How do i enable web services on 8600

how do i enable web services on 8600

Are you using a router that has you connected to the printer through Ethernet or wireless?  If so, there should be an icon in the top left corner of the the printer display screen that resembles a piece of paper with a blue target behind that. Tap that button to enable web services and then accept the terms and conditions.  That should enable web services and then offer to print an info page that will have the printer code and the setup instructions.
Otherwise, if you are getting a failure to connect to web services error, please write me back with an exact error message and we can proceed from there.

  • C6180 how to enable web services

    Hi
    c6180 w7 64 bit
Trying to set up HP eprint home&biz on ipad3
1.how do you enable web services
2.when trying to map network drive, computer can't find the "Folder" address i enter, taken from the eprint " saved files" display on the ipad
    Thanks

    Hello there again, hope you are doing well;
Let's start by Uninstalling any HP All-in-One software.
I will problaby do this in safe mode to ensure that no drivers or proccesses  are in use at the time that you are installing the printer.
On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon ( ), click Control Panel , and then double-click Programs and Features .
Click the following HP software components, click Uninstall near the top of the window, and then click Next to uninstall the software.
    HP Deskjet/Photosmart/All-in-One software
    HP Imaging device functions
    HP Customer Participation program
    HP Solution Center
    HP Photosmart Essentials
I will prefer for you to use this Tool to reinstall the printer CLICK HERE.
Before continuing I will  suggest you to disable all security applications (including Windows firewall ) to eliminate the some component of the software being quarantine or block.  after disabling all security applications,
See if the problem is solved. if not continue.
Change the DNS server to Google's public DNS which is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for the secondary or alternate DNS (second DNS server) does your printer have an static IP address.  If not let's set that as well, uninstall and reinstall the printer,  by the way this is the main support page for your printer if you need it for future reference GO HERE
Let's print a Network configuration page,
Press the Setup button ( ) on the front of the product.
Press the Down Arrow button ( ) to highlight Network , and then press OK .
Press the Down Arrow button ( ) to highlight Wireless Network Test , and then press OK .The Wireless Network Test Report prints.
On the test page, find the IP address.
    Example IP address on the network configuration page;
If the product IP address on the test page is 0.0.0.0 or 169.254. XXX. XXX , this means that the HP product is not connected to the network. Continue to the next step to set up the product on the wireless network.  If the product IP address on the test page is not 0.0.0.0 or 169.254. XXX. XXX (for example, 192.168.0.5), this means that the HP product is connected to the network. Review the steps in this document to check communication between the product and the computer.
The 169.254.xxx.xxx is use for APIPA  Automatic Private IP Addressing and is self assing if you have one of this you will need to disable IPv4 and enable it to see if there only a glick is that does not fix the problem if may be corruction on the stack of protocols you will have to uninstall and reinstall the protocols stack. Refer to the Operating system KB to see how you accomplish this.
Let's set the static IP first,
In the EWS screen, click the Network tab.
Click Wired (802.3) , and then click the IPv4 Configuration or the IPv6 Configuration tab.
Click Manual IP . The Manual IP Address box opens.
In the Manual IP Address box, type an IP address with the same values in the first three sets of digits (subnet values) as the product's IP address (listed on the Network Configuration Page), and a higher value (between 1 and 254) in the fourth set of digits. This creates a static IP address on the same subnet, but outside the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) range.
For example, if the product's original IP address is 192.168.0.1 , assign the static IP address to 192.168.0.200 .
Figure 5: Example of an IP address - DHCP values shown
Figure 6: Example of a static IP address with DHCP values modified
NOTE:Do not type the static IP address from the example. Enter a static IP address based on the IP address for your product.
Enter the Subnet Mask and the Default Gateway settings as they appear on the Network Configuration Page.
Now here should be able to set the DNS server to the google's Public ones, Please. Do so
Click OK to save the new settings, and then click Exit or close the browser to exit the EWS.
Let me know if this helps and will continue making my best effort to assist you until we get this working properly
    Hope this helps and regards;

