No, to connect iPad to your TV, use one of the following cables:
Apple Digital AV Adapter and an HDMI cable
    Apple Component AV Cable
    Apple Composite AV Cable
Apple VGA Adapter and a VGA cable
Apple cables are available for purchase in many countries. Go to www.apple.com/store or check with your local Apple retailer.

  • How do I download/install software/plug-ins automatically

When I was using Windows XP, I could download software/plug-ins and thet would install automayically. How do I do that with FireFox and Windows 7?

    Hi Indollars,
Firefox is set up to automatically check for updates. Take a look at [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Updating%20Firefox?s=automatic+updates&r=0&as=s#w_how-do-automatic-updates-work this article] for details. As for plugins, Firefox doesn't automatically update those. You can use the [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugin Checker] to see if you have any plugins that need updating though.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • How to prevent Windows Media Player plug-in from overriding sizing in html embed code?

My html code for embedding Windows Media Player into a frame recently developed problems in Firefox but not IE 8. The player displays properly at first, but then repositions and resizes. It seems my width setting is honored, but not my height setting. Also, autoplay="false' (or "0") additionally is not honored- the video starts playing after the repositioning and resizing. I have tried different embed code with the same result. I have the correct Windows Media Player Firefox Plug-in and it is up to date. I tried updating to Firefox version 9.0.1, but the problem persists. I've come across web postings positing the plug-in settings are overriding embed code. Any workarounds appreciated. Thank you.

  • Windows Media Player plug-in issues - Safari 4.0.5 on Windows 7

    Hi guys,
I just did a fresh install of Windows 7 and of course the page to chose a browser popped up. Glad to see my beloved Safari browser to be available I installed it. Of course not all was running smoothly but after the 'mandatory' flash, Windows Media Player and QuickTime plug in I assumed all media content should run perfect in Safari.
Unfortunately not for WMV files. I get the 'Safari can't find the internetplugin, MIME-type application/x-mplayer2'error message.
I looked the issue up on the web of course and found out the trouble that Safari had with WMV streaming. What struck me is that this is a Mac only problem I believe (Flip4Mac solution). As I am running Windows 7 I was quite sure that Safari should be able to stream and play WMV files in the browser.
So I removed and installed the Windows Media Player plug-in again (http://www.apple.com/safari/download/plugins.html) but to no avail. I then removed Safari and installed it again, still same problem. I tried the Fire-Fox plug in, no solution.
It really drives me nuts to open IE8 only to play some WMV files in the browser. I hope someone can shed some light on this issue.
Strange thing I noticed: I can't see how I can manage my plug-ins. There seems to be no tab for it in the Safari settings and in the program-files folder I can only find Java.
Thank you so much for your time and effort.

I looked up the internet but can't find anything on this. As no replies here too I guess I'm the only one. The other thing that struck me is the enormous CPU usage when playing flash in the browser. Up to 95%-100% cpu usage when playing HD flash content. First I assumed it was a Flash issue but Internet Explorer never used more then 35%-55%. I then assumed it was just Flash in Safari. Strange thing is, if I maximize the window the cpu load actually drops to 55%. I only get high cpu usage when flash is played in the Safari window. I guess that means it's something to do with the browser and not an isolated flash 'bug'.
Also still no luck playing WMV in the browser itself. Maybe time to look for yet another browser. A shame as I like the Safari browser a lot. MobileMe and iPhone are great to sync bookmarks and the look and feel is great. The engine is not so good unfortunately.

  • Since I updated to firefox 5.0, the windows media player plug in for firefox doesnt work anymore :(

Ok I recently upgraded to firefox 5.0, and then when I went to a website that uses windows media player to watch videos and news reports, it said I needed to download the windows media player plug in for firefox. And yet I had already done that in the past. So it directs me to the plug in for windows media player 11, I download and install and it doesnt work. Website repeats the same message, you need to download plug in. It was working fine with firefox 4.0! I use the OS Windows 7, 64bit. Any help please?

Yes I did, at first it identified it as already there, so it gave the option of repairing it, etc, so I uninstalled the Windows Media Player, then Installed it again, and it still doesn't seem to work! I have the same problem with several other plug ins, in the add ons and plug in section of Mozilla tools, I see that say, "incompatible with firefox 5.0" but as days go by those add-ons, that are built by those other websites seem to be repairing it, but I wanted to know for something as important as windows media player plug in, am I the only one getting this problem? :/

  • How do you unblock a blocked plug-ins safari? when i go to the updated version to install it, it still tells me "blocked plug-in".

how do you unblock a blocked plug-ins safari? when i go to the updated version to install it, it still tells me "blocked plug-in".

I'll assume you mean Flash. If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 5.
    1. If you're only having trouble with YouTube videos, sign in to your YouTube account and load this page. You may see a link with the text "Leave the HTML5 Trial." If so, click that link.
    2. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then from the menu bar select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
    3. Triple-click the line below to select it:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
    Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. Delete the following item, or anything with a similar name, if present:
    Flash Player (failing).plugin
You may be prompted for your login password.
    4. Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:
Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
    5. If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked Enable plug-ins.
    6. Select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
    7. In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
    Close the window. Then select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.

  • Media player plug in will not install in server 2008

after installing firefox 3.6 in server 2008, not the server 2008 r2 but the original.
the firefox it self runs great BUT you can not listen to music in any web site using the media player plug in because the plug in refuses to install saying it can not run in server 2008.
server 2008 is a vista based system and uses many of the same drivers. so why is their no plug in that I can tell it how to install or what to install as and just have it do as it is told to do ?

  • How can the Windows Media Player 12 be made to play WVC210 .avi files?

I just built a new computer and it won't play the motion captured videos of the WVC210. It has Windows 7 Home Premium as the operating system. My machines running XP play the WVC210 files GREAT. Is there a codec I can add to the WMP12 so that it will play the .avi files. I have 3 cameras around the property, 2 WVC210 and 1 WVC200. 1 camera has the audio turned off so switching to MP4 (no audio) made that work OK. But the camera in the office I need to have audio and would rather stick to WMP over something like VLC. VLC plays the files fine but I much prefer WMP. I'm hopeing to find out how to have Windows Media Player 12 play the .AVI files from the WVC210 cameras. Any Help??

There appears to be issues with codecs on WMP 12 and Windows 7
AND\OR your WMP is missing the necessary codecs.
Google the Net and you should find different things to try

  • How to put vlc media player in i phone 4G

how to put vlc media player in i phone 4G

VLC Media Player no longer exists for iOS; it was removed due to a dispute between the developer of the iOS version and the original project. Unless you have a copy of the iOS version of VLC Media Player already, there is no way to put it on your iPhone.
If you do have a copy, downloaded during that short time when it was available, then please post back and describe the difficulty you're having.
    Regards.
By the way, just to avoid any potential confusion due to terminology, there is no "iPhone 4G". It's official name is the "iPhone 4".
