How do I enter an iTunes U course code in iTunes on a PC? My teacher gave me a course code to enroll in their course (unpublished), but I don't have an iPad or iPhone. Can I use iTunes on my PC? I don't see a place to enter my enrollment code. I also tried using the link sent to enroll but it doesn't work either. Am I out of luck?

As I noted in the other thread:
There are two kinds of content available, "courses" and "collections". If you look at the iTunes U section on the iTunes Store, you'll note some are square (collection) and some have a faux wire binder and tabs (course); you can subscribe and watch collections from within iTunes, but courses only work on iOS.
The content you see in iTunes on your PC are "collections", while your teacher has created a "course". Collections are more like podcasts, with only audio or video episodes available. Courses have more structure and richer content, including assignments and iOS-specific materials like App Store links and Pages documents.
While the distinction is not particularly relevant for iOS users – one can subscribe to either type – it is admittedly confusing for desktop users since the distinction and terminology are not explicitly defined.
Does that clarify matters somewhat?

Of course you can do that!
You just have to enter your Apple ID on your grandson's iPad and then conect it to your computer.
You'll see on your iTunes library that there's a little label on the top left corner of iTunes that indicates you all you have on your library. Well, if you click on that, you'll see there's an option to see Apps. You click on that (remember, you must have your grandson's iPad connected) and you'll be able to see all the apps you have downloaded with your Apple ID.
Then you have to go to the top right of iTunes and you'll find a button that shows the iPad connected. Click on that and it'll show up your iPad summary. On top of that page, you'll see some options. One of them says "Apps". You click on that one and there should appear the apps you have downloaded. Choose the App you want to install and simply click "Install".
After that you can eject your iPad and enjoy your new App!

Every purchase page for an ebook has a section that says "Requirements". What does that say for your particular book? That should give you the answer to your question. Conversion is normally not possible.
But there are some exceptions. Please provide the Title of the book if you want further help.

I have an old powerPC G4. dual 867 512 MB. my optical drive is having trouble reading my leopard installer. I was going to try to use remote install but i don't have a network where I can connect both the mac and the windows laptop. any suggestions?

I'm just trying to revive my old PowerPC G4/ dual 867MHz 512MB. Unfortunately I am unable to install from disc since my optical drive, although still working, is somehow not able to read the leopard installer. I wanted to try the remote install option but have limited resources and don't have a network where I can have both the Mac desktop and windows laptop communicate. I read somewhere that I can use a crossover cable to connect the two directly. I'm still trying to see if I can get an external DVD-ROM as another option. Any suggestions?

It depends on what you mean by "sync the iPad with the iPhone". Technically, you can't sync the devices like you would sync with a computer anyway, so you can't think that way. You can keep the two devices in sync, but if you want two devices with identical content on them, you have to restore one device from the backup of the other device for starters.
After that, you would have to download the same apps on the one device that you have on the other device, download all of the same songs, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and so on. The you would have have iCloud enabled on both devices in order to keep app data in sync, if the apps work with iCloud. So enable iCloud on bit devices and go to Settings>iCloud and turn on all of the items in there...mail, notes, reminders, Safari, calendar, photo stream, contacts, documents and data, etc.
You would also have to turn on automatic downloads in Settings> iTunes & App Store>Automatic Downloads> on for songs, apps and books so that whatever you download on one device downloads to the other device.
If you have any apps that do not work with iCloud for the purposes of syncing app data, it will be impossible to keep the two devices identical total in content.

Three things come to mind:
1. I think you're implying when you travel away from your home to a more populated area, the cellular coverage improves and your iPhone works well. Is that right?
2. Do you have a case or some other obstruction over or near your iPhone's antenna? Have you tried moving or removing any possible obstructions near the antenna?
3. AT&T has a (free) app in the App Store called "Mark the Spot". You can use this app to report voice and/or data issues to AT&T, as well as keep up on progress they may be making in improving coverage in your area. Your trouble reports are geotagged (if you wish).

First of all, Verizon does not guarantee service, even in areas where the map says there is full coverage.
Service provided vial radio waves can be affected by multiple things, such as foliage, buildings AND asmospheric conditions such as snowstorms.
Maybe you should have purchased the NE before the snowstorm, but then if your power went out, you would be out of luck. Of course, your power company says they will provide you power, but then again, sometimes there are outages.
If phone service is so important, there is NOTHING as reliable as a land line!!!
