How do I edit and then export so as to retain my GPS data?

Im shooting Nikon D5100 and D3200 Cameras with Nikon GP1 GPS receivers. Im shooting jpg FINE and LARGE. I can import, batch and/or individual edit, rename, number ect. and then able export but after I export my images my GPS data is gone. Im running an iMac with the latest OS and LR 5.2 64bit
I do not do anything else with LR except as follows:
I import directly from a desk top file folder and export to a new seperate file folder within the original folder. I DO NOT keep any images "in" light room at all and do not "auto import" or anything else. I remove all pics from LR after I have exported them then import the next batch of pics. I have my own filing and storage system of doing things do dont need those functions.
Im just using LR to straighten & crop and do basis exposure, contrast, and sharpening my pics thats it. I have a few presets for batching which is great. Im running hundreds of pics at time with no issues and Im also able to tweak large tiff files. All very simple editing and LR paid for itself after my very first use.
I am re-naming and numbering my pics and then exporting them. Nothing fancy here. As mentioned I remove the imported pics from LR when Im done editing and exporting them and then import the next batch. Its great. All very simple editing and re-naming.
I need to be able to do all of this editing and keep the GPS data that was recorded on the pics on the camera with the GP1. Any help with an answer on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

I scrolled down to Metadata in Export and "Copyright Only" was selected and the "remove locaction info" box was ticked. I will run a test set of images with "All Metadata" selected and "remove Location Info" un-checked too see if it will work. Thank you very much!

  • How to permanantly save, and then export a video that was trimmed in iphoto

    I am trying to trim a video in iphoto and save the trimmed version and then export the trimmed version to my iphone. When I export, I get the untrimmed version on my iphone. Thanks for your help.

    What version of iPhoto and system are you using.  There are several versions of iPhoto and we can't offer a solution until we know which version you're using of iPhoto and the system.

  • How I can edit and then update multiple rows via JSP to Action Class?

    Hi All,
    I have a JSP page which allows users to edit the some properties for all Object returned by the db. They can then submit the changes to a Action Class which i.e.
    <form action="/SaveUserNames">
    <table>
    <c:forEach items='${requestScope["users"]}' var='user'>
    <tr align="center">
    <td><input type="text" name="userBean[ i ].firstname" value="..."/></td>
    <td><input type="text" name="userBean[ i ].surname" value="..."/></td>
    </tr>
    </c:forEach>
    <tr>
    <td><button type="submit">Save</button></td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </form>
    In the ActionForm, there is a method, which would allow the Struts code to update my beans with the data the user editted:
    public UserBean getUserBean(int i) {
    return userBeanList.item(i);
    Although I am not sure how I can update the beans in the Action Class with what the user submitted.
    Can somebody help me for this point or can me suggest any design pattern to solve this points?
    Thanks
    Amit

    Fetch values for each user data and put into a Hashtable and then update.
    Userid is the key
    User related data is the bean (like firstname, lastname, age, job, etc), so you have ArrayList of user bean.

  • ACK! - Any Edit and then export of Current defaults to 72 ppi? - ACK!

    I just happened to notice that the JPG I just exported from I photo was only 72ppi...
    After testing, I looks like any export out of iPhoto, other then exporting the original, will default to 72ppi and not 300ppi.
    Why in the world is this the case?
    This makes no sense to me... what am I not seeing?
    If I make any minor edits in iPhoto, for printing purposes, then export the current version of the image out of iPhoto, it will be only 72ppi.
    Someone please explain this to me!
    ACK!

    To add to Terences's response if you look at that 72 dpi file in PHotoshop or some editor that can read the dpi and print size you'll see that the print size may be very large since, at 72 dpi, a 1600 x 1200 file will print a 22" x 16" photo. If you print that same image file to a 4x6 the the dpi will go up to around 266-300. It's all relative to the size of print selected.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Can you edit AVCHD movies and then export them as AVCHD losslessly?

    As the title suggests, is it possible to create an AVCHD project in iMovie with AVCHD files (1920x1080 60p) edit them and then export them losslessly with a new Imac? I know of only one program that can do that and that one doesn't allow anything other than simple cuts & trims. You can't add music or any sophisticated editing.

    No.

  • Subtitle workflow. Is it possible to import srt files into premiere and then export to Encore?

    Hi, I'm editing a series of short documentaries that wil be published in DVD with subtitles, and I'm wondering if there's any way to import srt files into Premiere and then export the project to Encore.

    You can easily (and better, IMHO) do what you want in Adobe Prelude.  It's part of the CC subscription, and may have been included with CS6.
    Open the Ingest panel, navigate to the external drive where you have your source clips, make the thumbnails in the Ingest panel comfortably large, click a video clip to enable scrubbing, and use the J-K-L keys to navigate playback through the clips.  Put a check mark on the clips you want and be sure to select and set up the Transfer option on the right side of the panel before ingesting.  Don't select the Transcode option.
    Cheers,
    Jeff

  • Workflow for marking clips and then exporting them out as individual clips with audio?

