How do i download video from iphone 4 to a Mac Compatible Seagate GoFlex external hard drive, drag and drop loads an icon without any data?

I took some video over christmas using my iphone 4 and ever since i have been trying to back up these videos for safe keeping. When i tried to back up to my computer's c drive only the smallest file would load, the other 2 the icon would appear but no data was present in properties. so i then tried to drag and drop to my seagate 3tb GoFlex hard drive and i would also get icons but no data. It seems to me this would be a simple process anyone know the answer? I have windows xp and can seem to move everything else around without any problem just seems to be video as the problem?

Hi. I'm struggling with the new iPhone, I use Aperture to manage my photos, and have the phone set to sync with that program rather than iPhoto. When I sync, I do not see my video available to import either in Aperture or iTunes. Any thoughts? Apple's help is not helping, they make it sound like video automagically downloads from the phone. This just got me too. It's a bit stupid but the trick is to make sure you have at least one still photo in the phone camera roll. When importing that photo Aperture will ask you if you want other files (ie the videos) downloaded too. So just take a quick snap before you sync.

The Mac App Store should have been installed when you updated your Mac to Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.6, 10.6.7 or 10.6.8.
Try downloading the 10.6.8 update combo and applying it over your current installation of 10.6.8 and it will hopefully fill in the missing pieces.
