How do I enable some scripts to run in some programs/websites and what happened to the status bar of my Mozilla Firefox 4?

Well, first of all, I was tying to create a web-based computer game in Notepad in H.T.M.L., C++, and JavaScript codes. But when I tried to open the completed product, Firefox only came up with a blank page. What do I do with this? And also, I unwittingly removed the "Status Bar" on the bottom side of my browser(the one that always says "Transferring data from/to..."), and when I tried to bring it back up, I couldn't because I don't know how, since I'm new to Mozilla Firefox 4. If you could help me with these problems, Then I would greatly appreciate it.

You can install the Status-4-Evar extension to regain some functionality from previous Firefox versions that was lost with the removal of the Status bar.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" after you have installed the Status-4-Evar extension and drag the items (Status Text, Progress Meter, Download Status) upon the Add-ons Bar (View > Toolbars > [X] Add-on Bar)<br />

Once something similar happened to me. The external drives I had set up for FCP to use for some reason were not mounted, and FCP put all its render files on the main drive and I couldn't find them anywhere.
Go to applications, and control-click (and hold down) on your FCP icon; you should get a pop up menu that says "show package contents". Select that, select the "contents" folder, then the "mac OS" folder. See if your quicktime file is in there, or if you've got render files in the "render" folder or audio render files in the "audio render" folder that don't belong there.
That's where FCP sticks stuff when your documents FCP project folders are not available or when external drives you've selected aren't available.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Firefox won't download. The Run menu doesn't start and nothing happens on the click here to download. I suspect Internet Explorer (which I hate) is the problem.

Can't get Firefox to download. When I click on the download it takes me to the second page but the download doesn't begin. When I select the click here link, nothing happens, it stays on the same page.

I can't log on to Citibank to pay my bills using Firefox or Safari for that matter. Citibank says cookies must be enabled to access their on-line bank. Yes, I found the cookies, and thanks for taking the time to help out. I called Citibank. They told me that they will not support Firefox or Safari for Mac because our user group is too small for them and the expense too high. The person that I spoke to said in the past, Firefox has worked with Citi, but that was just by accident. At the moment they have no plans to help Mac people using the latest OS log onto their website or enable programs like my Quicken or Mint.com to access. They don't work anymore either. I think all the problems happened after the last OS update.

How do I get Javascript to work? It is enabled in options but nothing happens when I select something that begins "javascript" on the status bar at the bottom of screen.

When I tried to download a file from the Canon U.S.A, I clicked on the "I agree - begin download" button and nothing happened. The information in the status bar at bottom of screen, when the mouse cursor is over the download button is "javascript:downloadFile()". I got following from the error console -

This sort of thing seems to happens whenever whenever javascript is involved.

I checked out the "Unable to download or save files" section. The only thing that seemed applicable was the "Reset download actions" section. I renamed the mimeTypes.rdf file to mimeTypes.rdf.old but it didn't seem to have any effect on downloading the file I wanted. There was still no response when I asked for the download.
I have noticed another problem that occurs when I try to download this file. I exit Firefox, then try to restart it. But nothing happens. I have discovered that in the Task Manager that the Firefox process is still running. When I end the Firefox process in the Task Manager, I am then able to restart Firefox.
By the way, I am able to download the file using Internet Explorer without difficulty.

On certain web sites the page opens then over runs to a blank screen with the same address and stopped showing on the status line

When trying to access certain web pages the browser finds and loads the page then 'over rides' to a blank screen. The page address doesn't seem to change but the tab shows continued 'loading' The status bar at the bottom shows either 'stopped' or 'done'. return re-loads the page then over runs again. Reload does nothing. Usually its a hyperlink from one page to another. It seems random.
Recently it has started to over run into a 'search' type page ie. local yellow pages, local cable company, heavy equipment sales, and things like that.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. Pages that are shown in the status bar are docked to the right instead of the left..how can I make them go back to the left again?

