How do I export ical to outlook

I want to export my iCal calendar to my husband's computer. He manages his calendar with Outlook. Anyone know how to do this?

Greetings,
According to Microsoft's website, Outlook will import .ics files: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/file-types-you-can-import-or-expo rt-HP005243412.aspx
To export your calendars from iCal as .ics, highlight each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time and then go to File  > Export > Export.  Save the resulting .ics file to a logical location like the desktop and then email the files to your husband.
Hope that helps.

Ive been searching help, and there is lots of info on how to import from outlook, but i cant find anything sre exporting to outlook. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Create a folder on the Desktop.
Select a contact in the "All" Group and at the menu bar, go to Edit > Select All.
To create multiple vCards at the same time (one vCard for each contact), hold the Option key when dragging multiple cards out of the Address Book window.
Drag all to the created folder on the Desktop. Send an email message from the Mail.app to an email address you access with Outlook adding all vCards as attached files to the message.
Or instead of placing all contacts in a created folder on the Desktop, do the same from Address Book dragging all contacts to a new Mail.app message.
You can then transfer the vCard contacts received as attachments to the message received in Outlook to the Outlook address book.

  • How do I export contacts from Outlook 2011 to icloud

icloud will only let me import a vcard and is only showing 24 of my 250 contact I have in outlook 2011.I tried exporting the olm file out of outlook but icloud contacts will not read it.
Is there a way of getting icloud to pick up on all of my contact .
    Thanks
    Appreciate anyones help with this

This page: http://www.macworld.com/article/1054187/outlooktoaddress.html - has this to say:
'Under Outlook 2002 you could simply open your contacts and drag them to the desktop to turn them into vCards. No longer. Try this and the contacts are converted to messages.
While you can select a single Outlook contact, choose File -> Save As and, in the resulting dialog box, choose vCard Files from the Save as Type pop-up menu, this works only for individual contacts—you can’t export a group of contacts this way.
You have a few options for eventually getting the things out of Outlook. The first is to select all your contacts and choose Action -> Forward as vCard. Outlook will create a new email message that contains all your contacts as individual vCard attachments. Send this message to yourself, pick it up on the Mac, drag these files into Address Book or Entourage’s Address Book and you’re good to go.
Or Sperry Software can lend a hand with its $20 vCard Converter Add-in for Microsoft Outlook. This adds a service that enables Outlook to export all your contacts as a single vCard.'
    A Microsoft Help Page suggests:
'The simplest way to do this would be to export your Outlook contacts to a tab-delimited file and then import that into Address Book.
In Outlook select File menu --> Export... and select Contacts to a list (tab-delimited text).
Save the new file to your Desktop.
In Apple's Address Book select File menu --> Import... and select your file.
Use the next window to match the field names in Address Book with those in your export file'
If using either method you import into Address Book you can sync that to iCloud, which is probably easier than trying to import into the iCloud website. If you're prepared to splash out $20 the Sperry Software program would  simplify matters a lot.

  • Need help syncing iCal and Outlook 2011 (for Mac) THANKS!

QUESTION: How do I sync iCal and Outlook up again without duplicating any more events, and very importantly, without sending any more email invitations?
I just bought an iPhone. I am trying to get my phone and my MacBook Pro synced up through iCloud.
I realize that I need to have Outlook 2011 and iCal set up for syncing for this to work.
I did this at one point, and it resulted in all of my ALL DAY appointments being duplicated in Outlook, iCal, and on the calendar on my phone - and iCloud sending out duplicate invitations to events.
Then, I turned syncing between iCal and Outlook and deleted all of the duplicates in my Outlook.
Of course, because I haven't set up Outlook to sync with iCal, iCal and my phone's calendar have not changed. There are still duplicates there.
How do I sync them up again without duplicating any more events, and very importantly, without sending any more email invitations?
Thanks in advance for any help you can be!
    Cheers!

