How do I embed flash movie in MUSE?

I am trying to embed a Flash movie in a new page on my site. I want the Flash movie to open in a new page, full screen without header or footer. I have puploaded a page with the correct code (I think) . The page opens but remains blank. The swf movie file does not launch. The files work fine on my hard drive.

Jgrummel, I tried pasting in your code with the name of an audio file, but it did not work even when I published. My guess is that the file needs to ALREADY be on the server, but then I thought if that was the case, does the embed code have to have a folder reference? I am not a coder, so I am trying to figure out at random. Can you provide any step-by-step process for getting audio files to play in the background WITHOUT the player being seen or being loaded in another page? Is the only option to use a thrid party server, like youtube, BUT with that issue is that I get suck with player controls that I do not wnat and it does not loop.

  • How do I embed flash movie with detection

    Hi - I want to embed a movie below a banner image in a web
    page. I want to use flash detection so that the right player is
    used. I've got Flash professional 8 so it spits out an HTML page
    with the flash detection script written to it. In the body section
    of the HTML is a <script> tag with the document.write called
    if the detection is succesful. What I've tried to do is put my
    banner image in a div above the script tag. This seems to work in
    Firefox but gives me a tiny little stretched banner image and a
    tiny little stretched flash movie when I try the page in IE7.
    I've attached my HTML below. Why is this happening?

    I found the answer - I was using dynamic positioning of
    elements in a javacript file and was using
    document.documentElement.clientHeight to get the clientheight. IE7
    no longer recognises this and has started using the standards
    compliant document.body.clientHeight.

  • How to put a Flash movie on IWeb pages

    I am trying to find out how I can put flash movies on a website designed in IWeb. The .mov files are large and therefore load very slowly (and are also able to be downloaded by anyone with QT Pro I think).
    Does anyone know how to put flash videos (and what format they are supposed to be in - that SWV or FLV) on IWeb? I think I have to put a flash player on the page (or site, whatever) as well.
    Apple Care can't help me - and when I went for a One-on-One at the Apple Store it was a complete waste of time (I have to drive an hour just to get there).
    I have found a few programs on the internet that I can buy to convert my videos to Flash (without having to spend a fortune on Adobe Flash).
    Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Kim

    I know. Look here:

  • How to embed Flash Movie to on intro

    Hi friends,
    I want to embed a movie (flash/avi, etc) on the intro dialog of an application. can any one help me please.
    Hope to heare from u.
    Thankyou

    Advice:
    The Java Media Framework package only supports it up to Flash 2.0 - Simple workaround: do it as an animated gif.

  • How does one detect flash movie (embed object) focus?

    If I use javascript to shift focus to the embedded flash
    movie object, for example with the following line of code:
    document.getElementById("myMovie").focus();
    Is there any location within actionscript that I can add an
    event listener to detect this shift in focus to the flash movie? I
    have tried attaching a "focusIn" event handler to the application
    container, to the the stage, and the systemManager, but none of
    them appear to work.
    Essentially I need to know what object within the application
    is receiving focus when I make this javascript call.

  • Need code to embed Flash Movie in Web Page

    1 - We want to embed a Flash Movie into a regular web page
    and need the HTML code snippit sample on how to do it...
    2 - What is the difference in HTML coding for a Flash Movie
    and a regular SWF Flash File?
    3 - Is the Flash Movie file format designed just for video
    while swf is designed more for animation?
    Thanks for any help.

    Thanks for the help. Yes I uploaded all of the exported versions:
    MVI_1235-Desktop.m4v
    MVI_1235-iPhone-cell.3gp
    MVI_1235-iPhone.m4v
    MVI_1235-poster.jpg
    MVI_1235.mov
    All are residing in the folder with the reference movie and were not renamed. I noticed in the instructions there is a comment of including the <style> and <script> tags in the <head> of the page so that it validates as XHTML. I copied and pasted the <script> code, but I am not using any <style> tags. I wondered if that is contributing to the issue. Thanks again for the help.

  • Need some advice on how to make this Flash movie

    I have 5 flash movies which are all exported swf files from Camtasia. Now I have to design a Flash movie which has 5 Icons on a blank screen which point to each of these movies. When the user clicks on one movie the exported swf from Camtasia should play and when its finished it shoudl go back to Main Menu page.
    a) Is it possible to include a controllable progress bar for a SWF movie
    I am just looking for advice , like do this and do that. I shall try and write the code myself.
    cheers

    You may find the VideoPlayer class helpful:
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flash/9.0/ActionScriptLangRefV3/fl/video/VideoPlayer.html#includ eExamplesSummary
    There's some sample code there which shows you how to put a video player on a movie and play something.  You would just need to add some buttons and stuff.  That example is Actionscript 3.  Things will be different if you have an older version of Flash.

