How do I export layers as individual files?

I have an animation with 24 bit colors and alpha transparency. Each frame is a layer in my project and I wish to export each individual layer as a PNG so I can create an animation in a different tool. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Arien,
If your animation program supports paste open it and select each layer,
Select>All, Edit>Copy and paste that layer into that program.
If your animation program doesn't support paste you can paste each layer
into a New file and save it as a *.png image.

    In Photoshop CS, there is a script that exports Layers to individual Files.
    Go to File>Scripts>Export Layers to Files.

  • How can i export a 24bit avi file from photoshop for mac?

    how can i export a 24bit avi file from photoshop for mac? i have a client that specificly needs the files to be avi and in 24bit what are the settings that i need to use to export the video using photoshop on a mac?

    Hello,
      To make a 24-bit AVI file in Photoshop, go to File>Export>Render Video. Then, under File Options, choose AVI from the Quicktime Export drop-down menu. Click the Settings button. Click the Settings button in the AVI Settings window. Change Compression to None, and then choose "Millions of Colors" from the Depth drop-down under Compression.
      The Millions of Colors option is for 24-bit video (8-bit R+G+B channels, 8x3=24). Millions of Colors+ is for 32-bit video (24-bit video plus an 8-bit alpha channel).

    How do I export wmv and avi files from media encoder on a mac in CC2014?

    Nonsense.
    Apple Compressor has been doing wmf exports for a decade. I have the Quicktime export components from Telestream and they appear as presets in Compressor. They should be available in Media Encoder or they should be importable. Adove apparently refuses to see them. Still trying to figure that out.

  • How can I export to a .sfw file? it does not give me the option in FILE EXPORT.

    how can I export to a .sfw file? it does not give me the option in FILE > EXPORT. I have Flash installed and everthing.

    The feature to export SWF files directly from After Effects has been removed. It never worked at all well.
    To create SWF files, use Flash Professional.
    If you want to play a movie that you've created in After Effects in a SWF container, then export your composition using Adobe Media Encoder in H.264 format and then link or embed that movie into a SWF file in Flash Professional.

    Did you open Automator and just look around?
    Actions are listed in the left pane.
    You drag them into the workflow on the right in the order you need to process the items that you want.
    If this is a on-off requirement, just make a Workflow. If you plan to use it often, make it an Application.
    If you want to select the contacts you want to export, use a get Selected action. You'd then select the contacts in Contacts App before running the workflow.
    I'm not on a Mac to take screenshots, so you'll have to look at Automator's help or google for more info.

  • Saving layers as individual files all at once

    Since I am creating files to use in PrEl I need multiple layers to become multiple tracks. Is there any way to simply save all the layers of my files as individual files without unhiding each layer and then saving each file one by one.

    Have you also asked on the PremEl forum? I do not believe that PSE has any means of doing this - except in this special context, I cannot imagine why anyone would want to. I was wondering if PremEl has an import facility to deal with it for you.

  • Script - Export Layers to Individual PDF's?

    Is there a script to export each InDesign layer to its own PDF? I posted about this in the general InDesign forum, and was referred here. Someone found a Mac version, but I need something for Windows XP, CS3. Thank you!

    Hi,
    telling a story:
    hide all layers, start loop in all of them, show one by one, export doc
    writing a script:
    myDoc = app.documents[0];
    myFolder = myDoc.filePath + "/";                              // assuming doc isn't untitled
    myDoc.layers.everyItem().visible = false;
    for (k=0; k<myDoc.layers.length; k++) {
         file = new File(myFolder + myDoc.name + "_" + myDoc.layers[k].name + ",pdf");
         myDoc.layers[k].visible = true;
         doc.exportFile(ExportFormat.pdfType, file, false, app.pdfExportPresets[0]);         // choose preset id
         myDoc.layers[k].visible = false;
    myDoc.layers.everyItem().visible = true;
    pdfs should be in doc folder,
    hope...

  • Export layers to .png files

    Hi,
    I took a .psd file (made by my coworker) and redesigned it. The problem is: he organized his layers so badly...made unecessary clones.
    The design is a landing page for a website, now I want to send it to my webdeveloper but he's a linux guy.
    So on gimp he can't work on my .psd so well because of color formats. He asked me to cut all the images and turn them to .png
    Hence I needed to run File> Script > Export Layers to files once that done I got too many similar .png as you can see (consequences of bad layers organization?)
    Is that bad ? Do I need to delete unwanted/similar images to make my web dev work easier?
    Last thing I saw that -in the export layers to files panel properties- transparency and trim boxes was checked and I set it to PNG24
    Is it the right thing to do?
    Thanks

    That would be up to your web dev's needs, I guess. Since these apper to be a background image for the whole page, removing the redundant ones would only be logical.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 Script to Save Layers as Individual Files?

    I am BEYOND frustrated right now. I do not understand why this feature is not built into this program. I am not, nor will I ever be, rich enough to afford any of the Photoshop CS programs and it seems absurd to spend 800+ dollars just for this feature.
    I have spent the last FOUR hours painstakingly creating a 200-frame animation. All I want. Is to turn it into a gif. That's all I want. NO program will import the psd. I downloaded the free trial of Flash CC but, not only is it over complicated, it lags SO BADLY it takes one minute just to perform the import action. After that, it only imports one image from the PSD anyway and won't animate. I found a post here a little bit ago where somebody posted a script that will make PSE11 do what I want it to. They did not however post it in plain text, they posted it in a link. All that link did was redirect me to the main Adobe web page. I am sick. And tired. Of hunting for a solution. I cannot find this script through google no matter what I try. So I am asking here. PLEASE TELL ME I did not waste the last four hours of my life creating a useless animation.

    Not $800+, only $12. The affordable Elements+ has lots of useful scripts, including Exporting Layers to Files.

  • How do I export Premier Pro CS6 files for use with Final Cut Pro?

    In my cloud version of CS-6, I am trying to export or convert my finished work and take to my
    co-editor that uses Final Cut Pro. In "export" on my PrP file, I have the option to export as FCP "with notes."
    When I do that, and look at the notes, they basically say "Clip one did not export - Clip two did not..."
    I saw a tutorial on the web where they had the option to convert the file in Encoder from PrP file to FCP, but
    it is not an option on my Encoder in the cloud. When I try to encode the files as .mov, they are tiny, and don't
    look good.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    You can take the project file and the source files to FCP by exporting it as an FCP XML. Other than that you may have to export the whole project as a quicktime mov or any other editable your co-editors use.

  • How do you export LabVIEW SignalExpress Log files into MatLab?

    I am using SignalExpress to capture vibration and acoustic data.  I need to show the results to a customer that doens't have access to LabVIEW.  They have Matlab, so I need to find a way to export the SignalExpress log file into a usable format that I can import into Matlab.

    SignalExpress log files are in TDMS format.  You also have the option to convert your log to text when you finish it.  So you have two options:
    Send the original TDMS log and have your colleague use the MATLAB plugin which allows reading of TDMS files.
    Convert the log to text and send the text files.
    The first option is probably your best bet, since it will result in smaller files.  Let us know if you run into issues.

  • Script to save layers as individual files

    Hi there guys,
    I just got a new job and they require me to save several elements of a PSD file into individual files with their proper name. I'm trying to get a script which would help me with this and also help me be more productive with some other work instead of spending all day doing this. Can someone help me out here with a script that would save each layer as its own file with the layer's name? Does this make sense? Your help is very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dan

    Edit the script in ExtendScript Toolkit as per attached pic.
