How do I enable "create multi-cam source sequence" option?

I am trying to create a multi-cam sequence of an interview. I have one audio file (.wav) and two different camera angles (.mov's). I highlight all three and right click, but the "Create Multi-Cam Source Sequence" option is disabled. I tried going to Clip in the menu as well. No luck. How do I enable this so I can create a multi-cam sequence?

If you are in Premiere version CS6, unselect the audio and sync your video with in or out points, timecode or clip marker. I am assuming you are prior version CC as I believe audio disables 'creating multicam source sequence'. Versions CC and beyond have the ability to sync with audio, so not sure as to why your option is greyed out.

Hello there; it seems in my CS6 i dont the complete box as the below:-
i only have in points, Out points and Time codes ( I dont have the Audio and the remain box) as the above.
Is anyone able to en-light me? as i have to do Multicam project as as possible
    Regards & Thanks

that seems to be exclusive to the CC version. so you would either have to upgrade or find a work around.  you can manually sync the footage using markers or in points, or if doing this alot and you dont want to upgrade might look at pluraleyes.

  • 'create multi-camera source sequence' crashes premiere pro

    Hi,
I use 'create multi-camera source sequence' to sync up 2nd system audio with DSLR footage.
If i select more than say 10 clips to sync with an audio file it will crash premiere pro CC 2014 50% of the time.
Does anyone else find this? is it naturally unstable?

  • Synchronize from audio option not available in 'Create mutli-camera source sequence' command?

I watched Jason Levine demonstrate the 'create multi-camera source sequence' feature that allowed you to sync multi-camera clips automatically by clicking on an 'audio' option:(http://tv.adobe.com/watch/creative-cloud-for-video/dslr-editing-workflow-in-adobe-premiere -pro-cc-part-3-multicamera-dslr-workflow-with-automatic-audio-sync/)
I loaded in three clips from three different cameras of the same shoot, and when I follow those instructions and select the above command, it doesn't present the dialogue to select the synchronize from audio feature:
Am I doing something wrong? All three clips have audio...can't figure out why this feature isn't working for me??Is this not available in the Premiere Pro version we have available for download? I'm just in the process of upgrading to 6.02 now to see if thats the case...

This will only be available in Premiere Pro CC due out June 17th.

  • Multi-Camera Source Sequence Audio from 1 Speaker instead of both??? HELP PLEASE!!!

So I have been at this for awhile now. Am I missing something?
I simply take my 2 .MOV's and 1 .WAV and I create a mulit-camera source sequence. Except when I play it from my time line and it appears in my program pane it only plays the .WAV from one speaker...
If I break it apart and load the .wav from the timeline into the source pane using keyboard shortcut "F" then it plays through both speakers..?
Attached is a screen shot of the broken down Mulit-Camera Source Sequence by clip.
    Please help me, thank you!

I just tried that, although it still plays out one speaker when I play it in the timeline, either out or in the nest.  It appears that the timeline has an audio setting that is off perhaps? Or a bug? I have attached many images to check out... Thank you advance!

  • CS6 Premier Pro - Create Multi-Camera Source greyed out

    CS6 on Mac OSX 10.9
I have been following the Adobe tutorial about how to do Multi-Camera editing. Following all the steps. Somehow what my Premiere offers me is not the same the guy does in the tutorial:
    1) Put all the video & audio files in a bin in the Project tab. Tutorial says: right click the bin and you get contextual menu that offers "Create Multi-Camera Source". Nope - not getting that.
    2) Selecting ALL files in that bin gives me the "Create Multi-Camera Source" option; but only if there isn't .wav or aif audio file in the list. The tutorial implies that audio files DO work.
    3) When I finally found the set of video files that gave me the "Create Multi-Camera Source" option I got a dialog that was considerably smaller than the one in the tutorial. While the tutorial shows options for Timecode syncing and syncing via audio I only see Synchronize Point. To synchronize using audio would have been most useful.
It must be something I am doing wrong or something incorrect with my source files (mp4 at the same format and audio). But what?
    Thanks
    Peter