  • QST:: How do I embed flash into a hosting C++ app??

    hi there
    i want to write a windows app that embeds flash. the app will
    be written in c++ (visual c++), and there needs to be communication
    (two-way) between the c++ app and the flash movie. is this
    possible, and how do i do it? does it involve using
    ExternalInterface?
    tia
    //bhu----

    Depends on what the communication is to be. If all you want
    is Flash to get information and read it and send it back to the
    application, yes this is possible.
    However, if you want Flash to write to application on the
    server -- no it's not possible -- this is for security reasons.
    I would also ask why Visual C++. If you have to use MS why
    not ASPNET and C#, which would allow you to use Flash Remoting. I
    don't know much about Visual C++

  • How large can a flash movie be ?

    i am buiilding a larger interactive site than i have before,
    that contains a lot of images.
    i haven't posted it on the web yet, but in testing the movie
    it seems to freeze or go extremely slowly while "exporting flash
    movie "
    is there a limit to how much you can put in a flash movie,
    and what is it ?

    Probably the limit of what you can stand! There is a limit of
    16000 frames in the timeline, but that probably isn't what you are
    running into here.
    If you have lots of images and maybe some video, and your swf
    is maybe over 1Meg or even 500K then perhaps you are taking the
    wrong approach. You should probably look into having external
    assets that are cleverly preloaded just when they are needed.
    This will cut down on publish time, but will also produce a
    better experience for the end user and allow the flash player to
    better manage memory usage.
    Look into the MovieClipLoader class.

  • Embed Flash Movie Code not Working...[MySpace]

    OK...
    Attempting to stream a Flash movie on my myspace page.
    I've inserted myspace's (Neko's) code:
    [code]<embed src="
    http://www.myserver.com/somefilename.swf"
    width="420" height="315">
    </embed>[/code]
    & my own...as created in Dreamweaver for another of my
    sites:
    [code]<object
    classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0"

    ...which is very similar to what myspace creates for the user
    when Neko's code is inserted & submitted...
    ...but so far...not only do they
    not work...ALL of my regular tables disappear...they're
    gone.
    Any ideas as to why this is happening?
    Thanks,
    mark4man

    Figured this out...
    halfway, at least..
    It's the size; & buffer time (for some reason.) In the
    time it takes for my PC, at my connection speed (Verizon DSL,
    downloading @ 2850 kbps) to BUFFER the movie...it blanks everything
    out...everything...no tables, no default music player, no SnoCap
    store, no nothin'...for 8 minutes. Then, all is there...looking the
    way it was designed, including the movie.
    I need to figure out why this is happening (which shouldn't
    be happening.) Everything else should be there, up & in
    place...& the movie should just drop into the slot when the
    buffering is complete, correct?
    Thanks,

  • HT204387 How do I view flash movies

    I have a daily site that has flash movies.  How do I get the movies to play?

    The Flash browser add on is not available for iOS (never has been) and in fact Adobe has ceases support and development for flash for all mobile platforms:
    You might check to see if the site in question has an app in the app store.
    There are also some alternate browser apps that restream Flash content from a conversion server (Puffin, iSwifter are two. There are more, but I don't use on myself).
    A combination of apps such as iCab Mobile adn MoliPlayer may allow you to downdown laod the file, but it only works if the file is flv and even then depends on how it is embedded.

  • How to position a flash movie within a web page?

    Hi guys.
    I have a flash movie that is going to be loaded within
    another flash movie via an xml list.
    How can I set the position to load the inserted movie to the
    center of the page?
    At the moment it loads in the top left hand corner.

    Hi there.
    Thanks for replying.
    the website in question is www,ridethespiral.net and if you
    click on pilot map you will see the error.
    The main (Background) flash file is from a template site so I
    didn't write the code.
    But I think this is it.
    //Function used to load external SWF files and call the
    loader MC -------------------------------------------
    function loadMovieClip (externalTarget:String,
    targetRoot:MovieClip) {
    var mcLoader:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader ();
    var listenerLoad:Object = new Object ();
    listenerLoad.onLoadStart = function (target:MovieClip) {
    loader._visible = true;
    ZigoEngine.doTween (loader,'_alpha',100,0.5,"easeOutExpo");
    //Loading Progress
    listenerLoad.onLoadProgress = function (target:MovieClip,
    bytesLoaded:Number, bytesTotal:Number):Void {
    percent = Math.round (bytesLoaded / bytesTotal * 100);
    loader.percentTxt.text = percent + "%";
    //On Load Complete
    listenerLoad.onLoadComplete = function
    (target:MovieClip):Void {
    ZigoEngine.doTween
    (loader,'_alpha',0,0.5,"easeOutExpo",0,function () {
    loader._visible = false;
    ZigoEngine.doTween
    (content_container,'_alpha',100,0.5,"easeOutExpo",0,function () {
    content_blocker._visible = false;
    mcLoader.addListener (listenerLoad);
    mcLoader.loadClip (externalTarget,targetRoot);
