How do I erase a CD read/write disc on my macbook so I can add new data

help!
How do I erase a CD read/write disc on my macbook so I can add new data. If a disc is a RW, I shouldn't i be able to write to it after it already has some data on it?
I get a screen note saying I can't add anything because something is already on the disc... but it's only one little 3 meg file. But apple i info. shows no room on the cd.
How can I erase the cd and reuse it? I find no erase command and when I try to drag the file to the trash, i get another note saying i don't have permission... even tho I've check off the permission box.
sheesh.

Open Disk Utility, choose the CD on the left side and click "Erase" on the right.

How do is get back to Read & Write permissions on HDs ?

Hi gang,
I was trying to set up one central folder for 4 iTune users (accounts) in our household.
One of the blogs said put in "Shared" folder and set permissions to "Read & Write". I tried but on "Everybody" is does not offer the "R&W" option, just "Read". They also said to be sure you clicked "Apply to Enclosed Items" in the drop down. Although I could not set "Everyone" to "R&W", I clicked on "Apply to Enclosed Items" and the hard drives clicked for at least 15 minutes.
Afterward I got a pop up that said...   System Extension "/System/Library/Extension/ACard6280ATA.kext" was installed improperly and can be used. Try reinstalling. and an OK button to click. I clicked OK and at least 100 more popup appeared, one after the other as I clicked OK.   They all had the same basic message except the info after /System/Library/Extension/, it kept changing slightly on each new popup.
The big problem is I now have three of my four internal hard drives locked to my access and all they say custom on the permissions Privilege window.   Only my main HD is working, thank God.
How do I get back to Read & Write on Privileges, and on all Hard Drives?

Thanks for all the reply's, I really appreciate your time. I have Apple Care so I worked with Apple tech last night and today, but they had to pass problem on to their engineers. They did a great job trying to help and spent 2 hours helping me input in code through the Terminal screen. It helped a little, but we still can access drive 2, 3 and 4 due to the global permissions that were changed.   All in all, it looks like we have to reinstall the OS on a washed HD.
I found out that the Repair program (Disk Utilities) only repairs permissions that were created after the initial set up. It won't correct original setting and that's what happened when I clicked on "Apply to Enclosed Items" at the root level. Likewise Time machine does not clone the main operating system so a restore would probably not get all the pieces back in their proper places.
I was thinking of doing a reinstall of the whole Mac HD drive (boot drive) with an exact copy I made with Carbon Cloner a month back, but the techs seem to think they will have to work on of the 4 individual HD I have.

How to add new data type

I need to add new data type like SDO_GEOMETRY in spatial Oracle.
I don't mean the User-Defined Datatype but new datatype imbed in the database.
It might be written in C++ or Java but I do not know how.

(Apart from the obvious shortcomings of Oracle object types being addressed, but that could take a while.) We have 4 below file systems.
Sybase/TST/sapdata_1
Sybase/TST/sapdata_2
Sybase/TST/sapdata_3
Sybase/TST/sapdata_4
Already we have added one data file each in sapdata_1 and 2. Sapdata3 and 4 are emptry.
How to add new data file in sapdata3 or 4.
Please provide syntax for creating a new data file and steps for the same.

i am currently plotting data on a graph from a physical system. However when i want to add new data to the plot, the old one is replaced. I am trying to do more than one plot on the same graph, where the incoming data is at different times. I want something like Excel where i can just add a new plot to the graph.Can i save the data or freeze it onto the graph or something so that i can add a new plot and see the two at the same time?

As the other post pointed out, there are two objects in LV for plotting,
graphs and charts. If you wish to have a chart recorder that
accumulates data into one or more plot with time, you probably want a chart.
If you push a button and acquire a trace and want to add that to your
graph, you just need to
combine it with the data you plotted before and
update the graph. It isn't the most efficient, but you can easily read
the value of the graph using a local, add another row or column or
element to your data and send it to the graph.
To directly answer your other question, no, the grah doesn't have a
functional interface for clearing, adding, or deleting plots. Instead,
you do that with the diagram nodes and give the graph the results.

