How do I enter MY info on a used mac?

Hello,
I purchased a second hand macbook. The guy reformated the computer so that it would not have any of his info on it.
When he reformated the computer, he put my name as 'Temporary Account' and now has none of my info and does not have the password that I want.
The problem is that I have already installed a few things and do not want to start from scratch.
Is there any way to change the 'owner' of the computer?
I hope Im not being too confusing.

Hi,
You need the install disc that came with the MacBook to do this.
To reset the administrator password using the *Mac OS X Install disc*:
Insert the Mac OS X Install disc and restart the computer.
When you hear the startup tone, press and hold down the C key until you see the spinning gear.
When the Language Chooser appears, select your language and click Continue.
In the Installer, choose Utilities > Reset Password.
Follow the onscreen instructions to change the password.

How can i enter network info on apple tv without remote

HELP!
I was trying to change my dns number to get American netflix in Canada. I thought I had done everything right, was heading back to check out that it was working and accidently pressed enter too many times. I told my apple tv to forget my network. I know that all I need to get back on my network is the password, but small problem, my apple tv remote is busted. Is there anyway to get back on without it? I tried via the remote app on my phone, but it says my apple tv isn't connected to the network. I know buying a nrew remote is the easy soltuion, but I would love to fix this before my darling husband wakes up, oy!

As far as I know, there is no way to input your wi-fi password without an Apple remote. You have several options:
If you have an iMac or MacBook and you have the remote for either of those devices, they will also work on your Apple TV.
Connect your AppleTV to your router with an ethernet cable.
Log in to your router and change wi-fi security to "none." (This is the least desirable option; it can often be done by entering one of these two URLs in your web browser: http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.2.1. Also, it will probably ask for a user name and password which you'll need to have to reconfigure the router).

How can you enter a line-break when using a Bluetooth Keyboard or onscreen Keyboard?

In Pages & Keynote the only way to force a line break I have found is to put your finger at the end of a line until the select/insert option appears and then selecting insert, then select line break.
This is frustratingly slow when typing a presentation or document so I bought a Logitech Ultrathin Bluetooth keyboard assuming that would have the Shift+Enter shortcut to make a line break. It doesn't, nor can I find any key combination that does, it's always a new paragraph, or nothing happens.
I have an Ipad3, IOS 6.1.3. I've spoken to Logitech support - they said talk to Apple iOS support, I spoke with a chap at IOS support who didn't know what a line break was, didn't know shift+enter on a PC made a line break so didn't understand my question and ended the call.
Anyone know how to create the shortcut as an alternative to the onscreen slow way?

How do I transfer my info from my old Mac Mini to my new one?

I have two Mac Mini's. The old one is a Power Mac 10.5.8 (no Intel) and the new one is a dual system running Snow Leopard 10.6.7. I only have one monitor and a wireless connection. How do I transfer my older files and applications from my old Mac to the new one? I bought a 40/80 Firewire cable and connected it to the proper ports, and changed the monitor setting to shared...held down the T and restarted the old Mac...still nothing. (These were tips I got from forums.) Anyone have other ideas?
Baring that, I also tried to save my files to a dvd and put them in a burn folder, clicked burn, but it wouldn't burn. I never used it before...am I doing something wrong?

Apple provides setup and migration services at your local Apple Store. The do all the work and help with any questions on use, configuration etc.

Cannot enter withholdings info for Pennsylvania using IT0210

Hi- If I try to create a state withholdings record for Pennsylvania (subtype PA on IT0210) for an employee, the "Filing status" and "Allowances" fields are greyed out and have zeros in them. Not sure why this is...is there something special about Pennsylvania where these fields should always be zero? I do not have this issue for any other state. Please advise- thanks!

Goto the Feature (PE03) PAYSV
check the Return values.In this feature the return value would be subfeature PAYS1
Step 2.
Goto to the feature PAYS1 and check the return value for pennsylvania.
Step 3.
Goto the screen modifications T588m and check screen with variable key mentioned in the feature for Pennsylvania in PAYS1 feature.

Hello, i have been having troubles to record at 96k.. i have asked my USB Audi Interface company to assist me but they said that for some reason my MAC OS wont support recordings at 96k.. anyone with a way to get around to record at 96k ?

