I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

How do I take two separate non numeric fields in a acrobat form and combine the data to display in a third separate field?

You have to use custom JavScripting to concatenate the first 2 fields. You cannot use the first 2 calculation options because they force the values of the fields to a numeric value or ignore string values.
Possible scripts for the 3rd field are:
event.value = this.getField("Text1").valueAsString + " " + this.getField("Text2").valueAsString;
or
event.value = this.getField("Text1").valueAsString.concat( " ", this.getField("Text2").valueAsString);
If you do not want change the separator or not show the separator when on or the other field is empty, you will need to add more code to adjust for change.
The above scripts will also concatenate number because the field values are read as strings and not numbers.
There is also a generalized user written function to concatenate up to 3 fields with a separator that adjust for missing data.

Hello. I am using Yosemite and finding it difficult to e-mail a photo like I used to be able to. Previously I would select a photo, then
click on the bottom right and the photo would show up in my Mac mail program. Now when I select the photo it comes up with the to/from/subject
right in the iPhoto program. I tried sending it by clicking on Share/Mail and it goes out but I have no idea where the sent copy is as it is not in
my Mac Mail sent file. Is there any way I can click on the photo and have it show up in Mac Mail so I could send it from there?

You are welcome - they are in the receiver's inbox - when you use iPhoto last th email client there is no sent mailbox - one of many reasons that I personally recommend that people use mail

How do I stop Mail from including myself in 'reply to all' emails?

I often am in email conversations with many participants. I have to use the 'reply to all' functionality daily and it keeps adding my own email address in the list of CCs. Now, I figured, that this could be because of my exchange accounts aliases. So I get email to address2 and only my address1 is configured in Mail.
Okay, but how do I add the alias to the exchange account? When I try editing it in Mail -> Preferences -> Accounts -> Account Information, the field email address is greyed out. Unlike all other email accounts I have configured, the exchange account doesn't seem to let me edit the email address field.
Why is that, and how can I circumvent this inability? Commandline maybe? Any clues?

PS: The Mail app does not seem to be listed in the locations. Sorry I had to post this here, but it seemed the logical alternative.

The solution could be, as I suggested, to add multiple aliases in the email field. Now, instead of using command line to change the accounts.plist file, as some users hinted, it works to do the following:
change the outgoing (smtp) server on the exchange account.
switch to another tab (save)
switch back to the exchange account and add the aliases (the field is no longer greyed out)
save again
be happy and confused at the same time.

How can I get my G5 OSX 10.5.8 to quit trying to handle my mail? I have yahoo and when im on a site the computer wont ley me contact them unless i sign up for mail plus which you have to pay for. Is there a way to make it stop?

when I'm on a web site and I need to contact them the Mac wont let me do it. I have Yahoo mail but It wants me to sign up for yahoo's mail plus account which cost money so it can communicate with them. I dont want mail plus and I dont want to have to use different mail then my yahoo account. The only way with what you desire & have is to Right click or Control+click on the eMail link on the site, choose Copy Email Address, open Yahoo Mail in your Browser, New Message, then Paste in the To: bar.
WebMail is a real pain, Yahoo is a pain... are you sure you wouldn't like to modernize & streamline things with a new free POP or IMAP accont like HotMail/Live.com, or GMail?

If you have a rescue email address setup, then you should be able to send an email to reset the password or the security questions. If that is not available, then you would need to contact iTunes Store support. Check out the article below for more information.

How do I keep FCP from auto-distorting my video when I drag it into the timeline?

FCP keeps auto distorting my video when I drag it into the timeline. It keeps setting the motion aspect ratio to -12.5, then when I set it to 0 and render, the video has lost significant quality even though I have my motion render settings to: best. I figure it is this motion distort which is ruining my quality on render because the avi from the camera is ridiculously clean and un-pixelated. How do I keep FCP from auto-distorting my video? It makes no sense that it does, because at -12.5 aspect ratio, FCP is creating a letterbox for my video. I just want the video to fill the entire canvas that I chose! There must be a setting somewhere that I have missed, but I cannot figure it out for the life of me. Please help!
I have a video shot on my Pentax K-r that is 1280x 720p 25fps. When run it in quicktime pro, the inspector affirms this sizing. And in QTpro there is no letterbox present when the original is played.
In FCP I have the sequence settings at:
HDTV 720p (16:9) (which is 1280 720)
Timebase: 25
I have tried to turn anamorphic on, then off in the clip format settings, and also turn the anamorphic on and off in the sequence settings. No combination seems to correct the problem.

Hi I have done some more digging and found this:
1) In the bottom left corner of FCPX, click the film reel so that you can see all your projects:
2) Select the project you are having problems with and then in the inspector window, click on the spanner icon in the lower right side:
3) Finally a window appears so that you can choose the settings for the video you are using:

You restore from a backup that was created after the text was received but before it was deleted.
But if you literally deleted it right after it came in, then it's not recoverable. Have the other person resend the text.
