How do I download iOS4.3.5 if I don't have an iTunes store app? I've only got the downloads application
My iPod Touch didn't come with a Itunes store app, just a downloads app that doesn't connect to the itunes store. So, when the site says to connect and follow the instructions, I can't because I've got no store application. How do I get the store application, or how do I download iOS if there's no dowload link at the online iTunes store?
What model iPod do you have? If it is a 1G iPod then you can only update to iOS 3.1.3 via this link:

If you iPod has less that iOS 2.0 then there is no App Store app. One can also hide the App Store app via Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions.

It originally did not download correctly. I refreshed the download and it supposedly completed. Upon playing the song in both my library and on the Itunes store it will not play past the first 5 seconds. How can I fix this?

GPS on the N97 seems problematic for many. It can be very slow and not very accurate.
I have been working with an app developer to try and track down a bug I reported with their program regarding GPS which we found and they have now corrected. However, in the process, they discovered a bug in Nokia's GPS system itself and reported it. I know Maps 3.1 have just been re-released so maybe they have fixed it.
I have a permanent data connection active so don't get asked about the connection when I load Maps. My partner uses a 5800 and don't go online with it using the mobile network and the mapping doesn't work properly. If they connect to a network, all seems fine.

How do you download applications off the internet?
Whenever I try to download an application off the intenet it comes up with a pop-up giving me two options, to either save the file or sleect which applciation to open with, when I save the file it saves to my desktop, and when I double click it it opens up with text edit, and is just pages and pages of weird letters and symbols, and I've tried most of my applciations and it never works. How do I download applications off the internet? Please help!
If the file extension is .EXE, you are downloading Windows compatible software, you need software that is Mac compatible. What software are you attempting to download?

Depending on which country you are in, then you might be able to re-download the music from iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . Otherwise have you not got a backup of your purchases on, for example, an external drive or DVD that you can copy back onto your computer and add into iTunes ?

Sorry - not sure what you are asking. The Purchased music on your device is either on your device (i.e., downloaded to it), or it is not downloaded, in which case it is in iTunes in the Cloud. On your Mac, the same is true. Each device or machine may have different Purchases downloaded from iTunes in the Cloud.

ITunes Store App - iPhone, "Download Error Tap to Retry"
New iphone 5S, iTunes Store App
At one point during a sync a lot of my music did not end up on the iPhone. I was on a road trip and wanted the music so I clicked "Download All" on my favorite playlist. For whatever reason 652 songs would not download, saying "Download Error. Tap to retry." I have since gotten home, sync'd and all those songs are now on the phone but the 652 songs remain in the Downloads part of the iTunes Store app with the same error (Download Error. Tap to retry."
I can't get them to go away, does anyone know how I can delete the download attempts?

When you say "account," do you mean your iTunes library, because your iTunes library is what is on your computer? Your iTunes library does not have an email address. An account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID (which is an email address) and you use it as your user name to sign in to the iTunes Store, to make purchases. Changing your Apple ID will not make songs disappear from your computer's iTunes library.
If you had an Apple ID and used it to make song purchases from the iTunes Store, and then started using a different Apple ID, you should be able to re-download the songs purchased with the old Apple ID. In iTunes, sign in to the iTunes Store using your OLD Apple ID (and password). That may not be your current email address, but Apple uses it as your user name, so it does not matter.
On the iTunes Store Home screen, click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS. This takes you do the Purchased screen, where you can re-download previous song purchases (for that Apple ID) at no cost.
NOTE: If those song purchases are from more than a few years ago, you may also need to authorize your computer to play (and sync) songs for your old Apple ID.
For songs that were not purchased from the iTunes Store, if they are also gone, you cannot get them back unless you have a backup (or they are still loaded on your old iPod).

my sons ipad uses my user name (i have an ipad and iphone). i want to set his ipad up with his own username and password. How do i do that, and can it be done without losing any of his apps, music or video?
Go to http://appleid.apple.com.
To clarify, the mere act of changing the Apple ID on the device will not remove any content. But you cannot update the apps or re-sync them if they get deleted without the old Apple ID. It may be best to download them again with the new ID.