How to access internal photo storage of iPad using Mac

Usually I will import photos including RAW and jpeg from my camera to iPad, and import photos from iPad to PC later. After finishing importing photos from iPad to PC, I will delete all RAW files from iPAD.
It is OK when I connect my iPAD to a Windows based PC, I can find out my iPAD in 'My Computer' and access the internal storage.
But I cannot find out a way to the same on my MacBook Pro.
Can anybody give me a hint how to delete RAW files in iPAD? Thanks.

How do I separate my e mail addresses using Mac Mail in Mavericks?

Hi All, moving from my beloved Snow Leopard to Mavericks has not been good.
In Mac Mail I have a mix of POP (my main accounts) and IMAP (G Mail) accounts.
Since installing Mavericks the e mail addresses are now all lumped together (as on an iPad) and I do not want this!
Please advise how I can go back to separate addresses listed as before? Help! I choose to prioritise my e mails and a whole lot at once is so not where I want to be! (And it does not look as stylish as before!)

Answered! Ok, I am trudging my way through Mavericks and it seems I have my separate Mail boxes back.
I have to say that I do not like the look of Mavericks. It was so clean, simple and smart before. It feels kind of messy but maybe I need lots more time to get used to it .But so far, a bit sad I've upgraded to Mavericks. I did it first on my Mac Book before doing so on my iMac and at the mo I am not going to!

The Lion redemption code can only be used in the App Store application found in 10.6.6, and higher Macs.
You can't download it from a PC or a phone.

I've been all over the forums, the net, everywhere. It seems that there are posts from more than 3 years ago from people wanting to email mailmerge from pages to mail. Three years! It's quite terrifying the feature still doesn't appear to exist.
iWork and Pages have not had significant upgrades in the last 3 years, so I wouldn't be surprised if things haven't changed.
I simply want:
1 Data in my spreadsheet (don't care which spreadsheet)
2 Document in my word processor (don't care which wordprocessor)
3 Mailmerge emails sent via my email client (using apple mail but could be flexible)
Pages and Numbers can do items 1, 2 and half of item 3 (they can't email the documents). So you really need a way to send bulk emails and attach a document. Maybe you should look at an AppleScript or Automator action to email the letters.

You posted your question in the Apple Pay area, so I will assume you are asking about credit card numbers (when you say "membership cards").
You can type your credit card number in the area where the account offers a way to take a photo of your credit card.

How to Sync BB Torch 9800 with Office for Mac Outlook 2011?

I can not sync my bb with my mac with MS Office 2011 Outlook.
Just for the info I am using Mac OSX 10.7 and it does not have iSync.
First time I synced my device, the bb desktop manager asked me what to sync with what.
I did sync my contacts with Mac address book, but now I have MS Office 2011 for Mac and want to sync all four
1 Calender
2 Contacts
3 Notes and
4 Tasks
with my outlook.
Can some one please guide me on how can I get that done?

How to simplify entering position selection in Info type 0001 ?
HR admin needs to select vacant positions of org unit 1 or 2.
While executing Hiring action, F4 shows all the root org units - around 20 or so...
I want only the org 1 and org 2 for which the HR Admin can do the hiring.
How to implement this?
Do we have IMG Config for enforce this ?
Is this to be done thru ABAP code or something?
Would the authorization stuff will filter the authorize org units only?
Please help me how to figure this out

There can be a workaround to simplify the process of entering vacant positions from org unit 1 & 2 ONLY . Try this out-
1. create an adhoc query (report output on vacant positions with their object ID and position text for org unit 1and 2)
2. Save the query as a variant (so the HR administrators would need to change only the key date when they run the query)
3. Everytime the HR administrator runs the Hiring action for org unit 1 or 2 , ask them to run the report (adhoc) first. That way they get a complete list of vacant positions as on key date (with object ID) for org unit 1 and 2 . This report can also be downloaded in excel format
4. use the positions from the above list to manually key in the hiring action
Hope this helps you out - may not be the most efficient way of doing but atleast you have a ready list of all vacant positions as on a key date for org unit 1 & 2.
I think there is a standard SAP report on vacant positions per org unit (plz check the SAP easy access menu--> Information system / reporting tools) . If that serves your purpose , no need to create adhoc query
