How do I download the newest software in my case??
I am totally desperate. I have a Ipod (first generation, but updated with the software that came before the latest) filled with 10 000 photos -all printscreens made by pressing the home button and on/off button shortly at the same time. My problem here: how do I transfer those photos to my laptop? My Ipos won't make a backup anymore - I tied that, but it took around 5 hours before a error popped up saying I removed my ipod and that the back-up failed. I want to install the new software available for the iPod touch, but it doesn't work because the iPod doesn't have a back-up and I don't ant to loose all my data. I also have 2 computers, wich both share a part of the data on my iPod, meaning I have no computer that holds all data.Plus, 'my computer' doesn't recognise my Ipod as d: or a USB stick. So I can't view my data on the computer.

are you getting an error message, Odessa? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
if you're not getting an error message, describe what happens when you try to transfer songs to the ipod as best you can. -

What version of Photoshop are you running? You will need at CS5, CS6, CC or CC2014. Each version needs a different ACR-plug-in to open files from that camera.
If you are on CS4 or earlier, you'll need to upgrade—or, in the alternative; look for, download, instal, launch and run the free, stand-alone DNG Converter 8.6 on each file of raw NEF files to convert them to raw DNGs first so you can open them in your version of Photoshop and ACR plug-in higher than 2.4. -
Help: I have recently downloaded the newest software version for apple products. I have a iPod touch. After the process of updating my software, my photo app doesn't work anymore. I can't take pictures or view them at all. Every time I try opening the app it kicks me out of it and sends me to the home screen. I have tried turning off my iPod and back on multiple times. Even double tapping the home screen button and closing my opened apps. And I tried looking for the photo app in the app store but I did not see it. So I am wondering what can I do? And is this due to the new software update? Does anyone else have this problem?
No, I have not tried any backup tools. I havent restored my ipod back to factory settings yet and then sync everything back on it. I am kind of scared too because I dont want to lose anything. I have just been hoping some new apple software update will come out because I know several people have had problems when updating to the newest version available.

iTunes on the iPad is part of iOS. It can't be downloaded separately. I suspect that the error message you're getting is actually telling you to update iTunes on your computer.

I just bought a new iphone 5 and when i plugged my phone it to the computer it told me i needed the new itunes so i downloaded it and then the new itunes wouldn't open without the software 10.6.8 or later. I have the 10.5.8 software. How do I downlowd the new software. It doesn't come up on software updates either.

An iPhone 5 needs iTunes 11, and iTunes 11 requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later, so upgrading to Snow Leopard will work.
First, check if your Mac is supported > http://support.apple.com/kb/sp575 If it's supported, buy Snow Leopard > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Then, you have to make a Time Machine backup and/or a clone with Carbon Copy Cloner onto an external disk. After that, you can upgrade to Snow Leopard, so insert the DVD and upgrade.
The DVD will install Mac OS X 10.6.3, so open > Software Update and install 10.6.8. You may need to run Software Update again in order to install iTunes 11 -

My iphone 3gs is not recognised in either windows 7 or in the latest itunes. It was briefly but then Windows asked me if I wanted to open the camera with Windows media player and I clicked ok. I also tried to download the new software for the phone. Now nothing works. I also downloaded a programme which you supposedly need for iphone with windows 7
Any help pleaseThe ONLY program you need for an iPhone on Windows 7 is iTunes. Remove whatever the other program is, then remove and re-install iTunes as diesel vdub recommends.

When I downloaded the most recent software update the location services Icon showed up even thought I was not running any programs. Is this something new and is it going to drain my battery? This was not happening before the download. I am told I have to just turn off the location services biut I do use them on a daily basis and it seems to be a pain to have to shut if off everytime. Does anyone know how to fix this or am I just screwed until I upgrade the phone?
