I have purchased acrobat x1 standard and it tells me I need some other program..I have also downloaded the trial edition of Premier X1 but still cannot edit...they have taken $199 off me so I am not going to give them another $290...what can I do

Thank you for advice..it does not say what I need but I am new to this and have no idea.
Don't need to edit graphic, only text so will go back to word doc and then change to pdf.

I'm sorry for the confusion: Adobe PDF Pack allows you to create and combine PDF files, but not edit them. To do that, you need to use Acrobat. If you'd like, we can switch your PDF Pack subscription for an Acrobat Pro or Standard subscription.

How to convert editable pdf into non-editable version for printing option only without setting up passwards?

I am using IOS system with pdf preview functions. I try to convert editable pdf file into read only for others to print without access to edit the file.
The only way I can do now is to convert to jpeg for each page and convert back to pdf then combine all pages together. It takes a lot of time in this case.
Can anyone tell me how to do the conversion without setting up passwards for protection?

Anyway, you can insert the picture in to OneNote and then have OneNote convert it into text. This usually isn't very accurate for scans though.
A better solution would be to use a application which is dedicated to OCR. There are various out there. I suggest you try their demo versions to find out which works best with your handwriting.

How to create editable PDF template for XML Publisher reports

Hi,
I have got a requirement to have some editable fields in one report whose output is in PDF format.
I tried looking and saw this can be done using the XML Publisher report and using PDF template.
But I got only Adobe Acrobat Reader and it does not have the facility to create Form fields.. Can you let me know what software I need in order to create the editable PDF Template.
In the user guide, it didnot mention anything regarding this.
Can I create editable PDF report using RTF template or do i have to got for PDF template only?

can the PDF output from xml publisher is editable ?
If that is the question , so here is some points,
If you have Acrobat Writer or prof.edition, you can edit all the PDF documents irrespective of being from where it is generated.
To make you understand more of XMLP.
You create RTF template in word, so that , after merging with xml you can have multiple output formats like PDF, XLS, EFT,.....

If you're trying to reduce the file size of a PDF file, you'll need Adobe Acrobat. With either Acrobat Standard or Pro, you can choose File > Save as Other > Reduced Size PDF. Please define "editable"? Do you mean "fillable", so that a person can easily type in the blanks? That doesn't seem the right job for Photoshop.

You can use the Text Edit tool to delete things. You can also redact items. Do not expect reflow to work, Acrobat is not a true editor, but has simple editing tools for simple fix ups. I would suggest downloading HTML source and editing that -- seems like a much simpler process. If someone (like a boss) is insisting you use Acrobat and get a PDF, then I would suggest downloading the HTML, editing it, and then create a PDF from that edited version. Probably a lot faster, though you may have to learn some HTML. Many tools like the HTML editor in SeaMonkey and other editor tools (DreamWeaver is typically recommended) can be used.

I'm using the FormsCentral App (Acrobat XI) to create the PDF form and have distributed it as open. I can complete it on a PC using reader as required.
What I need to do is have the form on mobile phones with reader installed where they can be edited and returned.
I'm testing on a Windows phone but the main phones will be Android (eg Galaxy), the form opens on the phones but will not edit.
I'm probably missing something, please advise.

Adobe Reader on both iOS and Android devices can fill out and Submit the FormsCentral PDF forms. Your Android target audience should be OK.
For Windows Phone it does not work, as far as I understand Adobe Reader on Windows Phone does not yet support filling forms.
