How Do I Dynamically Update a PDF Textbox Using Excel Like Columns Which Automatically Wrap and Size

I am trying to dynamically display a list rooftop units to which are associated to each product our company produces.
Our website is database driven and each product has a link to a PDF file which explains the product, and a "List" of each rooftop unit which this product can be used upon. This "List" of units is changing and are updated constantly. We are currently manually updating each PDF. We have thousands and it has become unmanageable. In some cases this "List" may contain only be several units, in others the "List" will contain hundreds. Additionally, the rooftop units when described are anywhere from 6 to 50 characters long. Therefore, we can't just dedicate a set window to populate the information. The list must flow into the window in columns and be smart enough to best consolidate and wrap itself, so not to use countless pages. We prefer the first page to describe the product and the second page to contain all the associated units in columns with an auto font capability.
We have Acrobat X Pro version 10. We are considering LiveCycle. Everything and everyone says yes it can do this; however, no one can tell us specifically how or show us examples.
I have figured out how to create the "List" in a comma separated string, but it is very confusing and hard to read. Does anyone know how to list the data in a table... in flowing columns similar to an Excel spreadsheet?

I understand why you need updated running headers in your book. To a sighted reader these serve as a guide to where you are and help you find things quickly. In addition, if you are exporting your data to XML or HTML from the tagged PDF it would also be important to have these in the proper location.
But for accessibility purposes, it doesn't have to be there because the screen reader reads everything in linear order, line by line. No one is looking at the page. A user listening to the screen reader read the page is going to hear this heading, just before the actual word itself. So they will hear the first word on the page twice. It's not the end of the world if it's there, but such headings are not necessary for accessibility unless they are not repetitive and contain information that is not otherwise available.
So I would say, fine if you need them or want them there, it's just one word.
I think you should try exporting your book to PDF (or even just a chapter of the book) and look at the tags panel in Acrobat to see if you are getting the result you want. I can't tell you exactly what you should do to get those results, you are using a plug-in I don't have.
I can tell you I didn't have to add the headers to any article at all, they just automatically export if the other articles in the file are added and you don't select the header style option "not for export as XML."
You may not experience the same results with your plug-in, but I think it will probably work the same way.

Hello pf1tarac, I don't believe that is possible. In order to create a PDF file, you would need Adobe Acrobat or some other PDF compatible product to save a scan to the PDF format.

According to your description, you want to connect multiple database from multiple servers using dynamic connection.
If in this case, we can create a Table in our local database (whatever DB we want) and load all the connection strings. We can use Execute SQL Task to query all the connection strings and store the result-set in a variable of object type in SSIS package.
Then use ForEach Loop container to shred the content of the object variable and iterate through each of the connection strings. And then Place an Execute SQL task inside ForEach Loop container with the SQL statements we have to run in all the DB instances.

For Premiere Elements 11 and 12, you cannot change its default project preset from NTSC AVCHD Full HD1080i30 or its PAL counterpart PAL AVCHD Full HD1080i25 to something else.
For each project, you can set the project preset manually if you do not want the program to take over setting the project preset based
on the properties of the first drag to the Timeline.
To set the project preset manually, open the project to the Expert workspace, go to File Menu/New/Project and Change Settings.
In the Change Settings area, change the project preset. Before you exit that area, be sure to have a check mark next to "Force Selected Project Setting on This Project" in the new project dialog.
Then you import your source media, using the appropriate Add Media choice.

Dynamic updates in dropdown field using presentation

My requirement is as follows:
1)     Combination of text box & dropdown in the presentation.
2)     Dropdown is dependent on the text box.
3)     If user will enter the two characters in the text box then automatically drop down will be fill the list of the string(s) starting with entered 2 characters.
Ex:
In side text box I entered “GO”.
In the drop down it should populated with list of cities start with “GO”.
Please let me know if any one having the solution satisfying above requirement.

A few ideas when testing this.

How to add text to a pdf file using Access VBA??

I'm down on my hands and knees, begging. I have 300 files that I want to put a variable string at the top of the first page (centered, or at the right hand side). I am using Acrobat X and Microsoft Access 2010 and I do have the SDK and have spend over 10 hours so far searching it and the internet in general, for help and still am coming up empty handed.
I can do the looping and passing variables with my eyes closed, but I cannot get the syntax for the actual opening of the pdf and inserting the string.
I was trying to modify code I found yesterday that is supposed to add an annotation, but I don't want an annotation, I just want a string of text at the top of page 1. For now, all I want is to be successful at doing ONE file. Can someone please give me a concrete example of the code I need to use? Like I said, I'm in begging mode

You cannot skip arguments, you can either use the function with one
argument (just the required argument), or you have to provide all of them.
Also, it looks like you are trying to specify 20 parameters, even though

How to stream YouTube video in PDF document using ID 5.5?

I'm using ID 5.5 and know how to insert a video into a document using the Media palette, "Insert video from URL" option. However, I need to stream a YouTube video in an interactive PDF document, and when I try to insert the link from YouTube into the "Insert Video from URL" box, ID doesn't recognize it. I assume this is because YouTube video links don't end with a typical video format file-name ending, such as ".mp4" or ".mov"
Has anyone been able to stream a YouTube video into a document using ID 5.5? If so, how did you do it?
Downloading the video and inserting it as a regular video file isn't an option because we need to keep the PDF file size down.

It can't be done. A YouTube video cannot be streamed in any digital publishing media—PDF, EPUB, or DPS.
There are applications which claim to be able to convert a YouTube video into a real digital publishing format like H264-encoded MP4 (preferred), but you'll have to investigate those on your own.

I would like to force Safari 3.1.2 to open all PDF links using Adobe Acrobat 7.1.0. How do I accomplish this? I have no problem making Safari use the Adobe Reader, however, I would like to use the full Adobe Program so I can save and download interactive PDF forms I have filled out on the web. Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately, it is not working for me. I have both Adobe Acrobat v. 7.1.0 and Acrobat Reader v. 9.0.0 running on my computer. In either program's preferences both programs are availabe when I choose the program to display PDF files in the browser (Safari). There is no problem setting Safari's PDF handling to the default value.
When I choose Acrobat Reader to be the program to display PDF files in the browser, Safari will indeed use Acrobat Reader. However, when I choose Adobe Acrobat v. 7.1.0, Safari does not use the Adobe Acrobat program to display the PDF file, rather the file is displayed by the PDF handling features built in to Safari. I have found no way to make Safari use the full version of Adobe Acrobat. PDF files residing on my computer opens without difficulty using my copy of Adobe Acrobat v. 7.1.0. Do you have any other ideas that would help solve this problem?

secondly, with regards to the options , here are some options:
1. Use trigger for update.
2. Use materialized view(refresh on commit)
3. Use oracle advance queing mechanism (OAQ) for queing the recent inserted/updated records.

How do i dynamically populate a table with an excel file?

I need to move a doc from a Word file to some kind of help file (chm, webhelp, whatever). The Word doc has a bunch of tables where most of the data is the same for each customer. Unfortunately, the software has been updated in such a way as to make two of the columns customer specific.
The customer specific data will be stored in an Excel worksheet on the customer's server.

Sorry but there is no way to do this. With this setup those two columns would have to be manually updated. Alternatively you could save the Excel file as a HTM file and import that into your RH project.