  • How to Remove & Re-Enable Web Services on LaserJet printers supporting ePrint

If your LaserJet printer has been disconnected from or failed to connect to Web Services, you may need to power cycle your printer to reconnect.  If that does not resolve the problem, you can remove web services, wait 30 seconds, then re-enable web services to re-establish your connection to ePrint and Print Apps. Note: this last step will result in a new email address being assigned to your printer.
How do I remove HP Web Services for my LaserJet printer?
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line and press Enter. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Select the option to disable Web Services.
How do I enable or re-enable HP Web Services for my LaserJet printer?
To use HP ePrint, you must first enable HP Web Services.  Re-Enabling Web Services uses the same procedure as enabling the Web Services.
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line and press Enter. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Select the option to enable Web Services.
When Web Services are enabled, ePrint information appears in the HP Embedded Web Server. Look for the e-mail address that is automatically assigned to the product. The product also prints an HP Web Services information sheet that contains this e-mail address and instructions
If you were unable to register your printer in www.hpeprintcenter.com within 24 hours of printing your information sheet, you must re-enable the printer code by reprinting your information sheet.  The information sheet will also provide your email address if you have forgotten it.
How do I print the Web Services Information Sheet for my LaserJet printer?
You can only add the printer to your HP ePrintCenter account within 24 hours after printing the information sheet.  You can re-print the information sheet at any time from the printer control panel.
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Click the Print Information Sheet button.

  • How to enable Web services for CP 1525nw

    Hi,
I am unable to use ePrint for LaserJet CP 1525nw. Printer connected over WiFi. Tried to Enable Web services and saw the message "Connection error Check connection". Firmware is up-to-date. Use the printer in different applications on PC, iPad and iPhone. Everything is working well not ePrint. HP diagnostics did not describe any problems.

    Hello Prophet097,
Setting manual network information may help the enabling of Web Services for ePrint on your printer.
    To do so:
On the printer's control panel, press "OK" two times to access the reports menu.
Press the right arrow to select "Network Summary" and press "OK" to print the report.
Open an internet browser on a computer within the same network as the printer.
In the address bar, type the printer's "IPv4 Address" and press "Enter", this should take you to a page about your printer.
Click on the "Network" tab at the top of the page.
Click on "IPv4 Configuration" on the left-hand side.
Click the bubble to the left of "Manual" to allow you to input manual settings.
Input the same information from the "Network Summary" into the fields for "IP Address", "Subnet Mask", and "Default Gateway".
Note- None of those fields should be "0.0.0.0"0 or "169.254.xx.xx". If they are, there maybe network issues with the printer.
In the "Preferred DNS Server" and "Alternate DNS Server", this could vary by the size of your network.
-Preferred DNS Server- If you are on a small network, input the same value as the "Default Gateway".
-Alternate DNS Server- If you are on a small network, input either "0.0.0.0" or "8.8.8.8."
Note- If you are on a domain, you may have specific DNS Server information that needs to be in the fields.
    Click "Apply" on the page.
Power the printer off and then on.
Try to enable Web Services again.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • Office jet 4630 will not enable web services

I have the printer installed on my computers wirelessly and the wireless connection says it is excellent but when I hit the button to connect it to enable web services I get an error telling me that my printer could not connect to the server. Tells me to check my internet connection or the proxy settings. I have checked everything, including the proxy settings and nothing has helped. I contacted HP customer service and they were about useless. I contacted my ISP as suggested to help me with my proxy settings and they were just as useless. I am fed up and ready to return the printer, but I would really like the instant ink program. I am not sure if this is just a problem with this printer or all of these types of printers. Any help would be appreciated on how to get this fixed or what to do, that is not someone telling me that I need to talk to someone else. I even had my son who is a computer engineer try to fix it and he couldn't do it, so I am baffled. HELP!!!

Hi Theladie and welcome the HP Support Forum. It sounds like the printer is on your local WiFi network but does not have internet connectivity. Here's what you can try to resolve this issue:
Get the printers IP address (this should display under the wireless menu on the front panel) and enter it into a browser on an internet connected computer
This brings you to the printers embedded web server (EWS) page
Click on the Network tab and then on the Networking link at the left hand side of the page
Click on the Network Address (IP) option, toggle the Manual DNS Server button and enter the following settings:
This solutions has worked for other people experiencing the same problem, hope the information helps.