  • Delayed playback after editing audio in a Multi-cam Source Sequence

I have a Multi-cam Source Sequence (MSS).  It contains 3-cameras, only two of their audio tracks, plus two more audio tracks from separate audio recorders.  This MSS is, of course, embedded into my main timeline, where I've performed my cuts between cameras.  Playback has been beautiful and smooth until I mixed the audio levels between the various audio tracks in the MSS.  Now, back on my main program timeline, playback starts approximately 3 to 4 seconds after hitting the spacebar or L key.
Some mixing was performed on the new Audio Clip Mixer.  Most mixing was done manually by adding and manipulating keyframes directly on the timeline.  I have Minimum Time Interval Thinning set to 400 ms, so that I don't get a million useless keyframes on my audio tracks when using either Audio Mixer.  For what it's worth, here's a screenshot of a portion of my MSS mix (approximately 1 minute, 30 seconds).  It is typical of the rest of the MSS timeline (approximately 40 minutes; though I've only mixed the audio for a roughly 10 minute segment so far).
Footage is from two Canon VIXIA HF G20 (AVCHD) cameras and a GoPro (MP4).  Again, playback was beautiful before messing with the audio mix in the MSS.  I've checked the Media Cache, Disk Cache, etc and it's got plenty of space left (around 30 GB).
Playback literally feels like it's 1998 all over again and I'm working in Premiere 5.1!
Could these, relatively few, audio keyframes really be slowing me down so dramatically?  If so, can I do something to make it run faster?  If this is not the cause, what else might I be missing?
    === System Specs ===

    NVIDIA GTX 670mx - 3GB GDDR5
    16GB RAM

My multicam sequences are usually created by Red Giant's PluralEyes.  (I would LOVE to create them with Premiere's new Audio Sync feature, but so far that only works about 0% of the time).  So the footage is synced with PluralEyes 3.2.1.  A timeline is exported from PluralEyes and then imported into a project.  Once in Premiere the sequence is only a "regular" sequence.  I know of no way to convert a regular sequence to a new sequence (that would be a cool feature; right-click on a regular sequence and choose "Convert to Multicam Source Sequence").  I create a new Multicam Source Sequence (MSS) using any two video clips.  I choose In-point for the sync.  The MSS is created and opened.  I select all on the timeline and delete.  I now have a blank MSS.  I select all from the PluralEyes generated "regular" sequence; copy; paste into the blank MSS.  Now my MSS is ready to use.
Are you saying that audio is ALWAYS "Adaptive" when created as I've outlined above?  How can it be changed?  What should it be?
If I remember correctly, Premiere CC has been setting up these Multicam Source Sequences with four channels, instead of stereo.  I thought it was weird (I don't recall this happening in CS6).  So I looked into the manual and hacked my way around to reducing the channels to stereo.  Through track assignment, etc (I can't remember where) I was able to get all but one of the tracks to playback.  Ultimately that track was unimportant, so I ended up deleting it rather than continuing to fight Premiere to make the track playback audibly.
I'll look into the link you provided above.  Meanwhile, did anything I say here spark any further ideas?  Things to try?

  • Multi-camera Source sequence problems

I'm an absolute beginner and have made a mistake not including all the videos used in a job at the beginning of the ’Create Multi-Camers Source Sequence’ proces. I manually pulled some videos to the sequence after having opened the incomplete sequence in the timeline. I now cannot make an multi camera cutting process. Is there a way that I can include the new extra videos so Premier knows 'that it is there' and can be included in multi camera cutting. I hope my question is understandable and would lige a hint - so I do not loose two days of nudging clips i a one hour 15 minutes long film.

  • Speedgrade & Multi-Camera Source Sequences

    Hi Everyone,
I just finished cutting an instrcutional video in Pr CS6. It was shot with 3 cameras and I have used the Multic-Camera Source function in PrCS6. It's been great, really handy. Now that I have sent the project to Speedgrade CS6, Sg is unable to open those clips that are in Multi-Camera Source Sequences in Pr. This kind of makes sense since Pr isn't directly referencing that specific clip, but pulling a section from the multi-camera clips. I'm afraid to ask, but is there a way to avoid this problem? The .mov and .mts files open in Sg but those that are in a Multi-Camera Source Seequences do not open.
Thank you so much for you time and knowledge.

