How do I edit the name of a Bookmarks Toolbar folder?
I want to change the name of a folder in my Bookmarks Toolbar. I tried opening the 'show all bookmarks', then clicking Bookmarks Toolbar, and then clicking once on the present name with hopes it would allow me to edit it. But it didn't work.
You need to open the Bookmarks Toolbar folder in the left pane in the Library.<br />
Then you can select (highlight) that folder in the right pane and edit the name in the Details pane at the bottom of the right pane.

If that is the case then you can move (Cut & Paste) those bookmarks to the regular Bookmarks Toolbar folder.

How do you edit the names that come up when you compose a new message?
i open mail and hit 'new message'.
then i click in the 'To' row and start to type a name.
it autofills names for me as i type, but where does it get the names from? and how can i edit that list ?
- e.g. my wife has changed her e-mail address. i already changed it in my address book. but the old address still appears...?
i've tried scrolling down to it so it goes blue, then hitting the delete key (like on a pc). no joy.
any advice?!

In Mail Click on Window... Select and Click on Previous Recipients...
Click on and Delete the Names and Addresses you no longer want...

How can i sort the items in my bookmarks' toolbar with an A-Z sort order?
i would like to set the items in my bookmarks' tool bar in an a-z order.
when i click "views" and "sort," i select the sort order, and then go to the bookmarks tool bar, which is not sorted by a-z--it's a jumble of names without any order, a-z or name.Sorting via the Views menu in the Library only shows the bookmarks in the chosen sort order and doesn't change them permanently (hence the Views name of that menu).<br />
Clicking on the header does the same.<br />
If you want to sort bookmarks then you need to right-click a folder and use "Sort By Name" to sort that folder.<br />
You can't sort individual bookmarks, only folder can be sorted that way.<br /> -
How do I hide the favicons on my Bookmark Toolbar?
They weren't there in Firefox 3, but appeared when I installed Firefox 4. I like not having them there, so bookmarks are listed more condensely. I have a Mac with OS 10.6.

How do I create a larger on-screen bookmarks toolbar? I need a second row of icons.
I've edited the names on my bookmarks toolbar icons to provide room for more icons (22 in place), but still have around 18 key bookmarks 'stacked' in a pull down menu on the right side of the toolbar.
What I'd really like to do is add a 'second row' bookmarks toolbar under the existing one so that my most-used bookmarks show up as icons all the time, rather than be stuck with using a pull down menu.
I need my key bookmark icons available as visuals all the time.
I can't locate any command in Firefox that allows two (or more) rows of bookmarks toolbar to be available in the Firefox window. Could the bookmarks toolbar be changed to allow the user to grab the bottom edge and pull down to create a wider toolbar that shows all the icons?

When I navigate to my website, it doesnt work unless I actually type the filename at the end of it. Example: type in "www.whitelion.com" (this is my real domain name) and it doesnt work. When I type in "www.whitelion.com/index.html" then it works.
This is obviously inconvenient because my clients will never know to add the filename to the end of the site.
Is there any setting or way to get the page to appear by just typing the original domain name without adding the extension?

How do I edit the iTunesU collection name?
I have downloaded some training videos into iTunes and moved them into the iTunesU section.
iTunes then creates catagories called "collection" and I am trying to figure out how to edit the name to something I can use for reference purposes. Notice the two arrows....one is called "x" and the other is blank. Driving me nuts how to change this.
Anyone have any ideas how to do this?
JACKiTunes U items use the "Album" field as the collection name and the "Composer" field as the provider name. Select all the items you want to be in a particular collection and hit ⌘-I. Edit the "Album" field to be the name of the collection you want and hit OK.

That Info pane has a More/Less button to show or hide extra properties.

You can rename a tag by selecting the Tags folder in the left panel and change the name in the Info pane at the bottom right.

I have a custom template. When I edit it and try to save it asks me to name it and then I end up with an additional custom template. How do I edit the template and save the changes without creating another template?

If you don't need your old custom template, save your changes with the same template name. It will tell you that this template exists and will ask you Replace? Say yes (if you do want to replace the old with the new!)
To delete unwanted templates, go to Finder > Menu > Go and press the option key. Your Library will show in the Go Menu. Navigate to Library > Application Support > iWork > Numbers > Templates > My Templates.
Delete any unwanted template by dragging it to the Trash or click on it then command-delete.
Having gone to all that trouble to find My Templates folder, right click (or control click) on it and Make Alias. Drag the Alias to any convenient place for a quick way to get back to that folder.

How can I change the name of a shared folder/hard drive hooked up to my airport extreme?

I was curious if anybody here may know the answer to the problem I'm facing. It seems like such an easy task, but I just can't figure it out.
I have an airport extreme a1143 hooked up to my network directly to my router via Ethernet. I have a USB Ext. HD connected to AEBS. When I click on the Airport Extreme in "Shared" under Finder on my Mac, it pulls up a little folder with people on it (meaning it's shared). It is my Ext. HD, but it's called "NO NAME".
As silly as it sounds, like it to be called something other than, "NO NAME". Does anyone know how I can change this?

Temporarily, connect the drive directly to your Mac, and wait for it to mount on the desktop
Click slowly on the name of the drive, and you will be able to edit the name of the drive
Eject the drive and connect it back to the AirPort Extreme -
"From the Show dropdown menu, you can choose what to display in the toolbars: icons, text, or icons and text together. By default, Firefox shows icons only." Is there a way to choose an individual setting for a specific toolbar icon to be icon only (no text) without universally affecting all other icons on the toolbars?
Second, is there a way to edit the text on a specific toolbar button from an extension (because it occupies too much horizontal space on the toolbar due to the amount of text)? I do know how to locate the xpi file & open it with notepad, but then it's mainly code (not English) & FIND doesn't locate the button's text (to edit it).
These 2 questions should apply to Extension buttons in general. However IF it makes any difference I'm referring to the Toolbar Button in Back To Top 7.0 which says "Go to top/bottom". I'd at least like to edit out "Go to", but my questions apply to other Extension buttons too. I do realize it may be necessary to redo any fix/change each time there is an update? Sounds like you have more going on than just a simple issue with Home Sharing and more dealing with Wi-Fi syncing. Start with the article below and see if that may resolve it.

How do I get the names of tracks I type in Adobe Audition 3 to copy to the Sony CD-RW CRX217E in my Dell Precision Workstation 670?
I have recorded 10 tracks of voice with music using Adobe Audition 3 and Sony CD-RW CRX217E with no problem.
The problem is, however, that the names I type in Audition 3 for each of the tracks and artist do not copy to the CD I have recorded. This means that when I play the tracks on any playback equipment that shows the names of the tracks and artists, etc. all that appears on the screen is the track number, such as Track 1, Track 2, etc.
I am using a Dell Precision Workstation 670

NoProWell, there is one possibility, but I can't absolutely confirm this. I had a look at the specification for the drive on the Dell website:

and nowhere does it say that the drive supports CD-Text, I'm afraid. Even though all drives can in theory write this, a lot have the header hard-coded, and simply can't. Yours may be one of them, but I think you'll have to ask Dell to confirm this.