A couple weeks ago my computer did an automatic update to a newer version of Firefox (it is now 3.6.8). Since this update, every time I open a window, it is docked to the right side of the status bar, when it used to be on the lleft side of the status bar. Also, several windows opened do not all show-instead only one window is shown and it will say how ever many windows I have opened (such as "3 firefox windows" instead of just showing those 3 different windows when it was docked to the left side). I have looked through the help section but cannot find an answer to this. I have looked through the "tools", then "options" section and compared my computer to another computer running the same firefox that has the windows opened docked to the left, and they both have the same exact settings, so it doesn't appear to be an issue with my "options" in firefox. Any help would be appreciated.

I have an Intel iMac running OSX 10.6.8. I would like to use Final Cut Pro 10.1. I know I need OSX 10.9 for this. Can I run both 10.6.8 and 10.9 on the iMac ? I do not want to convert completely to 10.9 because of my existing software. Thanks for any help

It would depend on how old your IMac is, how mush memory you have, it it can be upgraded by OWC, etc. I have a 2006 Macbook Pro and would NOT put Mavericks on it or espeacially FCP 10.1.1 on it because the most memory it can have is 4 GB. You need at least 8 GB to work with Final Cut Pro 10.1.1. IMHO.
I would try to find a copy of Final Cut Express perhaps.

Whenever the tabular report doesnt show any records for the given input parameter (parameter passed using select list item).
We are displaying error message in APex. But at the status bar, it is showing "Error" (unspecified
error).

Hi Vijay,
Your javascript is probably trying to access one or more of the items within a displayed tabular form - the "f01", "f02" etc named items.
If your script does something like:
var x = document.getElementsByName("f01");
..rest of your code for f01 items..you can test if there are any "f01" items by doing:
var x = document.getElementsByName("f01");
if (x){
..rest of your code for f01 items..
}If there are no items, x is null, so the "..rest of your.." script will not get executed and no errors will occur.

I`m trying to make UINavigationBar transparent too like Photo App and trying it but get nothing:

What happened to the iTunes movie libarary in OS X 10.8 and what happened to some of my movies during upgrade to 10.8?

Does anyone know what happened to the movies that were in itunes in OS X 10.5 when I upgraded to 10.8 itunes no longer has a movie page. Some of my movies I purchased from itunes are now gone too. I see the itunes movie library when I look using my finder window.

I couldn't agree more! I have used many printers at work and assigned many as well. I typically use laser printers for the obvious reasons. I purchased the epson WF-3540 for the H.R. dept due to certain demands (needed fax mach, needed auto duplex print and scan capabilities, needed e-print, needed to print on envelopes and needed to print in color) Speed was a factor as was ink usage and cost. This printer claimed to meet all those needs while using little ink. I was shocked at how fast this thing was.It scans like a dream. Needless to say this is basically the only printer I purchase now and everyone I got it for LOVES it. Great job Epson

Make sure your Junk Mail settings are properly set up, right now neither of those messages are marked as Junk Mail. When Mail identifies an item as Junk Mail or you manually do, it will add the text "Mail thinks this message is Junk Mail" or "You marked this message as Junk Mail" to the message. Right now this just looks like regular SPAM that you might get that hasn't been properly identified as Junk Mail or when Junk Mail Filtering is no enabled. Remember Mail needs to learn what is and is not Junk Mail over time, so if you have recently reset your mail settings through a reinstall or the like, it may still be learning.
1. Do you have a Junk folder (system created) as one of your mailboxes? If there is none, it means that Junk Mail filtering is not enabled or has been enabled but the system has yet to identify any mail as Junk.
2. If you do have a Junk folder, try dragging a piece of mail into the folder to see if the banner I am referring to appears. It should. You should be able to unmark the mail and drag it it back in your inbox.
3. If you manually mark the mail as Junk, does it move into the Junk folder and have the banner I am referring to? It should.
4. If any of the above is not happening, first check your mail settings using the guides below:
Mail (Yosemite): Reduce junk mail in your inbox
Mail (Yosemite): If junk mail filters aren’t working correctly
If all seems correct and it's still not working right, try rebuilding your mailbox:
Mail (Yosemite): Rebuild mailboxes
If none of these help you, please post back and we'll try something else. Oh, and clear out your Previous Recipients window of any unwanted email addresses. Anything listed in there is usually ignored by the Junk Mail filters.
