How do i emport excel documents to icloud iwork?

I am trying to import Excel spreadsheets into Icloud Iwork and have followed all insructions on the Apple web site and I am having no luck. Any suggestions. Must I buy numbers?

Navigate your Browser to www.icloud.com, then go to "iwork" . Now you can drag and drop iwork files from your Mac's folders to the keynote/numbers or pages subsections in the browser.
Files that are there already , uploaded from your idevices can be downloaded also. They will go into your Mac's "download" folder, in the Dock.
These files that you have "drag and dropped" to the icloud will then also be visible on your icloud enabled iDevices - within the mobile pages, numbers and keynote apps of course.
iwork09 v9.1 on OSX Lion has no iCloud capabilities, therfore this manual steps are necessary.

Here is some information on how to get a document from your iDevice to iCloud (which means you need to have the iOS version of Pages installed on your iPad or iPhone:

What do you mean by "documents"? Word or Pages files, spreadsheet files?
Also, on your device, in Settings>iCloud, you have to have an on/off setting for Docments&Data. If not what kinds of entries do you have on that screen?

I have no idea as I am not ever going to use a Cloud system for storing my personal files. I have computers for that. Your best bet would be to use Google and type in "Uploading files to Apple's iCloud system". I bet you will get all the info you could ever ask for.

Mountain Lion adds a few document types, and it's possible that others will be added as time goes on.

Could you explain why OfficeControl cannot display Excel document with content type =text/htm?
How you know, control must be bound to binary data. And then mime type is set as

The empty document is displayed always.
Nevertheless, excel file is displayed perfect, when
bin.setMimeType(new WebResourceType("xls ", "application/msexcel", false));

The OfficeControl UI element is made available as an ActiveX control, so that the UI element can be displayed in browsers that support ActiveX controls.
The ActiveX control enables display of the following documents:
1.Microsoft Word documents with the doc file extension
2.Microsoft Excel documents with the xls file extension
This is the reason why document with other content types are not displayed.
Data source must be bound to binary data because files are read as bytes in this scenario.

Hi,
I had the same issue and I found that Oracle Workflow does not attach files. The solution is to create a table with blob, clob, ordsys, etc data types and reference to the file from a notification and a message.
I did an interface with java to read the document, and then put the link in the oracle workflow message. The link opened the file.
So, for any workflow development is recomended to use your own Entity-Relation Model, including the process number and the files attached to that process.

How to upload a Excel document in background mode

Hello there, how are you?
I am doing an interface program that needs to upload an excel document into an internal table, to do this I used the FM ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE. The problem with this FM is that only works in foregroung mode, If I run the programin bcakground the FM does not work.
I would like to know if exist a way to upload an excel document into an internal table, for a program that have to be execute in background mode.

If you mean iWoek documents:
To be able to use documents at iCloud.com, you need at least one iOS device that uses the same account with at least one of the iWork apps installed.
If you mean other documents:
Unfortunately, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage. (not all these alternatives offer all the services previously provided by iDisk)
