How do I enable the button to use the tree list in excel? (Enable the list type: Tree enabled in Office 2013 - VSTF 2013)
Hi, I was looking to see if anyone knows how I can troubleshoot my connection problem with TFS view in excel. I'm trying to produce a tree view in Office 2013 as described in the following KB -

I have followed the instructions on the KB all the way up to : 'Add backlog items and tasks and their parent-child links using a tree list' and at this point I can't seem to get it to work as the button is greyed out.
Note that I have completed steps 1-6 for the previous procedure... all 6 steps work just fine. However on step 2 of the second procedure - the instructions state I should be able to 'Add Tree Level' - However the button is greyed out.
Anyone know what I need to do to enable the button to use the tree list in excel?

I believe your issue is that you have opened a Flat query and are trying to add tree levels. A flat query is just that and you cannot change the query type from Excel.
The second process is managing a backlog (which is a tree). TFS web access has a link on the backlog view to create a query. That query will be a "tree of work items" query that returns the items in the backlog including their parent-child relationships.
This type of query supports the Add Tree Level and Add Child functionality as does a new Input List (not bound to an existing query).

I have used still photos to make a Quick Time movie using FCE. The DVD made using i-DVD looks somewhat grainy and the motion isn’t smooth when played on my TV. Other DVD’s I have made play much better and I am wondering if the problem is my Quick Time movie settings. The Dimensions and size of the problem movie are 1920X1080 and 584 MB respectively, while the movies that play better have Dimensions of 853X480 and are about 1.3 GB in size. Is this the source of my problem and how do I change things for the better.
Are you exporting to QuickTime Movie, or to QuickTime Conversion? For iDVD, you need to export to QuickTime Movie. Exporting to QT Conversion will kill the quality if you are moving the video from FCE to iDVD.
The file size per se makes no difference.
What size (pixel dimensions) are the photos that you put into your 1920x1080 sequence? Also, exactly what are the sequence properties ... is it 1920x1080i60 ... or i50? In North America it should be i60.
853X480 is an odd frame size. Where are you seeing this number? It would appear to be DV-NTSC, which has a frame size of 720x480. Your 1920x1080 frame size would not be DV-NTSC, it would be Apple Intermediate Codec. DV and AIC will look different, for sure.
Also, your quality setting in iDVD can affect the final video. You may want to check that also (in iDVD Preferences > Projects). Set it to Professional Quality if at all possible. -

I am using a macbook pro with system 10.6.8. I just discovered that no recent files have been backed up to the external disk using Time Capsule. There is a long list of backups including most recent but no recent files, for some weeks, have been backed up. I did a full reset of Time Machine. I disconnected the external drive and reconnected it. It is not a matter of file types, no files and no folders have gotten backed up. Everything looks normal though unless one goes hunting for recent files on the back up.

It's a straightforward port-forwarding issue.
You need to forward ports to the internal ip address of your apple tv as follows:

The folder would be at the root of your hard drive. Double-click Macintosh HD and look there.

I have deleted all emails from my ICloud email account but my manage storage still shows that the mail is using 9.7GB. Why isn't the number decreasing if all emails have been deleted?
It might be caused by storage "buffering". If so, the space will adjust automatically when another iCloud feature uses the space previously allocated to your deleted email. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4873.

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID. -
How to add a mute button without using the default skin?
I want to use a mute/unmute button for my current project which does not use the default skin. I searched the web and found the following solution.

I followed the instruction and it works fine on single slide. The problem is that it does not carry through the whole project. If I mute the first slide, the audio is on again on the next slide. My mute/unmute setting doesn't go to the next slide.

Addtionally, your post reads as if you feel the mute button is only avaliable with the Default playback control set. Note that there are all sorts of options with the supplied playback controls that offer enabling a mute button.

How do you download a static file using a FileReference and URLRequest and show the progress?
All,
I'm trying to download static content (PDFs) off of my server using tutorials from adobe's site and some online as well and i'm having no luck showing an updated progress bar. I attached the meat of my code below. If a user clicks a hyperlink, it calls the downloadPDF method passing in a constant url defined.
When debugging, i can see that the event.bytesLoaded is incrementing on each call to the progress method, however the bytesTotal is only set to the intitial number of bytes transferred on the first pass through the method. (Ex: First time the method is called, bytesLoaded and bytesTotal will be 4,000... which i dont understand... the bytesTotal should be the total size of the file being downloaded.. definitely not the case... the next time the method is called, bytesLoaded will increases to some number while bytesTotal will remain at 4,000). This happens during the entire file transfer.
Am i missing something? Are the examples incorrect? Also to note, i'm using sdk 3.2 (Not sure if that makes a difference.)