We need to use SM30 to maintain a table entry. When I click the button of "New Entries", the table screen becomes blank. I can only add new data but not be able to see the old data existing in the table.
How can I have the new line available for me to add new data at the same time see the data currently existing in the table?

Just to follow up for what we did to disable the delete function for maintaining table records. We hided the Delete button by adding a "MODULE disable_delete" code in Screen Painter. So now only adding records to the table is allowed.

How do i fix my safari bookmarks so I can add new ones?

First off, I need to let you all know that i am not computer savvy! I noticed the past couple of days that I can no longer add new bookmarks to my Safari. I thought I had too many so I deleted a lot but it still won't let me add any new ones. Has anyone else had this problem? If you know how to fix it, please let me know. Also if you could explain how to fix it in plain English I would appreciate it. I googled my problem and the responses I read as to how to fix it I couldn't understand. The computer speak was beyond me. Thanks in advance for any help you all can give me!

How to update (add new data in different tab) existing table from Excel

i've an existing table, for instance User Profile table, it consists of few tab in the table which contains different data... recently i've added new tab to the existing table and i would like to upload a particular data for this new tab... is there any way to upload (insert new data for the tab on existing data) this particular data into the existing table from Excel file?
could it be done by using lsmw?

To make new data element was successful.
I want to use them as sort field, however I don't know how to add them to the list of fields with caption.
(i.e. to setting Visualize>My Org Units>Sort Fields)

There are 2 ways to do this, both involving some customization of the application.
1) Extend your HR-OCI views (TMC_O_SUCC_T & TMC_O_SUCC_B for My Org Units and TMC_IN_REP_T_DT & TMC_IN_REP_B_DT) to include Short Name. You probalby want to seek help from an OM consultant if this is not your area of expertise.
2) Create a linked data element that links together the existing data elements and a new data element which includes Short Name. Your new data element must have the name of the existing data elements or you should change the hierarchy configuration that uses these data elements. Beware that this can prove troublesome for the Position Hierarchy because of the "virtual root" that is created - sometimes the join does not work because of this.

How do I add new data to the same file in a State Machine?

Hello,
I have a State Machine, with a State where 3 samples of data are collected in a For Loop. I would like to save this data in a file and keep adding new data to the same file each time I get to this state. The problem I'm running into is that each time I reach this State, my old data in the Excel file gets replaced with the new data instead of being continuously added in the same file.
Ive tried Shift Registers but I may not be using them correctly since my file keeps displaying only 3 new data points.
Any ideas will be appreciated!

How do I erase IOS 6? I installed it and now 45 apps can't download! I want my old iPhone back, I hate IOS6

1. I foolishly agreed to install IOS6. Woke up: my phone told me it had a number of fatal errors
2. Did a RESTORE in iTunes
3. Did a second RESTORE

I'm in the same boat. Updated to ios6 without doing the research first.
Now I have things that won't sync correctly.
Went to the Apple store, they were acting like they didn't know how this could be done.
They make it seem like you can do anything in the world on an iPhone... except get rid of ios6 and go back to 5.1.
There has to be a way this can be done. With what seems like so many people upset about the new upgrade, either Apple is gonna step up to the plate with a solution or the people are gonna find one.

TS1368 I have authorized 5 computers for my itunes account and cannot authorize any more computers. However, two of my computers had hard drive crashes and I can't go to those computers to deauthorize them so I can add new computers. How do I do that?

I have authorized over the past years a total of 5 computers, two of which bit the dust. Apple will not allow me to authorize any more computers because I've maxed out the limit of 5. According to the instructions, I must deauthorize the two computers that crashed to allo any more computers to share my music, videos, etc. I can't deauthorize the two hard drives that "crashed", so how can I authorize any more computers? Help.

Once per year you can deauthorize all five computers regardless of whether they are still in service or no longer in your possession. You can then reauthorize the computers you still use.
In iTunes Store click on the Account link under Quick Links.
