How do I erase an old dial up connection?

I am trying to delete an old dial up connection that keeps populating. I am unable to use my new internet service provider due to the pop up question populating asking me if that is how I am getting on the internet. I called my provider and they told me I needed to delete that dial up connection but they were unfamilar as to how to do it due to me being with mozilla firefox and not internet explorer.

Well I would recommend you do have an off internal hard drive backup of all your files before wiping any duplicates off the internal. Once you are certain you have an off internal hard drive backup of all essential files, then use Disk Utility to erase the other partitions.

If you have the original disks, just use them.
Insert the OS disk, and restart while holding down the C key. Start the OS installation process. On the screen after the language selection, click Utilities in the menu bar. When Disk Utility is running select the name of the hard drive on the left, and click erase. When that is done, quit DU, restart and complete the OS installation.
At the end of the installation turn the computer off. When your nephew starts the computer he will be asked to enter his name etc, and register it as his own.
If you do not have the original disks, you can buy a copy of Snow Leopard and use the same procedure with that disk:

Do you know what actually prompted the dial up box to appear ? Is it after a certain program is run, e.g. internet explorer, a mail client program or something else ?

I am going to give my old one to my husband. I plugged my new ipod touch into my computer and put my musice library on it. I then tried to clear my old ipod touch. I went to General Settings and told it that I wanted to clear the ipod touch. It went thru a few things and then it said to plug it into itunes. I do not understand why? On my itunes it does not list two ipod touch's on there as devices, so I am scared it I plug the new one into itunes it will clear both. Please help!

Just connect your iPod to your computer, let iTunes come up, and then select Restore to Factory Settings. This will clear off every thing and install the current version of iOS for that generation. You can name the device and then set up iTunes to synch the items you choose.
If you have more than one computer, let hubby set up his own iTunes account and Apple ID so you don't get your stuff mixed up.

1. Because it is either the same IP as the new one or hidden by being plugged in as a second router.
To access it, isolate one computer from the existing network and plug it directly by ethernet to a lan port of the TC. Use the erase function in the TC to remove all the content of the hard disk.
Then go to the internet tab, connection sharing and select off bridged. You can then reconnect the TC to the network.. and the computer as well. The TC will act as bridged device.. getting IP from the main router and should then appear correctly in Airport utility.
2. I covered in 1. But you just go in airport utility manual setup. disk, and you will see the erase function. You can also set it to bridge and leave the erase until you put it back in the network.. but be careful you erase the right one.
3. You can use the old TC via wired or wireless.. although I would always stick to wired connection if possible. Speed on wireless is 10x worse than wired.
Also note the reliability goes down dramatically after 2 years.. a series 1 3 years old or more is ebay fodder unless you want to repair it. Do not trust vital data to it.. when it dies you will have issues recovering it.
4. Yes, all apple routers will function as wireless extenders. when you do that the ethernet ports turn off so it becomes a purely wireless device.. strange apple decision on what you want to use your TC for.

Delete the account, provide the password for the account when prompted to turn of Find My iPhone, then sign back into with the account you want to use. If you don't know the password, or if it is rejected, you'll have to do one of the following:
If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should then be able to turn off Find My iPhone with your password. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back and change your primary email address and iCloud ID back to the way it was. You will then be able to go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current ID and password to reconnect to your iCloud account.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to get them to reset the password for it so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. You will have to prove your identity to them in order to do so. You can either contact iTunes support for assistance with this (https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html), or contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

I have several old device names/backups on my iTunes that I want to remove. They were from old iPhones that we've turned into iPod's for my kids which we needed to create a new device name for them. So now when I restore a device, I have a list of about 10 different names to choose from.