Hi there, two other things you could try (if not already attempted) are:
Check to ensure that you have the latest firmware for your router – review your router documentation/help (or the router manufacturer’s web site) for information on how to check for and install firmware updates.
Restore factory defaults - The factory default option is usually found in the Setup>Tools menu on your printer.   Do the following on your device:
    Remove/Disable Web Services
Restore factory defaults/settings (depending on the printer this is found under the Setup>Tools menu, or the Setup>Web Services menus, but varies by printer)
If prompted, re-do initial setup of your device and add it to your network
    Re-enable Web Services
Once the Web Services information sheet is printed, use the printer claiming code to add your printer to your account on ePrintCenter

  • M451dn can not enable web service tab

    I BOUGHT A NEW LASERJET PRO 400 M451DN
    NETWORKED PRINTING WORKS PERFECTLY
TRYING TO ENABLE WEB SERVICE TAB AND SAYS "CONNECTION ERROR CHECK CONNECTION"
ITS ON MY DMZ SEGMENT WHAT DO I LOOK FOR?
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP
    JOHN

    Hello,
The first thing I would do is follow step six in this document to set a static IP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02817031&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4023246&tmp...
When it askes for DNS information, enter in Google's DNS. Preferred DNS = 8.8.8.8 Alt DNS = 8.8.4.4
If the printer is on a corporate network, it may require a proxy to get an internet connection.
If that does not help, if you could provide me with the following information it would help me out. First, who is your ISP( Internet Service Provider, i.e. Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, ect.)? Second, who is the maker of your router? Lastly, what is the model number and firmware version of your router?

  • Can't enable web services/eprint

For some reason my Hp6700 will not allow me to enable web services/e-print

    dcousine,
The first thing I would try in this situation is a network reboot.
First, disconnect the power cord from the back of your router.
Next disconnect the power cord from either the back of the printer or the wall, without powering it off first.
Wait about 30 seconds and reconnect the power cord to your router.
Wait about another 30 seconds and plug the printer back in. It should boot back up automatically, but if it doesn't go ahead and press the power button.
Once everything is back up and running, try to enable ePrint.
If that doesn't work for you, let me know and I can give you some more steps to try.

  • Officejet 6500a Plus - can't enable Web Services

Any help would be appriated on this - I've tried trawling Google to no avail!
I'm trying to enable Web services on my printer to use apps, ePrint, Airprint, e.t.c. When I press Web Services setup, I accept the terms and conditions and am instantly taken to a product update check. The screen then displays 'No product updates available for this printer' with only an 'OK' button to press, when I do I am taken back to the terms and conditions. I am stuck in a permanent loop! All other services (print, scan) work fine and the printer is definitely connected to the internet.
    I have tried:
    -Restoring factory defaults
    -Turning off printer and router.
-Changing DNS settings for the printer.
Any other suggestions - I'm getting really frustrated now so would appreciate any ideas!!

  • I could not enable web services on my laserjet 500 colour M551 printer

I could not enable web service on laserjet 500 colour M551 printer but i proper configure the ip & dns. The internet is working properly from laptop or desktop on this lan port. what to do?

    @garytech1,
Wouldn't inputting those settings disrupt their connectivity within their own network?
Why would those IP settings work?
Curious, mostly.  I have 25 of the M551 units on our network and every last one of them has the sticker saying it can be used with HP ePrint, however the "Web Services" tab in the EWS that is supposed to be the place to turn on or activate the ePrint option ... is not there on their EWS pages.  Installing the latest firmware does not bring the option in.  I've not located any option to enable it.  From the printer's menu, there is a place under "How to Connect" for the ePrint option but it reports that it isn't enabled.
I just want to be able to enable that functionality.  I've done it on other HP models, but can't find the option on these units.

