How do I download new Built-In Apps (Reminders) to my iPad

Got iPad about two months ago.   See that ther are new Builty-In applications like Reminders...just don't know how to download then to my iPad...Thanks

You need to update to iOS 5 on your iPad, and they should then appear.
To update to iOS 5 you first need iTunes 10.5 on your computer. When you've got iTunes 10.5 installed then connect your iPad to it and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. You should also backup the device (right-click the iPad 'device' and select 'back up'), and copy off any important documents, file, notes etc (e.g. by email, the file sharing section at the bottom of the Apps tab in iTunes, wifi, whatever the apps that you use support) - the update process should backup and restore the content but it's best to be safe.
If iTunes doesn't prompt you to update to iOS 5 on your iPad, then with your iPad connected to and selected on the left-hand side of it, then on the Summary tab on the right-hand side click the Check For Updates button.

I set-up my iphone 4 from a back-up of my iphone 3 - the new built-in apps are not displaying on my phone - how do I get new built in apps back?

What apps are you referring to specifically.  If they are preinstalled apps they cannot be deleted so may have been moved it onto a screen or into a folder, the Utilities folder seems to be a common folder for them to move to.  Check all screens and folders and do a search in Spotlight, it will tell you if the app it still on your iPhone but unfortunately not where it is. If you find it on one or your screens or in a folder, press the icon until it wiggles and then drag it back to where you want it.  Alternatively you can reset your home screen in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

  • HT1711 How do I update new versions of Apps using the new iTunes?

Good day all. I am having problems downloading updated versions of some Apps using the new iTunes. How do I update new versions of Apps using the new iTunes?

You can go back to the old view with the left-hand sidebar via View > Show Sidebar (if you are on windows then alt-v should show the View drop-down menu) - which is what I'm currently doing as I'm familiar with that way.
Or, on the new view you can click on the library type at the top left and select Apps and then Check For Updates at the bottom right of the screen. When you've downloaded the updates to your computer, click on Library top right to go back to your library view from the store, then select the iPad (top right) and Sync at the bottom right should then copy the updates to your iPad.

Before you can download free apps:
    1. Make sure you are using IOS 7 (ignore)
    2. Make sure your iPad is registered in My Support Profile.

    3. Try downloading again; it should be free.

  • How to restore a deleted built-in app (Maps)?  App disappeared: IOS 4 & 3GS

Does anyone know how to restore a deleted built-in app?
In my case the Maps app disappeared. According to other posts in this forum you cannot delete a built-in app such as Maps but it has happened on my iPhone 3GS.
    I'm running IOS 4.

If you are unable to locate the Maps app you can still access it from the Spotlight search window. Just type in Maps, look for the familiar interstate 280 icon, tap there and you will enter the Maps app. This will work for you until you can locate the icon, which hopefully you will.

  • How can I get the built in apps from iPad 2 to my iPad 1?

How can I get the built in apps from ipad2 to my iPad 1?

Is your iPad 2 running iOS 5.0.1 and your ipad 1 running iOS 4? If this is the case then go through the update process on your iPad 1. All the iPad 2 apps running on iOS 5 that are compatible with the iPad 1 will be put on your iPad 1. Those apps that require a camera will not appear because the iPad 1 does not have a camera.

How do I delete unwanted built in apps from my iPod Touch, ios 5.1.1?  I want to conserve memory on my device.

Well, you can't delete them totally...but you could stop using them or reset them. Just erase everything you use in those apps. You could also block them using parental controls, this will take them off your home screen but no, you cannot completely delete these apps.
    Hope this helps you

How do I download older versions of apps which I purchased for my iPod Touch to my computer?  I am using iOS 4.2.1 and many apps have been updated to no longer work on older iPods.  I know I need to go to the iTunes store but there isn´t a navigation from there.

You can't download them; you can only sync previously downloaded copies from your iTunes library.

  • Iphoto won't down load because My mac is a lion 10.75 I need 10.10?how do I download iPhoto, and other apps that won't download?

iPhoto app won't down load because My mac is a lion 10.7.5 I need 10.10 ? how do I download iPhoto, and other apps that won't download? They were uninstalled by mackeeper (with me as an unwitting accomplice Thanks
I've reinstalled lion os 10.7.5 and got the app store app back.
Even though iPhoto etc are purchased by me in app store, theres no way they'll download.

    then
    reinstall from the original source
    Could be
1 - the restore disks that came with the computer - if it came with CDs and you do not know where they are then contact Apple to see if they can be replaced
    or
2 - the iLife DVD that you purchased
    or
3 - the app store - log in under the Apple id used to purchase the software or to set up the computer - look under purchases - you might have to unhide or accept the Application first
