How do I download photos from my computer to the Iphone?
I did connect and opened photos on my computer and attempted to "drag" the photo to the Iphone but message said Device disconnected or something.
Go to the iTunes Store.
Plug your iPhone into your PC (use the USB cable provided with the phone).
Next, look for the iTunes Store bar-icon towards the top right ( where it is on my PC screen).
Next to it an iPhone bar-icon will pop up. Click it and follow instructions. After that, your phone will auto sync photos and tunes when you
plug it into iTunes.

The easiest way I have found is to put the ones I want in an album in iPhoto. Then, in iTunes, I select that album for syncing. From then on, I can change the album all I want and the changes are applied to the iPhone (or iPad) every time I sync.
Same as for music.Put them into playlists/albums/genres and select that playlist/album/genre in iTunes for syncing. -

on your mac, e-mail the photo to your yourself (your iphone-linked email account).
on your iphone open the mail app
open the e-mail that has your photo.
tap on photo
tap on save image
the image will go into your iphone's photo app into camera roll.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Photos are moved from the computer to the iPhone via the sync process in iTunes. When the phone is connected to iTunes, you select the phone, go to the photos tab and then select the folders you want to sync to the phone, then sync.
