How do I eliminate a .swf page?

I made a greeting card through InDesign and exported to a .swf file so it could be viewed interactively (turning pages with the mouse). Everything is fine except you see 2 pages on first instead of just one. If you think about how a real greeting card is, you have the front (one page), then you open it up (two pages). That's how I want it to look in it's .swf format but I don't know how to tell InDesign to only show the front side of the "card" without the other page. When I look at my pages panel in InDesign, I only see 3 pages (which is all I want).

That's EXACTLY what I want!! I've read you're explanation but still don't get it. When I look at my InDesign file through indesign, the first page is only showing ONE page. Also, I have another problem which is how to get the card viewed by my girlfriend (that's who the card is for)? I noticed the link you sent me and was wondering if that site is free. I had the file at 216% when I exported it to a .swf file but noticed how small it was on the server you sent me. Was that your doing or do I need to make it bigger than 216%?
BTW Petteri, I've updated the file and it's finished except for that pesky issue you've been so kind to fix. Think you can fix my final version?

Hi there,
I'm creating an interactive PDF presentation for a client, and I've spent some time learning how to animate the text for certain slides, export to SWF and place that SWF back in the InDesign file. I then export to an interactive PDF to display in full screen mode. The problem I'm having is that I can cycle forward through the PDF slides by clicking until I reach the SWF page, but then the hand cursor changes to an arrow and I can't move the presentation forward in full screen mode.
I'm sure there's an easy fix, I just can't work it out. I'd be really grateful for any help.

Bob: it will be a PDF presentation fed from a laptop to a large display screen with about 50 slides (1920px x 1080px) to support a speaker (person). Most of the slides are static text or image slides, but where we want images to fade in/out we've created an SWF and dropped it into that page in InDesign.

Jeffrey: I just tried your advice but the problem remains.
The strange thing is that if I press enter each time the slides (pages) move forward properly, but any touch on the mouse and the whole thing won't move... I'm going to look to see if I can drop in other video formats instead.

Select the text and delete.
If you don't want text in the box, don't use a text box ie in Shapes there are various shapes. Select one without 'T'.

The area around the photo will be the background color selected for the page. The only option is to change the background color of the page to one that would be acceptable (if its a full page layout).
Another option is to crop the photo to the same size ratio as the frame and not use the fit photo to frame feature. That's 4:3 for most frames and 1:1.29 for full page 8.5 x 11 book pages.

When you have the SAME parent API on every page of an (X)HTML website, can a .SWF tell itself to load from a default position when a website user navigates to different HTML pages?

HOW can you tell the .SWF to load from a default position once the .SWF has loaded a first time? AND from any page of the website, not just the Home page? This is an advanced .SWF networking issue. And I'm not sure if the best solution is a Javascript of if there's a direct AS3 programming solution.
The blurs and fade-ins are a bunch of timer variables and timer event methods timer event listeners. I want that intro ONLY ONCE. And NOT every time a user changes HTML pages. Please help, and MANY thanks for your time!!

You can set a variable say "count" on stage composition ready -
sym.setVariable("count" , 0);
On stage click , you keep checking the value of this variable -
if(sym.getVariable("count") == 5)
sym.$("Symbol_2").show();
//Here "Symbol_2" is the next button that you want to appear on screen(which is initially invisible) when the symbol_1 is clicked say 5 times.
Now, on click of a button , you keep updating the variable count -

sym.setVariable("count" , countnew);
