How do I eliminate individual emails and other specific items from iCloud?

I have an iPad4 and am using iCloud for backup. I do not wish to backup all of the emails I create, nor do I wish to backup all of the emails I receive. How can backup be done selectively for incoming and outgoing emails? Similarly, can other backed up items, e.g., notes and reminders be backed up selectively?

Your options for managing what is in the backup are listed in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap your device under Backups, then look under Backup Options.
Your email is not stored in the iCloud backup. It is stored in your account, but not in the backup. You can delete email that you no longer want in your account, either from icloud.com or from the mail app on your iPad. (Be sure to empty the trash after you do, or it will still be in your account.)

Hi All.
I'm a newbie to the iMac, having taken receipt yesterday and currently trying to set up email - can anyone help please?
I have a business email address attached to my domain name that I like to appear on all emails I send and be the default address sent to once reply is hit.
This was easily achieved in in MS Outlook on my old desktop where the email was sent through a TalkTalk account, but showed my business email address, but so far does not appear possible in Mail.
I understand there are issues between TalkTalk and Apple, so have alternate accounts with BTInternet and Gmail, but cannot achieve the desired result with those either. Despite surfing the net for the best part of the day looking for answers I'm no further forward, can anyone shed light on a solution please?

In order for the "From" field to show you options on the "from" addresses available, you must set them up in the Preferences > Accounts first.
I can't show you a screen shot of the from field because I currently only have one account, so the from address used is the default. However, when I had more than one, then options will show up in your compose/reply window.

You can use Adobe send outlook plugin to access your email contact list and send.

In addition to the last poster's suggestion - just so you know, it also depends on the email program the recipient uses as to how they will see any attachments - for instance, when I am using my Yahoo Mail, I am absolutely unable to view any attachment within the browser window - Yahoo forces me to download it; there is no way for me to check it (like a preview) to see if I want to download it or not.
And, FWIW: the window shown in the screenshot does not show on my version of Mail 5.1 (which is the latest for 10.7.2); the only one similar shows when viewing a message received with an attachment, not while sending one. So that must be a different version.

Understanding how BB manage HTML in emails and attacchments.

Hi all,
I'm trying to understand how BB manage HTML in emails and in attachments.
I created a simple HTML table with some color and no particular complications.
If I send this table as a HTML email on my BB it will be showed correctly, with all color and attribute shown.
If I package this html code into a file named try.html and than I send it as an email attachments on my BB I lost many attribute, including colors.
Can you explain me why and eventually how to solve this problem?

I too am somewhat annoyed by the manner in which messages are displayed using the standard e-mail inboxes. I recently started using the Gmail application for my personal e-mail and am very happy with how cleanly messages are displayed. I hope I can find a similar application to handle my other addresses, because it is very difficult to scroll through a large volume of mail that contains HTML and URLs every day.
If anyone knows of an application that more cleanly displays messages, please do tell. Otherwise, I'm going to be doing a bit of research this evening to see what I can find. I'll post back with my findings.

I need to check a few other things...
Click on 'Mail' in the upper left corner next to the Apple ()
Click Preferences
Click the 'Accounts' tab
Make sure your iCloud account is highlighted in the column on the left.
In the account information section what does it say next to:
Incoming Mail Server?
Outgoing Mail Server?
Also, did you use MobileMe before the iCloud?

Additionally, even if Mail supported it, the recipient would have to allow/consent to sending you the receipt - if I were the recipient, I would certainly not allow it. If you are sending legal or other very important files, use the "return receipt required" feature of US Mail - you will get a receipt that it was accepted with a signature.
