I was using my iPod Touch 4G when i got a black screen and i cant reboot it

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it says place in recovery mode use this program
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iphone 2g is blocked at boot screen, this happened after i erase all data and settings.I read i must put iphone in DFU mode and then restore iOS, but the home button of the iphone is broken, how can i put iphone in DFU mode then? Anybody has any idea?

Hey guys,
Here's a little background to my iPhone :
I've been using an iPhone 4 for about a year now and i'm pretty impressed with it. Recently though, my home button stopped working. The only way you could get it to function is to press the button really really hard. I dint replace the button. My iPhone is jailbroken, so now I have "shake for home button" on my iPhone.
And now the main problem :
My iPhone just went blank all of a sudden. Usually when this happens, I try syncing it with my laptop ( I sometimes use black magic ! ) and somehow it boots back up again. But this time, nothing ! I tried calling my phone and I could actually hear the caller tone ( sometimes it came as a busy tone and also as "this phone is not reachable") . I tried looking online for a solution and almost everywhere I looked, everyone told me to 'hold the power button.. blah blah', yeah i know the drill. BUT MY HOME BUTTON ISNT WORKING !! So here's my plea to all the iPhone hardware experts out there, PLEASE SAVE ME AND MY iPHONE !

Is there any way to restore an iPhone with a shattered screen, broken home button, with a passcode and no access to computer most recently synced with?

I have an iPhone with a completely shattered screen (the display wont even show up, just a black screen), the home button does not work. I have a passcode on the device, but I have not synced the device with my current PC (I got a new computer and don't have any of my syncs from my old computer). I recieved my replacement device today, and want to back up the iphone before I activate the new device - but I get prompted to put in my code on the phone before it will allow me to back it up. As the display is completely black and does not appear to respond to touch, and the home button is broken so I cannot put it in recovery mode... What do I do? If I took the phone in to my carrier's store, would they be able to override the passcode and put my information on my new device?

My ipad mini is out of warranty. Any ideas how much it may cost to repair the home button at the Apple Store?

I don't think that they actually repair iPads. Apple replaces them. I'm quite sure that if they do repair them, it is not done on site.

If available, connect it to an external monitor. If there is an image on the monitor, then the display or display connection is probably faulty. If there is no image, then the GPU is faulty.
