How do I download music on the new version of iTunes? My iPod is connected to my computer but when I would drag the music to download it on my iPod, the side window does not show up anymore, therefore it seems to not be connected to iTunes. HELP!
So ever since I downloaded the new version of iTunes, I have no idea how to add music to my iPod. On the last version, their was a box next to the iTunes Store box that said "_______'s iPod". Because I just used to drag my music to the box and add it through there, I have no idea where I would "drag" my music file now to add it. Simply, I just need to know how to add music to my iPod again in the most recent version of iTunes on my computer (11.1.5).
Cntrl + S will enable the side bar.
Then you can manually manage media on your iDevice as you always have.
Alternatively, control the content on the device by syncing the playlists and other media that you desire to the device.

My son installed a toolbar and I uninstalled it but it didn't disappear. A friend told me if I uninstall firefox and re install it, that the toolbar would be gone. I uninstalled firefox and went to reinstall it and it told me I had to restart to get rid of the old version completely, I restarted my computer and tried to install it again and it keeps coming up with the "you must restart your computer" thing. If the toolbar installed something into the rest of the system, you will see an entry in the Control Panel in the software uninstall applet which should be removed. You might need to make a new profile if you cannot find an extension that has something to do with the toolbar.

I just received a brand new iPod touch as a gift. But when I try to play music on it the speaker is extremely slow. When I plug in headphones I hear nothing. Tried multiple headphones. Tried a restore. It never dropped or anything

You said you restored the iPod. Was the restore successful, that is, it went though all the steps without errors?
Try a restore to factory settings/new iPod if yuhave not doe so so far.
Are you using the headphones that came with the iPod? Are you inserting the plug fully
Have you tried another set of headphones in the iPod?

My docking station wont play my ipod..... the ipod works fine on its own but when I try to play via my hifi I have to put the sound full wack to be able to hear it & its not very lound at all. You can only import photos from the camera roll into the computer. Is that the album that you are seeing?
Any albums that you create on the device itself (the iPad that is) cannot be transferred to your computer. iPad created albums do not contain copies of your photos but merely pointers to those photos so they do not actually exist in those albums. -

I just bought a new laptop and my ipod nano will not stay connected to my computer. When I first connect the ipod it starts to sync on my ipod but not on itunes. The ipod is initially connected to my computer, I can see it when I look on devices in my computer. However, when it finishes syncing it is no longer detected to my computer. I cannot transfer any of my songs to my new laptop because of this. I have tried to reinstall itunes, reset my ipod and use a different port. None of these things worked. Any ideas?

Any Firefox updates are set to automatically update on my computer. I currently have version 4.0.
Since the NEW version has been installed, I've receive an update notice for a critical update several times. Each time I select to apply that update the dialog display never apply any update, it looks to be in a processing state but never completes. Of late I've had 2 unexpected issues surface. (1) a Flash Player stopped flashing, an "player stopped" message appeared, "send error report" and a reload player message was included. (2) I just received a error message > 400 "Bad Request" when the browser first opened. This has never happened before.

I just realized that I wrote that I installed from app store originally, but I must correct that statement. I never paid for the app so it must have come preinstalled on my 2011 iMac. I was confused since the update is through the store so I assumed I downloaded it. Sorry for any miscommunication.
So to be clear, even though I have never remotely administered / accessed my computer and I no longer have ARD on my computer, it is normal to have the client update appear in my App Store. Is that correct?

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