  • Enable web services for hp envy 5530

I keep getting enable web services when I am trying to scan a document. I have clicked on yes about a million times but it wont let me move forward with scanning my documents. I am using MAC OS system.

    Hi @cixxpac77,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.   I see that you are getting a message to enable the web services on your Envy 5530 printer when trying to scan.
From your description I suspect that you are trying to use the scan to email feature of your printer.  This feature requires that you setup the ePrint feature of the printer.
The first step is to please ensure your printer is connected to your wireless network.  This can  be easily accomplished from the front panel of the printer using the Wireless Setup Wizard.  If you are unsure how to do this, the steps can be found in your User Guide on page 55 in the section titled “To connect the product with the Wireless Setup Wizard”.
Once the printer is connected to your wireless network, let’s enable web services.  The steps to enable the web services can be found in the Getting the Printer Claim Code document.   If you wish to customize the printer’s ePrint email address I have included the Setting Up a Custom Email Address for HP ePrint document.
If you encountered an connection error message when trying to enable web services, please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer.  I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screenshots, on how to do this.  Don’t worry that the screen shots are for an Officejet 4630  the steps are the same.
Please let me know the outcome.

    Hi FredL50,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you would like to learn how to update the firmware of your Laserjet M1217nfw printer.
Without a computer that runs a full Mac or Windows operating system, there is no way to update the printer’s firmware as neither support the download and installation of the HP Laserjet Firmware Update Utility. I have included the Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates document for reference.

  • Unable to call WSS (WS-Security) enabled Web Service using UTL_DBWS

We are attempting to call a WSS (WS-Security) enabled Web Service from PL/SQL using the UTL_DBWS package (see [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/u_dbws.htm#CHDIDGJH] ). We are doing this in similar fashion to [http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/10g/utl_dbws10g.php] with calls to utl_dbws.create_service, utl_dbws.create_call and utl_dbws.invoke.
Using this method we can successfully call an unsecured Web Service, but calls to WSS-enabled Web Services fail. We are currently using Oracle Database 10.2.0.3.
The failure we are getting is:
ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException:
com.sun.xml.wss.XWSSecurityException: Message does not conform to configured
    policy ( AuthenticationTokenPolicy(S) ): No Security Header found;nested
    exception is com.sun.xml.wss.XWSSecurityException:
com.sun.xml.wss.XWSSecurityException: Message does not conform to configured
policy ( AuthenticationTokenPlicy(S) ): No Security Header found
Apparently UTL_DBWS does not support calling WSS enabled services, although this doesn't appear to be an officially recognised position. Does anyone know if Oracle are planning to support this soon (if ever)? Looking at Re: Calling WS from PL/SQL using WS-security suggests that support has been considered before, but not yet realised.
    Thanks,
    Tom

Having raised a Service Request with Oracle support on this, I got the following response from Oracle Development (On unpublished bug [8542959|https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=BUG&p_id=8542959]):
Development has confirmed that WS-Security is not supported through UTL_DBWS. They have also acknowledged that this is not documented and they will change the official Oracle documentation will reflect this fact. From what is being stated, it would appear that there is no plan to support the use of WS-Security through UTL_DBWS in any release in the near future.
So, in short, without developing your own home-grown SOAP request, there is no way to call a WSS enabled web service from within PL/SQL.

  • How to consume a web service provided by third party system from SAP system

    Hi Friends,
Could any of you provide me a clear picture on how to consume a web service from SAP system and is provided by a third party system?
Do we get an URL to create a client proxy for consuming the web service?
    Thanx in advance,
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
of course you cannot supply the WSDL URL. Inside the WSDL (just view it in your browser) you find (usually but not necessary) towards the end something like
    <soap:address location="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/SOAP_server/ndfdXMLserver.php"/>
which is the actual adress of the service.
An example service can be found here:
    <a href="http://www.weather.gov/xml/">National Digital Forecast Database</a>
    containing the WSDL URL at
    <a href="http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/xml/DWMLgen/wsdl/ndfdXML.wsdl">this address</a>.
You might also want to browse for the amazon webservices which allow you to embed queries against amazon into your application.
    have fun,