</mx:Script>The tick counter has a resolution of 1 ms. Resolution, accuracy, and the responsiveness of the OS are three different things. The issue is that OS latency can be 10s of milliseconds or occasionally longer. If the OS decides to index the hard drive between the time you read the tick count and send the start audio command, your tone could be quite late. Sending the TTL pulse is a third call to the OS. So you have two latency times for each trial. Unless you have a real-time operating system, this latency issue will introduce randomness into your data.
Try sending TTL pulses of 50 ms duration every 200 ms, software timed, for a few minutes and look at the variation in the edge timing. Then try it again with tones thrown into the mix and see if the variation changes.
That is where hardware timing and synchronization pays off.

QA32 spreadsheet needs to unmark the button "always use selected format"

I am currently doing some testings in QA32, i want to transfer my list in printable documents, when i am in the menu LIST- EXPORT - SPREADSHEET , then the list for choices appears if(excel, all available formats)then there is this button box "always use selected format" which i have marked it and saves..then when after i proceed to QA32 again, i can't choose the format that i want in the selection.I believe it is the result of marking the button "always selected use format"
how can i unmarked the button "always selected use format" so i can have the chance to choose again?

You can export the list as various spreadsheet formats. The following list summarizes the most important of these formats and the corresponding file name extension for the files:

A format is only included in the selection options if it is available on your PC. The system administrator can also restrict the list of possible formats or even reduce the export to a certain format.
When you export the list in one of these formats, the system automatically generates a file with the name export and with the corresponding file name extension. Exactly which parts of the list are exported to the file depends on the format.
Exactly which data is exported to the file depends on the format:
● In MHTML and XML formats, for example, you export the data that is displayed in the list on the screen. The number, selection, and sequence of columns as well as the sorting, filter, and calculation settings are all included in the export.
● In Excel XXL format, any functions that you executed on the list are not included in the export. The file contains all the columns that you have displayed, but your sorting, filter, and calculation settings are ignored.
Prerequisites
To be able to display and, where necessary, further edit the file that you have generated with the export, the relevant program must be installed.
Procedure
Exporting the List
1. Choose with the quick info text Export and select Spreadsheet in the selection list. In full-screen mode, choose List ® Export ® Spreadsheet.
If you have a choice of more than one format, the Select Spreadsheet dialog box opens.
2. In the Select Spreadsheet dialog box, select the format in which you want to save the exported data.
3. Confirm the settings.
4. In the dialog box that appears, specify the path and name of the file and save the file.
For some formats, you also need to specify other settings for the file that is saved.
5. Make the required settings, where applicable.
If an installed program is linked to the selected file name extension, this program is started automatically and the generated file is opened.
Keeping Settings
If you plan to reuse the same spreadsheet format, you can save the settings for the format. By doing this, you can omit the step with the Select Spreadsheet dialog box and can export the list more quickly.
1. Proceed as described above in steps 1 and 2.
2. In the Select Spreadsheet dialog box, select Always Use Selected Format.
3. Confirm your settings and continue as outlined above.
From now on, whenever you export your list as described above, you bypass the Select Spreadsheet dialog box step and proceed immediately to saving the data.
4. If you want to display the Select Spreadsheetdialog box again during the export, in the context menu for the list, choose Spreadsheet.
The dialog box opens; the Always Use Selected Format indicator is not set. -
Publishing the 'button' widget using the source file

I want to use Captivate 5's 'button' widget, but wanted to change the design of the buttons. The source file I found was located at: Adobe Captivate 5/Gallery/Widgets/Source/ButtonsWidget/Button.fla
The problem is, when I try to publish this source, I get an error that says "/Applications/Adobe Captivate 5/Gallery/Widgets/Source/ButtonsWidget/comp/transformTool/TransformTool.as, Line 1314 Warning: 3553: Function value used where type Boolean was expected. Possibly the parentheses () are missing after this function reference."
What does this mean? Does anyone know how to publish this widget correctly? Please help!

~edlearnerIf you are on Windows you can just create a message in Outlook Express, then save it as a .eml file. This is just a plain text file in MIME format. (You can probably do the same from most simple email client apps... except Outlook).
To load this in to a Javamail object, you will still need a Session (which in-turn means you need an SMTP Server, although the server just has to be a valid IP belonging to a computer which is network accessible). I typically use the com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPMessage for simple SMTPMessage operations. You can load this from you .eml file like this:

I'm not sure about the apps, but to prevent theft, you'll also need to disable the power button and the ability to restore the ipad. You might also want to superglue in your Sim card because if they remove that, it wont be tracked unless they connect to WiFi.
