How do I export my video uncompressed?

how do I export my video uncompressed?

Thanks so much. I have been watching the tutorials, but it's hard to find the right one for the right topic.
I am definitely on a steep and frustrating learning curve. I try to learn as much as I can given my time constraints (grad student and teacher) and time pressures (wanted to release video in the spring). The vidoes are helpful mostly and I have come a long way from a few weeks ago.
"...work on the same system..."  (I'm not used to the lingo). Do you mean Premiere Pro? Yes, he does have access to one. We are trying to find the best way to send it to him to final edit. I understand that I could send him all of my original video files and an edl, yet that will take some large amounts of cloud storage.
"Exporting it would be limiting": I'm not sure what you're saying. Do you recommend not exporting it?

You don't... at least not directly... you export MPEG2-DVD and then use the TWO files (audio and video) in Encore

You can only export in the same resolution that you imported.
That is if you shot in 720p you cannot export in 1080p.
Share > YouTube and select the highest resolution available.

Tom is right, BUT! ...the newest version of Compressor (41.) allows you to do just THAT! ...to export custom sizes.
It's easy. And... once you set it up, you can export DIRECTLY from FCPX, provided you've saved / added this scheme as a "destination" in the FCPX app.

As far as I know, PPro does not have that capability
If you were creating a DVD in Encore, you could put an "end action" on the video timeline to itself... so at the end of the DVD video it would go back to the beginning
I am not aware of any way to do that for a simple file

  • How do I export a video from After Effects CC to an iPhone? I'm using a PC.

How do I export a video from After Effects CC to an iPhone? I'm using a PC.

Short answer, there is no simple "export to iPhone", but if you just want to have a movie that you can watch on you iPhone, just send yourself an attachment via email (other than .avi) and save it to your phone.
You can also use dropbox as an option.
With an app, you could mount your iPhone as an external drive. (check out iExplorer)
Also: check AME for h264 variations before you send it to yourself.  There are presets for iPhone compression.

  • How can i export as AVI uncompressed in Premier Pro?

Theres a simple question here. How do you export as AVI uncompressed? There are a number of people asking this question on the forums although answers are always steered elsewhere.
I currently have Adobes cloud service and there ISN'T the option to export as AVI uncompressed. Have adobe decided not to facilitate this now?
Just in case i get another response from someone saying well what are your purposes for this type of export when there are so many presets that will satisfy your exporting needs.. For glitch purposes its important to export as AVI. Please help.

    Thanks Ann
Unfortunately there isnt an AVI option at all. According to other responses i have just seen, you need the below:
"Either get a PC for that job or export as MOV and convert to an AVI wrapper."
Heres the drop down menu so this is completely clear.
    But MOV isnt provided either!

  • How can I export a Video without making it darker than the original file?

    Hi there!
I'm working on a footage shot with the Canon 5D and since the first step in the post I exported the raw footage with Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) and worked with it in After Effects and later on FCP and then the usual Color and Compressor. But somehow every time I exported it, it got darker and darker... I tried using Animation codec instead of Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) and it didn't get dark but the files are HUGE and in the end I have to export the video in H.264 for internet. Does anybody out there have any idea what should I do and which compression should I use and how?
    Thanks a lot!
    Davi

When you say you exported the raw footage... are you working with native H.264s in FCP?

  • How Do I Export A Video

Hey, I have what I hope is a quick and easy question.
I shot a low quality video using my cell phone, put in on my computer, edited it in iMovie 06 HD, and now want to export the video without losing ANY quality-that is, I want/need to keep the quality of the movie in its entirety. The problem is right now the file is 1.38 GB, and in a .dv format. What is the best way to convert .dv formatted files to a more "universal" format, and then upload said "high-quality" compressed/converted video to YouTube? Note: Whether or not YouTube can handle .dv file extensions is beside the point, I still would like to know how to compress a .dv file to decrease the size it occupies on my HD as well as be able to share it across several platforms, apps, etc. So far the converter in iMovie 06 HD is pretty bad, but maybe there is a setting, or a different application I can use.. Any thoughts?
If it helps, I have the current video software installed on my computer
    1. iMovie 06 HD
    2. iMovie 08 (the reason for re-installing iMovie 06) and,
    3. Final Cut Pro 5.1 (yeah...I know...what am I doing with this?)

The best codec to use out of iMovieHD is H.264. The higher the bit rate, the larger the file, the better the quality.
I think videos uploaded to YouTube get recompressed by them before going live on their site. They use Flash for video although they've been adding H.264 for AppleTV and iPhone/iTouch users. However even if they use H.264 they still might be recompressing your video to make it smaller which could decrease the quality from the original.

  • How to Properly Export HD Video to External Hard Drive

I recently bought a digital camera with HD video capability.  When I hook up my camera to my laptop, it automatically loads the video and photos to iPhoto. When I start a project in iMovie, I grab the video from iPhoto.  The HD video takes up a lot of room so I thought I would park it on an external hard drive until I needed it.  I bought a Passport and tried exporting it from iPhoto onto the Passport external drive, but all it saves to the drive is a still photo, not a movie.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks for any help.

    How are you exporting?
File -> Export Kind - Original should get the material.

  • How do I export a video without a heavy blue cast

I use imovie 3. I can download and edit my movies. The finished product looks good on the computer. However, when I export, the video has a very heavy blue cast even when viewing on the computer. But, if I export as an email or web file then the colour is ok but the quality is poor. I would like to copy some of my videos on to cd's with correct colours. Any ideas??

  • How can I export a video and keep the date?

When I export the video and import it again, it changes the date to the date of today. It doesn't happen with the photos, only with videos.
I changed the dates of a lot of videos and then re-imported them again, I realised I lost all my work of editing.
    Thanks,

You can only modify the File Created date with a 3rd party application after you export it to the Desktop.  Video files do not have EXIF field that image files do so can't be modified by iPhoto or Photos.  What I do is rename the file with the date created and a brief description like:  2005-01-08-LaHanbraSpain.mov
You can do that with one of the Automator/Applescripits that léonie has posted in the User Tips section:Photos for Mac
Photos for Mac: Batch Change the Descriptions
Then export the original out with the option File Name = Title

  • How to copy/export a video clip from event library to external hard drive?

Can you help? Can you export a video clip from the iMovie Event library to a hard drive

You can "daisy chain" FireWire devices. Plug your IF into the Mbook, and plug your external disk into the IF (it has two ports...), or do it the other way around, whatever seems to work best.
The whole chain will be as fast as your slowest device, and I think the FPod is FW 400, so the disk will also operate at that speed. Many people work like this on their laptops, and it works fine. Better than USB.
Don't use USB for it. USB needs CPU and is in general less efficient in handling audio. Daisychaining FW-devices is the way to go.
