  • How do I export a video on Premiere Pro exactly as it is in my sequence?

I've only used Premiere Pro CS6 for a week so I'm fairly new to it. I just completed editing my first video but when I tried exporting it, the video didn't show all the clips I used in my sequence and/or had extra clips that I did not use.
This screeshot says that this video is 2 minutes 15 seconds long. Ok good. That's how long I needed it to be.
BUT HERE. The file says its only 1 minute and 4 seconds long and once I scrolled through it, I saw that it didn't have all the clips I used and instead inserted itself clips I DIDN'T use. This is a fan video so I used a large file as a source and used the input-output to grab clips and edit and added music and transitions. That's it.

You need the Work Area Bar to cover what you want exported.
You can see in your screen grab of the sequence...that the yellow tabs are short of the ends.
Drag them out to cover is one way.
In and Out points is another.
    Entire sequence option is another
The options are in the Export Window.

  • Exporting to WMV causes Premiere Pro to crash

    Hi there all,
Was wondering if you could help me here.  When i export to WMV PP crashes.  Now I thought i could get around this by rendering it as another file type and then using Adobe Media Encoder to code it to WMV... BUT!  when i did this Adobe Media Encoder only gave me 1/2 my video!!!  It too crashed!!!  :-( .  The video site that my work uploads to only accepts wmv unfortunatly

  • How to choose the final thumbnail in Premiere Pro Export???

When exporting a video in Premiere Pro, how do you choose which frame from the video will be displayed on the file's thumbnail???

Because its part of the export codec  protocol which would need to allow for it in the header.. andfor the the "player" to read it.
Where or in what situation do you need a Poster Frame?
YouTube /  Vimeo offer you this ability to a degree.

  • How to define the default thumbnail, appearing after exporting a video in Premiere Pro?

    Hi community,
When I export a video in Premiere Pro, the default thumbnail (appearing in windows file explorer for example) is never the best.
At my job, I need to create a lot of video that I publish through a CMS. Every time, i need to reset the preview thumbnail of the video because the default one is not accurate.
How to define which frame of my video will be used as a preview thumbnail after the video is exported?

This is not something you can control with PP.

  • Best Export / Video settings for Premiere Pro. Help Needed.

What's the best settings when you want to export a video from Premiere Pro for the web or otherwise. Best settings = good quality video and LOW file size.
Benchmark : The videos on Apple Trailers. Check them out at http://www.apple.com/trailers
The trailers are of high quality video, great sounds, and the Large sizes all fall under the 25MB mark. Any ideas on HOW this is done and what
settings in Premiere Pro CS3 might be able to replicate such standards?
Any help is appreciated. I normally use Encoder and export using H264 but that always seems to have an Audio lag. Any similar issues?
    Thanks a mil!

I understand that better quality = bigger file size. That's true in most cases, but there is a way around it, I'm just not sure what that way is. As I mentioned in the original post, the benchmark is http://www.apple.com/trailers . The non-HD videos on any movie page on that site hardly ever exceeds the 25MB mark. The videos are 2-3minutes long, and while they may not be top-notch BD visuals, they look way better than 95% of the stuff that's streamed off the net.
That's why I asked if anyone had any ideas on how to replicate something like that. Say I had a avi file of great quality, shot with a Panasonic DV Cam. I Capture the footage, do whatever I have to in Pr, and the result is now a 3minute video. I want it exported to a Quicktime file, I want it to look visually pleasing like the trailers on Apple, and I want it to fall under 25MB. I have tried H.264 encoding, regular Quicktime, and Quicktime via Encoder. Nothing reaches the expected quality.
For more examples visit http://www.passionpictures.com.my/pages/recent.aspx and download those simple 30second clips. All Quicktime, mostly under 5.5MB. If Pr can't do it, then I don't know what can...so I'm sure Pr can do it.
Problem is, how? Experimentation is definitely a way to go, I get that. But on the basis of the scenario given above...how is it done?

  • Color on exported video on Adobe Premiere Pro Is a bit off from the original source video

I have both Cyberlink powerdirector 10.0 and Adobe Premiere Pro C6
I noticed that adobe premere cs6. when exporting the video.. colors are a little off.. never matching the same tones as the original
    source
i took a screenshot  so you can see what i mean.. Notice Adobe is a a little mor orange. is there a way to fix this? Cyberlink powedirector always matches the source color when you export it. except Adobe Premiere Pro CS 6
i have windows 7 64 bit (Nvidia GeForce GTX 670M

Thanks for answering. I ddi notice different media players show colors different. But on the screenshot i just showed you.. all 3 are from the same media player.
For some reason everytime i export a video from Adobe premiere pro the color is never the same as the source on media player. I tried it on 4 different videos. Other software programs like cyberlink power director export the video with no color change.
1)The original source from the picture is a mpeg-4 (avc)
2)i always use wmv codec to encode all videos. So the shot from Premiere Pro was using WMV codec. and the other shot (cyberlink powerdirector) was also wmv to encde.
    3) I even tried to see if maybe i used a  different video format to encode it would fix the slight color change. like h264 and mov.. but nope still same issue
    4) I did what you told me to show the source and exported video on Adobe Premiere and really weird. the exporterd video from Adobe Premiere now shows the exact color as the source.. but the exported video from Cyberlinkpowerdirector shows the color a bit different.
    Heres the media codec information

  • How do I take 300 dpi photos with my iPhone 4s? And how do I export them to my MacBook Pro at 300 dpi to use as I want to print photos.

How do I take 300 dpi photos with my iPhone 4s?
And how do I export them to my MacBook Pro at 300 dpi to use as I want to print photos.
I have been using the standard camera on the iPhone and require 300 dpi to create photo books as the photos are resized according the layout.
Your time and assistance in appreciated.
    Thanks

    Thanks Tonefox!
After looking at a few of the links I found a mathematical equation that assisted me.
    Inches = Pixels/DPI
    eg: 3 inches = 300 pixels/100 DPI
Using this equation and the fact that iPhone 4s takes photos that are 3264 x 2448 I was able to work out the largest print I could make with 300 DPI.
    Width 3264 pix/ 300 DPI = 10.88 inches
    Height 2448 pix/ 300 DPI = 8.16 inches
Therefore, the largest print (with 300DPI) I can make of these photos is 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches.
    Which is great!
So is it critical for me to change the dpi in say photoshop or does it not matter as long as I don't go above the 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches?
From what I can gather the smaller I resize the photo the higher the DPI and the bigger I stretch the photo the lower the DPI?
Further clarification will be much appreciated. Thanks