    Hello,
    I'm just starting to use Prelude.  I recorded an interview for my daughter for a school project last week.  The interview went well, but I want to mark as "sub-clips" all of the video interview's question/answer combos (e.g. "What is your name?  My name is John Doe.") and then save them out to individual clips rather than have to manage the full size files (about 40GB in all from my Panasonic GH3, 50mbps, IPB MOV) with clip markers.  I'll keep the originals as backups, but would really rather work with the individual clip files.
    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!  I would think this would be a very simple and common function.  Basically, just dividing up the original video into multiple, standalone video clips with the same bit-rate, encoding, etc., but with new headers/EOF markers.  Just chopping the original files up into chunks with no changes or reencoding necessary.  If I can do it the way I imagine it, it should be a very quick process, at least compared to transcoding the files.
    Best regards,
    Scott

    Hi -
    Meg The Dog's suggestion will work if you don't intend to bring in all of your media off the card.  The Partial Ingest method will allow you to selectively create subclips during ingest and not transfer the full original clips.
    However, you do state you plan to keep all your media - not just the parts you want to subclip. So here's my suggestion for the workflow:
    1. Ingest all your media from your cameras (the entire clips - not the partial clip method)
    2. Open each clip from the Prelude Project Panel and create your Subclip Markers using Prelude logging tools.
    3. In the Project Panel you will find new entries will appear for each SUBCLIP Marker you add to your master clips.
    4. You can organize you subclips into BINS as needed to keep track of the segments of your video
    5. When you're ready to create your timeline of subclips you can either
       5a. EXPORT all the SUBCLIPS into their own files (select all subclips you want to export and use the FILE->EXPORT->MEDIA menu command)
       or
       5b. Drag-Drop your subclips into a ROUGHCUT in Prelude to order your story. Then use the SEND TO PREMIERE PRO feature to send the Rough Cut into Premiere pro where you can finish your edit. All the media will come along for the ride into Premiere Pro (including your Subclips). You can then add titles and any effects easily enough in Premiere Pro).
    There are some other options here you can also try out which might be interesting. For example, you can add transitions and any additional audio tracks to your ROUGH CUT directly in Prelude and then EXPORT the Rough Cut as a final movie - and not need to move to Premiere Pro unless you have wider editing needs.
    Hope this helps!
    Regards,
    Michael

  • Create an advanced lightning effect and then export to transparent PNG sequence

    Hi,
    I am new to AE, so please be kind
    I need to generate a lightning effect and then export the frames to several PNG images.
    I figured out how to do the lightning and how to export transparent PNGs, but I can't get rid of the lightning solid background (which is balck in my case).
    Do you have any advice?

    Toggle the transparency grid in your comp to make sure that you are creating an alpha channel.
    When you render set to the output module to RGB + Alpha and Millions of Colors + and set Color to Straight.

  • Can FCE HD 3.5 Import HD-AVI with MJPEG file and then export?

    I am having some old 8mm film converted to HD-AVI: MJPEG in the wrapper. Will I be able to import this entire file (about 20 minutes of 1080 video) into FCE HD 3.5, make simple edits (mostly dissolves), add some background music and then export the file to a standard DVD at 640x480 and also to Blu-Ray (using Toast 9's ability to write BD files to regular or dual layer DVD disks with no loss of resolution?
    Is Motion JPEG within the HD-AVI wrapper part of HDV codec? I am clueless about the zillions of formats I see all over (but FCE HD 3.5 mentions only DV and HDV and Apple Intermediare codec 1080i60 or 720p60.

    Hi Tom,
    Does that mean I cannot import the HD-AVI wrapper and Motion JPEG file directly into FCE HD 3.5?
    The file is on a hard drive - not captured thru a FireWire Port.

  • Importing 16:9 into FCP and then exporting it

    I have currently got alot of 4:3 video files that i am editing for web use. The flash player that I have on my website is 16:9 widescreen.
    Do I have to convert the 4:3 before i import and edit? or can I edit in 4:3 and then export in 16:9 widescreen and which way will keep the best quality?
    Either way what settings should i have in FCP
    Many thanks in advance
    Nobby Clark

    If you use distort and scale it will wreak havoc with the quality.
    You are in Oz so you are working in PAL with 4:3 video clips that have pixel dimensions of 720x576, right? What are the dimensions of your Flash player's window?
    Edit the clips in a 4:3 FCP Timeline. Use a superimposed letterbox mask to help you reframe the image below it vertically. Take the result to Compressor, crop the mask off and generate your Flash files.
