You cannot. The apps are assigned to that Apple ID and there is nothing you can do to change that. You could choose to download them again with the new Apple ID, any paid apps will need to be purchased again.

Hi, I have an issue with my Mac Book Pro 15 Inch Mid 2010. I have installed Windows 8.1 operating system during week end and only windows is opening when I log in the mac. I don't know how to switch back to apple OS. Can some one please help?

Windows 8.1 installed on my Mac and now I am not able to open Apple OS. Mac is opening straight windows with out an option to open Apple OS. My Mac is running on the latest Yosemite OS.

Can some one give me clear answer how to set timeouts on URLConnection ?

I am amazed why Sun did not specify a simple method like setReadTimeout
on URLConnection or provide a way to get refernce to the underlying socket objet. By default the timeout is infinite!
I am using JDK 1.4 and these appraoches:
-Dsun.net.client.defaultConnectTimeout=<value in milliseconds>
-Dsun.net.client.defaultReadTimeout=<value in milliseconds>
also don't work.
I do not have access to Socket object. Please help.
I am using URLConnection in my client application on HTTPS and doing heavy load form POST processing. I tried
Sockets as well but they don't work. URLConnection works perfectly fine except for the timeouts nightmare.

OK this might sound crazy but you may have been onto it right from the start. I was having the exact same (frustrating) problem with the URLConnection waiting forever on a dead server and no way to terminate it. I tried something like what you said in your first post:
System.setProperty("sun.net.client.defaultReadTimeout", "10000");
and it worked. I played around with the number and it it was apparent to the naked eye that it was working (if you can believe that...).
Of course, I'm using JDK 1.4.1_01 by now, so this might be different now.

HT4914 How do I download my entire iTunes library back to my computer and iPhone ?

The things I love about iTunes Match are:
upgraded audio quality
entire music library backed up to cloud to prevent loss
available on multiple devices anywhere*
The thing I hate about iTunes Match is that if I don't have access to WiFi or Cellular then I have NO ACCESS to my music. Since I travel often and am frequently in situations where there is no Wifi/Cellular (or it's to expensive when in another country) I'm left with no options.
My question is - How do I download my ENTIRE ITunes Library to both my computers, iphone and ipads?
I can't image clicking the "download icon" on 50,000 songs... is there a workaround for this?

Archived - How to back up your media in iTunes
If you use a regular CD, then you will need a lot (depending on how many songs, videos, or apps) I recommend using DVDs so that way, you can store a lot. (CDs hold up to 800MB or 80min.; DVDs hold up to 4.7GB or 120 min.)

A folder named Library popped up in Pictures. I didn't want the entire Library, just the one album.
When I open the Library Folder in Pictures, I get sub folders dated with years.

This looks like you were viewing your iPhoto Library; the contents of the Masters folder. Is your original iPhoto library still there?

In general, whatever you see in your iTunes app (playlists, songs, etc) should also be displayed in GarageBand when you select the Audio tab in the Media Browser.
One hidden feature is that you can have multiple iTunes Libraries (as you can have multiple iPhoto Libraries).
When you click on the iTunes icon in the Dock and immediately after the click hold down the option key, the following window will pop up.
It lets you create a new empty Library or choose to open a different existing Library (that you have created before). Whatever Library you chose the last time you opened iTunes will be the "current" iTunes Library and that is the one that is displayed in GarageBand. (it is a system wide preference). You even can have GarageBand open while switching to a different iTunes Libraries and GarageBand will update the displayed Media Browser content.

So in case you used that feature, you might see a different iTunes content than you expected.
(BTW, this "multiple Libraries" feature comes in also very handy with iPhoto, where you can have separate Libraries for you family, your band, your business, or whatever you want to separate photos. Also good for individual backups)

How do I transfer an entire music library from old PC that crashed to new PC

I purchased a new computer and before I could transfer my music library to the new computer (Windows 8.1), my old PC (windows XP) crashed and I can't get access to it any longer. I was bought a Mac book pro as a birthday gift from the Apple Store in Leicester, after completing the initial set up procedure, I noticed that the trash bin was full of some one's entire photo collection from 2003 to 2011.
This is entirely unacceptable for Apple: How long have Apple been fobbing of consumers who believe they were genuinely purchasing a 'new' Mac book?
How is it that I have someones entire photo collection on my 'branch new Mac Book Pro' - these photos included wedding photo's, birthday celebrations, family celebrations and children. Its a serious breach of data protection, it's an invasion of some poor persons privacy and private photo collection. What concerns me the most, is what could have happened if those photo's had fallen into the wrong hands. We managed to trace, locate and contact the person who the photo's belong to within 10 mins using information taken from their wedding album.
Understandably these people are also very distressed that their personal photos are on my brand new Mac Book pro.
I would like details of who to contact in regards this incident.

There is a checkbox above those two options for how to sync. It says Sync Music; it enables automatic syncing. That box needs to be checked before you can select from the two options for how automatic syncing is performed.
NOTE: If the iPod is current set up to Manually manage music [and videos], checking that Sync Music box replaces its current content with content from your iTunes library, based on how automatic syncing is set up on that screen.
So, if your goal is to add ONE playlist to an iPod that is managed manually, you do not want to do this because iTunes will erase the iPod's current content and replace it with just that ONE selected playlist (and whatever else you select on that Music settings screen).
Instead, if the iPod currently uses the manual setting, you need to add playlists manually to the iPod (not use the automatic syncing setting). Please post back with more details about your situation.