My iPhone 4 was working fine, synched with Outlook 2011 on my iMac 11.02 through iTunes. Calendar changes also appeared in iCal, even though I don't use iCal - I only use Outlook. Last week I was prompted to update Outlook, which I did successfully. Today, I plugged the iPhone into the iMac to synch and suddenly all Calendar and Contact items are gone from the iPhone and in iCal on the iMac. In iTunes, the option to synch with Outlook in the Info tab ("other") is greyed out. What happened? Why can't I synch the iPhone anymore with Outlook? All the Calendar and Contact info is still on the iMac in Outlook. Help!

How can I export all my icloud contacts to Outlook?

If you want to sync via iCloud the following gives instructions on setting up iCloud on your computer: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
If it is a Mac running Mavericks (OS X 10.9) contact syncing is done via iCloud only. If you don't have a Mac you can also sync contacts via iTunes http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1296

  • How do I export or print a log of specific iCal entries?

I keep a boat log on iCal - daily entries all with the same event title eg: Boat Log. How can I export or print a compilation of just those entries, sorted by date?

    Hi Elizabeth
There are most probably several ways but I tell how I would do it:
    1. Open my movie in iMovie
    2. make a cut just previous where the sound starts in TimeLine (cmd-T)
    3. same but now just after it ends - or as precise as You like it
    4. select the clip with the sound
    5. Extract sound - from Advance menu
    6. Now You got Your sound on the track under Your clips - select it (audio clip)
    7. Copy
    8. Start a new iMovie - may be You can't have both open simultaneously (in iM6 You can)
    9. Now past Your sound into this new projects Timeline and Save
This new movie project You can drop into the iDVD well for audio.
If this doesn't work - open the iMovie project with audio only and Export
it as QT and then as audio only .aiff. This file CAN be dropped into iDVD well.
May be You need QT pro licence to make the last conversion.

  • How do I export Outlook exchange contacts to icloud?

I have an outlook exchange email account with my company and it is going to be disabled because I am leaving in a few days and I want to export all my contacts to icloud. How do I do this?

You can't (directly) so export them from Outlook to the desktop as a csv file. Then convert the csv to a vcf (vCard) file and import that to iCloud.

You can import your contacts from your Outlook using iTunes. Connect yout iPhone / iPad to iTunes, then set sync contacts with outlook option. Then Sync your device.
Note: Your existing contacts may get replaced if you don't read the options carefully.
You can check out this website if you need more detailed information on this.

  • How to sync ical to outlook ical using Maverick

Can outlook cal be synced to ical

iCal is client like Outlook is client. Both can be used to get email from servers (POP3, IMAP, Exchange).
You may be able to export email form Outlook and import into iCal; or sync both Outlook and iCal with the same server (Exchange, Google, etc) - but you can't sync Outlook directly with iCal.

  • How to print/export select iCal entries as a diary?

I keep a boat log on iCal - daily entries all with the same event title eg: Boat Log. How can I export or print a compilation of just those entries, sorted by date?

    Hi!
Since one year I use iCal - and I like it. This year (2011) I want to fill in some diary /journal (?) / Agenda (?) - entries for each day, but I don't know how.
My "private" solution by now: I created a calendar called "journal" and type each day in the header of a whole-day-event in telegram-style.
But I think, that Apple has to offer me a better way.
I hope you will understand my question and forgive me my bad english.

  • How to load iCal and Outlook events?

i'm trying to provide ical and outlook files for guests to an
event. i've linked both an .ics file (for iCal users) and a .vcs
file (for Outlook) from the website, yet when a user clicks on
either link, code is displayed onscreen as opposed to a prompt to
download the file. is there a way to launch these links as file
downloads w/o having to zip them? numerous calendar and invitation
sites provide this feature, but they are dynamically creating the
.ics and .vcs files - though they do end up as downloaded files.
    (www.cindyandkenny.com/test > click 'when & where' to
see the iCal and Outlook links)
    thanks.

    Harbs - you there?
I can;t find any help for this elsewhere on the web - would really apprciate a response.
