Now i start to buy CD again in order to get the music Quality. Then i import my CDs to Itunes using Apple LossLess (920Kbps). You will ear that on Snares and Rides. Bass will sound more natural. Bass, Medium, Sharp will more balance with each other. You will hear instruments with more clarity especially when there are a lot of instruments. Because of that, you will not need to raise up the volume.
But more than anything... you will gain VOLUME in your files.
In general over the internet all the online music stores including Itune doesn't provide HD quality. AAC 256 is not enough. A track bought over Itune Store should weight 30 megabytes, not 5. And then you would decide to compress it or not.

I lost my ipod about a year ago. I just recently found it and have learned that the songs that I downloaded from my computer to the old ipod are no longer in itunes. I cannot download the songs off my old ipod to my computer to load on new ipod.

I saw a video and I followed it, i used itunes, clicked the device then photos then i picked a folder and click sync but when i click Apply a bx pops up that says if I snyced these photos the photos already existing will be removed, is there a way to keep the photos on the ipod and just add the pictures from the compute?

Place both the old photos and the new photos in the same folder you sync photos with. Youcan have one level of subfolders in the one syncing folder.

When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.

If you set up Home Sharing and are on the same network you can share your library. However you must be using the same itunes account. Another option (if you are trying to download to a device) would be to sync over Wi-Fi. I hhope this helps a bit. Assuming that you synced the photos from iTunes - or whatever downloaded means - you must use iTunes again in order to remove the songs from the iPad. You have to uncheck the albums in the photos folder that you sync from in the Photos tab of iTunes and follow that with a sync.

To reinstall iCal:
1. Insert the Snow Leopard Installation disk into the computer.
2. The disk will appear on the desktop.
3. Double click on the "Optional Installs" folder.
4. Double click on the "Optional Installs.mpkg."
5. Click on (Continue) in Introduction.
6. Click on (Continue) in Software License Agreement.
7. Click on (Agree) to agree to the terms of the software license agreement.
8. Click on the disclosure arrow ▶ next to Applications.
9. Select (✓) iCal.
10. Click (Continue).
11. After iCal has been reinstalled, download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to bring iCal up to the most recent version.