  • Multi-cam Source Sequence

Recently I have been trying to master the multicam sequences using the audio sync system. I am frankly disappointed in the results that I have been getting. It seems that unless the 2 cameras are started very close (< 1/2 sec) to the same moment that the system is ineffective.
    Setup:
Record using 2 identical Panasonic HMC 150p onto SDHC chips set at PH 720/30p.
Sequences are 1280 x 720 square pixels as set auto matching the clips.
The audio is generated using Sennheiser wireless systems to a mixer and feed the same output to both cameras. We copy the clips from SD cards to our hard drive, and have all clips and titles on a second hard drive. We are running PPCC on a HP with an Intel p7 cpu with 8 GB of ram.
Last week our 2 cameras were started 7 seconds apart and PPCC could not synchronize those 2 clips. I could accept that, but today It could not synchronize 2 clips that were off by 15 frames. That seems to me to indicate that either I or the system is doing something wrong. I adjusted the offset by inserting a 15 frame delay in one clip using the source monitor and setting a new start point. Then the camera switching aspect of multicam system worked.
I put the 2 clips, each about 10 minutes long, into one folder. Select the folder & hit clips>Create multicam source sequence. I viewed the synchronization by rt. clicking the generated sequence and then Open on Timeline. When I want to use the generated source sequence I drag the squence to the new item which will create a new sequence that can be edited.
Is this all I should expect from the proram, or am I doing something wrong?

It seems like I have finally broken the code on getting the Multi-cam audio synch to work consistantly!
All of our 2 camera shoots have starting points that are not the same on the two clips.
I have tried using having the 2 clips in a folder and then selecting the folder and using the Clips>Create Multi...
That process worked some of the time, also selecting individual clips and then using the Clips>Create Multi... worked sometimes.
To get to the bottom line, PP in using the Create Multi-Cam.... is controled by the order in which clips are selected.
Apparently if a folder is selected then the selection is alphabetic which is proper sometimes. I have found that
THE FIRST CLIP SELECTED MUST BE THE ONE WHICH STARTS EARLIEST!
Nowhere in my review of all the info on the use of the Multi-Cam... did I find any reference to that factor. That has certainly been a source of much frustration.
Once the proper order of selection is made then the system works nicely as expected.

  • Multi-Camera Source Sequence-No Audio Option

    Hello,
I'm trying to sync two Gopro video files shot on two different cameras. Audio syncs up fine as a I have a nice clap. However, when I go to create the sequence I'm not presented with the option to use Audio to sync up. I get this box only.
    Thoughts?

    Hi JQUINN,
That feature is available in Premiere Pro CC. My guess is that you are still running CS6, or earlier.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Issues with creating multi camera sequences

I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 and I’ve just started experimenting with multi camera sequences and have two problems, one I can work around, the other I can’t.
First, if I take a series of video clips, add a marker to each clip to identify the sync point, name the marker, and subsequently create a multi camera source sequence, the option to use the marker as the sync point is disabled.  If I leave the markers blank and don’t name them, it works.  Is this a bug or intended behaviour of the application?
Second, and more problematic for me; if I create a multi camera source sequence using two or more video clips, all of which have a stereo soundtrack except for one clip, and that single clip has a 5.1 soundtrack, I cannot seem to force the sequence to use the audio from only one of the clips with a stereo soundtrack.  Basically I want the audio to always originate from the first clip (camera 1) during the clip selection process.  I’ve selected the clips in the right order and ensured all other settings are correct, but the 5.1 clip always take precedence.
If all the video clips contain the same format of audio (in my case all stereo or all 5.1), I can select which clip becomes the default no problem, it’s only when a 5.1 clip is included in the source clips when all the others are stereo.  Is there a way to select the 5.1 clip and make it the (camera 1) audio source?
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

I'm guessing the marker thing is by design.
For the audio, once the sequence is created, just Mute all the stereo tracks.

If you personalize a non-configurable page (a page that does not have the necessary metadata to personalize its layout) or when you run your application in Accessibility mode (profile option Self Service Accessibility Features (ICX_ACCESSIBILITY_FEATURES) is set to Standard Accessibility), you will not see the Page Layout Personalization page, as shown below. Instead, you will see the Page Hierarchy Personalization page, page 4-12, where you can perform the same personalization functions, using a descriptive tabular user interface.
It tried this and can’t get it to display.
Has anyone run accross this before?

    user587952,
Can you describe your issue in detail forgetting those references for the time being. What exactly are you trying to do?
Check this from the dev guide:
In order to be able to take full advantage of page layout personalization capabilities, it is important when you create your configurable page, to use flexibleLayout and flexibleContent regions at all levels when you create the page hierarchy structure under your page layout region. In Oracle Applications, this is required, as it is the coding standard.
