How do i email documents from idisk on ipad?

Just bought ipad 2, loaded PDF's for clients to view. Used IDISK because I thought that would be easiest.  Would prefer to drag/drop PDF's from Macbook Pro onto ipad but do not know how to do that now.   Often need to email one quickly.  Cannot find a way to do that.

iDisk is going away. However, fret not as what you REALLY want is DropBox -- and it's free for small amounts of data, and you can buy more, and MUCH more flexible. http://www.dropbox.com

If you just have a few that you want to view, you can e-mail them to yourself and use the viewer in the mail app to view them.
If you have several or want to save them on the iPad or edit them then you'll need an app. Apple has iPad versions of Pages, numbers and keynote that should sync between your mac and iPad.

  • How do I get documents from pc to ipad?

I have installed Pages on my iPad but don't know how to get documents from my PC to the Cloud.

Go into iTunes, while iPad is connected, select it under devices. On the apps tab, scroll down and you will see the documents box. You can then select Pages and browse/select your document and then sync to the iPad.

  • How do I save documents from iBooks on iPad to my iMac?

I am upgrading to iPad Air 2. Yeay! I am backing up everything on my old iPad (3rd generation), preparatory to erasing it to hand it on to a family member. There are documents I have saved into iBooks on my old iPad that are nowhere else, all categorised, and this represents a lot of work over several years. I have already lost a lot of these, when I updated the system recently. (Why is that?) I can easily save documents or other media to my iMac (27 inch, late 2013, Yosemite 10.10.2) from just about every other app, Apple and non-Apple, but not iBooks! What is that about? And how can I save the ones I still have? Do I have to email each one to myself? (The only solution I have thought of so far.)

You can manually add the files to your iTunes library...on Apple's support pages:
"To add PDFs to your iTunes library on your computer, drag and drop the PDF into your iTunes Book library. If you're using OS X Mavericks or later, drag and drop your PDFs into your iBooks library using iBooks for Mac."

  • How to sync email addresses from yahoo to ipad. ( I know- simple answer !!)

How do I sync my yahoo email addresses to my ipad? I am sure it is easy - I just need some help. Thanks

    Mac or Windoze PC?
With Windoze, the iPad supports syncing contacts direct with Outlook 2003 or 2007 along with syncing calendar events, or with the address book used by Outlook Express with XP or with the address book used by Windows Mail with Vista and 7 called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
With a Mac, this can be with the Address Book.
You should be able to export your Yahoo online contacts in a format that is compatible for import with an application on your computer that is compatible for syncing contacts direct via the iTunes sync process.
Under the Info tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes, what is available to select for syncing contacts?

  • How do I save documents from the new Pages into a Word Document

How do I save documents from the new Pages into a Word Document?

Thank you so much - so simple!  I had been using the 'share' option (worked in old Pages) and only had icloud or email as options.  I have to attach word documents to emails to send to work. I don't want to use icloud because it's too public and I don't trust it.  Also, you have to be able to access the internet and I need word documents on my USB stick for work where there's no internet.
I love my Mac but I do wish Apple would remember those of us living in less-than-perfect computer-land.
    Thanks again
    Lindsay

Good question - and one that a lot of (business) people would like solved!
Your question prompted me to do some research, and I found this workaround posted by Scott Grossberg:
His solution actually addresses a second problem too - how to attach a document when replying to an email message. In your case you may not need to consider the "reply" aspect - but if not right now, it'll come in useful someday!
I've pasted it verbatim - if it works for you (it does for me) then all credit goes to Scott for solving the problem. There's just one thing I'd add to his solution: you will probably want to rename the message, as by default Goodreader gives it the Subject line: Mail with GoodReader attachments.
    THE GOODREADER OPTION
    1.  CREATE the document you want to send.
    2.  SAVE it to GoodReader (this will require you to buy and install the app).
    3.  Go to your email and OPEN the email thread to which you want to Reply and attach your file.
    4.  COMPOSE your Reply.
    5.  DOUBLE TAP the message.
    6.  TAP SELECT ALL. This will copy the entire email thread.
    7.  OPEN GOODREADER on the iPad and go to the file you want to send as part of your Reply.
    8.  At the bottom of the GoodReader screen you will see an EXPORT icon (it looks like a rectangle with an arrow pointing to the right).
    9.  TAP the Export button.
    10.  TAP EMAIL FILE. Depending on your needs, tap either SEND FILE “AS IS” or “FLATTEN ANNOTATIONS.” This will open a compose message screen with the chosen document already attached.
    11.  TAP in the body of the email screen. TAP PASTE. This will place your composed Reply and the prior email thread into the message.
    12.  ENTER the Recipients’ names in the TO: field of your message.
    13.  SEND your email Reply.
The modified version (= when composing a new message rather than a reply):
1 Make sure that the doc you want to attach is saved in GoodReader
2 In the message you are composing, double tap, select all, and then copy.
3 Open GoodReader and select the file you want to attach
4 Select the export button at the bottom of screen
    5 Select e-mail file
6 Position cursor in body of the email message, tap and paste. You may want to delete the "sent from GoodReader" text that precedes the attachment.
7 Rename your message (as by default it will be Mail with GoodReader attachments)
8 Add the recipient's address in the To field.
Hope this helps! All thanks to Scott for this workaround.

  • How can I move documents from my iPad to the cloud?

I am trying to move documents into the cloud from my iPad. Every time I select the upload icon, only my photos show up. How do I find my documents?

    squirrels,
To save a single PDF document on iPad to Acrobat.com (i.e. one document at a time)
Open a PDF document in Adobe Reader for iOS.
Tap anywhere in the document to display the toolbar.
Tap this icon in the toolbar.
    Select "Save to Acrobat.com".
If prompted, sign in with your Adobe ID.
If you want to transfer a lot of PDF documents on your iPad to any cloud storage service, you can transfer them to your Windows/Mac desktop computer using iTunes first.

How do I save documents from my PC to iCloud

You can't.  iCloud doesn't support general file/document storage.  Try a different cloud service like Dropbox.

  • How to attach a document from cloudOn to my online application form or website

How to attach a document from cloudOn to an online application form or website?

You will need an app (web browser) capable of both storing a document and accessing the site's functionality sufficiently enough to upload a file. Safari can't do this (and I'm pretty certain CloudOn can't either). A couple of options:
iCab Mobile - store documents in the Downloads section and has settings to both change the BrowserID to a non mobile browser to unlock site functionality, and has a setting for uploading files from its storage rather then iOS in general. Its not free, but not very expensive and is a pretty could all around web browser in its own right. I've been using it for quite some time.
iUploader - has both free (trial) and paid versions. I've only experimented with it a bit, but works fairly well. Like iCab, has its own file container that you up load from.
In both cases you would need to transfer your files from the source app (CloudOn, in this case) to the file storage, and then access the website.

  • How do I save documents from iCloud into pages on my ipad?

HOw do I save documents from iCloud into pages using an ipad?

Where are you expecting to see "iCloud document?" Pages stores copies of your documents in iCloud but the documents appear in the Pages app. When you edit the document changes are automatically saved to iCloud. You do not go to iCloud to look for documents to open or copy.

  • How can I copy documents from a Sharepoint On Premises library to a Sharepoint Online library and at the same time preserving their metadata?

How can I copy documents from a Sharepoint On Premises library to a Sharepoint Online library and at the same time preserving their metadata?
I use the Open Explorer Windows to drag and drop the files, but the metadata are not copied. Thanks.

To maintain the metadata you'll need to use one of the third party tools that does this kind of migration.  Metalogix has a product with a free trial that we have used before.  (Don't remember whether the free version maintains metadata or not).
