Ok I just recieved a new phone and I backed up my iphone this morning on my phone not my computer. When I came home to back up my phone from my icloud it will only upload the new one that i backed up instead of the old one i did that morning. That is my first problem. Now I need to know how I can edit the things in my icloud so i can delete space and take stuff out of it. Please help me I dont want to buy more space so how can I delete some things in my icloud?

I need some help, okay so, my iPhone has been acting up lately, I am no longer receiving iMessages, it says it cannot connect to iTunes and YouTube, and I no longer receive push notifications from any of my apps. i figured it is because i need to update the iOS5 for my phone, but I'm not sure. To update the iOS5, i need to backup my phone, which i can't do because my iCloud is full, i was wondering how do you delete things from the iCloud? I have already went through and deleted a great number of pictures from my phone and also apps that i was no longer using. I don't want to lose anything from my phone, but i'm not sure if my iCloud has everything backed-up? Also, could that be the reason to why my phone has been acting up? or could something else be wrong? PLEASE HELP!

General advice on "slimming" down your device's storage:
You'd have to go into the various apps on a device that is also stored on iCloud and begin trimming files.
Backups:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud. Turn off camera roll and any other apps that might have a lot of data. Then delete the backup. That will free up space. Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. Regarding emails, on the computer, move emails from mailboxes in icloud to those on the device. That can also save a lot of space.

You can see what's in iCloud collectively at settings > iCloud > storage & back up > manage.... You can only edit the data through the appropriate app (contacts, calendars etc)
For problems with 3rd party apps, contact the developer.
