How do I download itunes 10.5 upgrade on my iphone?
When I plug my Iphone into my computer, my computer and itunes recongnize that I have plugged it in, but itunes says I need to download 10.5 on my iphone. I can not find a way to do it. It won't run on my iphone and there is no "check for updates" on my itunes app on my iphone.
I downloaded it for my computer, but when I plug in my iphone to my computer and open itunes it says:
"The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 10.5 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes.
So what do I need to do to get my iphone to work with itunes?

This means that you have to have iTunes 10.6.3 or later to sync your phone (required if you are using iOS 6). You download it to your computer, not to your phone. Open iTunes and check for updates to update it to the latest version. If you can't run the latest version (because, for example, you have a Mac with OS X 10.5.8), you can still download iTunes 10.6.3 here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/#itunes).

Simply connect your iPhone to your computer (Windows or Mac) and iTunes will automatically open. (You must already have iTunes installed.) Click on the iPhone device in the left-hand column and then on the right-hand side of the screen you will see your iPhone information. Click on the "Check for updates" button and the system will automatically update your iPhone for you. iTunes will tell you once the update process has completed, so don't disconnect the iPhone until then.

I have just bought a new computer and downloaded itunes. I plugged in my iphone and upgraded to the newest itunes/ synched etc. Now have no music or apps on the phone. Contacts, texts, photos all fine. Just all itunes content that is missiing. It isn't showing in my itunes account on my computer or on my phone. Any idea how to get it back? (No point synching with itunes on my computer as it isn't there either!)
I suggest copying your entire iTunes library to your new computer, also you might want to copy the photos you want to save. Then sync your device to the new iTunes and copy over your music, documents and photos that you want.
If you are no longer going to use the old computer you should open up iTunes on the old computer and use the menu to deauthorize it. Be sure to use the same iTunes menu on your new computer to Authorize the new one. -

You need to have the latest version of iTunes on the computer, version 11.1.3 to be able to handle syncing a newer phone with iOS 7. The iTunes on the iPhone has nothing to do with syncing and is installed by the iOS.
Go to iTunes on the computer, click on Help, Check for updates to update iTunes on the computer, or go to to www.apple.com/itunes/download and download and install the latest version of iTunes to correct your problem. -

Once upon a time, you could download the 32-bit version of iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/affiliates/download/, but the download link hasn't been updated recently and points to an old version of iTunes.

You do not.
iTunes like all programs is installed and only runs on the main drive (C) of the computer.
You can move the media to another drive.
Close iTunes.
Move the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the default location to the desired location.
While holding the SHIFT key, launch iTunes.
When prompted to create a new library or locate existing, choose the option to locate existing.
Point iTunes to the new location.
Then go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced and change the location of the iTunes library there. -

There are a couple of methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Method one which has already been described is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries. Method two is to set your preferences so that either one or both iPods get updated with only certain playlists within one library. Choosing the update option "automatically update selected playlists only" allows you to create a playlist specifically for each iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used by the other iPod. Make your playlist a Smart playlist and limit the size to just below the advertised capacity of your iPod ( for example, around 3700MB for a 4GB or 1800MB for a 2GB Mini or Nano). This has been a problem for 6 weeks now, I retry when I have time and patience and use my other laptop which is also Windows 7 and runs with no problem.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.
