How do I edit the synch list

Hi,
When I use the Creative MediaSource Organizer, and I choose to AudioSync from a folder on my computer to my Zen Micro, it only shows me the files that are going to be synched up and then I have to synch all the files. How can I manually remove some of the songs that are about to be synched? I thought I was able to do this at one time, but it doesn't seem to give me the option now.

Hey, there are a few ways to transfer your files from the computer. You can use media source to simply drag and drop your files to where you want. This would be easiest way to transfer the files you want. I dont think you can choose specific files doing audiosync. Alternativly you can click "import music to device" and choose the files you want, or simply select select the song you want and drag them into media source... If you need any help with that, just leave a message

This is an older set of directions for editing the genres included in iTunes. I don't know if it still works with newer versions, and make sure you back up your computer before doing editing of this kind because unpredictable things can happen.

The genre list is generated from what is in your library.
You can add genres to the list by editing a song and making up a genre for it. I have done this for my Irish music. After changing the genre in the song the list had the new entry.
If you have genres that are duplicates or look like duplicates,for example typos, you need to edit the files with those genres.
Easiest way to find files by genre is with the browser view turned on in iTunes.

How can I edit the compatibility list? (iecompatdata.xml)

Compatible header field sent by the proxy/load balancer. The admins are unable to change it, but it breaks the site. If I open the development tools, I can manually change the document mode to IE 10 and it works. I believe that if the site were included
in iecompatdata.xml with docMode="EmulateIE10" it would work right.
I can edit that file, but IE doesn't seem to recognize the changes. Is there any way to force it to keep my changes? Not being able to set a persistent override of my user experience is idiotic.
Edit: please note that I'm using IE 11 on Windows 8.1 x64

Understanding Document Compatibility
add the x-ua meta or header value IE=10 instead.. The MS Compatibility View list is automatically updated/over-written each time the browser is restarted if there is a connection available.
However the only reasons to force IE11 to use IE10 emulation would be because you are using depreciated non-standard DOM methods...

In my view for a SharePoint list, I see three columns for SamAccountName. This list is for listing staff as a directory, so there are phone numbers, names, emails addresses, division, department and such. The SamAccountName
column for some people has incorrect username or is blank. When I edit a record in the list, the SamAccountName column is not available to edit.
How can I edit the SamAccountName column from the list or be able to edit it?
I do have user profiles working and importing profiles from AD, but the list still shows empty or incorrect SamAccountName for some records.

If the user does not remember the encryption password there is no way to use the backup.
The password cannot be removed or reset.
Delete the backup, restore as new. Sync the desired content to the device.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox with a possible feed.snapdo.com infection.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
You should check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

in Pages, how do I edit the "My Card" data?
I can't get a sender field to select my Email address or mobile phone.
I've searched the Help file for "My Card" and come up with nothing.
I've looked in My Contacts and edited the data where my name has a little blue bust (figuring MAYBE that's the My Card),
but everything looks correct in there, so the sender field isn't pulling data from here.
So WHERE DO SENDER FIELDS COME FROM?

First of all, THANKS for the quick reply. However it’s not working, either from the Link Inspector, or directly from the Menu. Here’s the steps to reproduce the problem:
I start with a new blank document, then pull down the Insert menu / Sender Field / Name / First Name, all it does is insert the word “First Name” into the document.
Pull down the Insert menu / Sender Field / Phone / Home Phone, all it does is insert the words “Home Phone”.
Same with all the other fields.
In other words, Sender Fields are not pulling data from the Contacts list.
I have done as you suggested, even closing both the Pages program AND Contacts, then starting Contacts first before starting Pages, in the hope that the link between the two will be established when starting Pages. Still no good.
I got it to work once last night (which was a good sanity-check for me to know I was doing it right) after editing my contact data inside the Contacts program, but I can’t get it to work today. I’ve tried rebooting, restarting Contacts, starting contacts BOTH before and after starting Pages. But it still won’t go.
It’s hard to believe this program is an Apple product, seeing how unreliable it is.
Any other suggestions?

If you want to delete messages from the list - Tap the Edit button in the upper left corner of the messages app - above the Messages list. Then tap the red circle next to the messages that you want to delete.
But ....if you are asking how to remove the entire list from the screen so that you can use messages in a "full screen" type mode, there is no way to do that.

To reiterate, some reasons you may not be getting Albums group as you want:
Songs are not properly tagged in itunes prior to synching (you should also make sure Album Artist is tagged, BTW)
You are using the wrong view in the Music app

When I start keying in a name in the email, it comes up with the person's address, which shows it is synced. How do I engage the contact list from the email like I do on my old account (where a contact list icon shows up, along with the "attach" and other icons) ?

With the New Message window open, go to the View menu and select "Customize Toolbar...".
In the screen that opens, drag the item labelled "Address" into the Toolbar area of the New Message window, then click the "Done" button.
That item should be then added to the Toolbar for the New Message window.
Note that the main Mail window and the New Message window (as well as the separate message window if you open a message that way) use different toolbars - the settings/inclusions for one do not carry over to another.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can see what's in iCloud collectively at settings > iCloud > storage & back up > manage.... You can only edit the data through the appropriate app (contacts, calendars etc)
For problems with 3rd party apps, contact the developer.

Also, the first time I started the phone, I put my email address instead of my son's address, now when I try to set up iMessage, it asks for my password associated with my address and not my son's address.

Now the other item...iMessage still have my email address and I want my son's address. I have the iCloud registered with his address, I have not found where I can edit that.
