How do I export so my video can be viewed on windows pc?

This is the first video I've produced with Final Cut Pro x and Compressor 4. No more what setting I select, I cannot view my project on a Windows computer. What do I need to do to export my video with compressor 4, transfer the file to a flash drive, and view it on a Windows PC? Any ideas?

Try exporting the video as a .mp4
Also, download Quicktime for Windows if the .mp4 doesn't work.

In the iPhoto Window select the pics you want to burn and go File -> Export and export them to a folder on the desktop. Burn that to disk with the Finder.

You won't be able to do this with just FCPX by itself. You should be able to use Compressor to do this, or you can use Quicktime Pro to create a single .mov file from the separate video/audio files exported from FCPX.
If you use Compressor, you can save the preset and make it available inside FCPX for future use.

I can't. The storage requied for apps varies greatly. Some apps only need/use 10 or so MB. However, some apss need like 5 GB.

I'm so annoyed. I spent my only phone support call to Apple trying to figure out how to get a home made video clip onto my Video iPod and they have no idea unless you are a Mac user. I have successfully put DVDs on the iPod using DVD Decrypter and Nero Recode but if you want to export a small clip, from Adobe Preimere for example, it seems impossible. Can anyone help???? I have exported a clip from Premiere and it says it's a Quicktime file but when I open the file in Quicktime Pro and "export to iPod" it will be rejected after dragging it to the iPod Library. There are programs to help you complete this task if you are a Mac user but I can't find any solution for PC. Any suggestions? I just want to be able to take a segment of video I made on a minidv camcorder and put it on the iPod. I know how to capture and edit it using Premiere but how do I save/export the clip in a file format that Quicktime and/or the iPod will recognize?

If you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

How best to export back to video camera dv tape?

I know iMovie no longer has the export back to tape option in 09 version. But, there must be a good way to do it anyway? Does 09 allow me to export to DV (MyMovie.dv)? If so, then I guess I could take that exported file and import it into my old iMovie 6, and then export from there back to a DV tape via firewire. If someone knows a better way, the let me know.

You can avoid all video editors by using an app called SimpleVideoOutX:

Just download the SampleCode archive, extract the archive and look for SimpleVideoOut X.app. Just drop the video on the app icon to launch the app.
It has been around for MANY years, but not well known. This is a free app created to do exactly what you want. Caveat is, to go to DV, the video file can NOT be higher than DV resolution, or the screen with just show black on the DV camera. But it will work with any SD, or lower, resolution video file that Quicktime will play back. I have watched many videos on my TV this way, and it is MUCH cheaper than an Apple TV, with out the format issues.
You can select DVCPRO HD, Digital Cinema Desktop and FireWire as the output options. For DV, select Output=Firewire, and Mode=Apple FireWire NTSC.
There are a couple other option available at the bottom right of screen to play with, but generally, the defaults work for the majority of cases.

How do I export presets so I can use my settings on a different copy of PS CS6

Hi!
I work as a retoucher, and every so often I need to go into another facility to work on one of their machines-often there is a test involved.
My issue is that I have a number of presets-brushes, tools, actions, workspace setup, etc, that allow me to have speed and focus on getting the job done. I also work with a wacom tablet, and although that is 3rd party, I need know that photoshop is set up to maximize the brush sensitivity of the tablet.
Is there a way for me to export my settings from one machine to another? And a way for them to revert back to thier own after I finish?
Sometimes I have to work in CS5, so knowing how to do this in that program would also be useful.
Any feedback would be helpful.

The next upgrade is suppose to support having the presets on the cloud, making it easy to transfer them when needed. So if the other system belongs to someone else or company, they can keep their settings in their cloud account making it easy to reset the setting or if you made some settings public, you could share them (I assume).
As for right now you need to find the settings on your drive and copy them to another drive or the cloud and the other persons system would need to make a backup of their settings so they can be restored.
You know what, strike that, the manager can load and save files, that is way easier than trying to search for the files, but you probably would need to repeat the process for each type of presets, ex. once for brushes and once for swatches, etc.
Can you tell I haven't tried it yet. LOL.

How do I export a trimmed video?

I select only the part of the clip that I want to keep, then use the trim to selection menu item, then finalize project, then export, but the exported video still contains the trimmed parts (the parts that I removed using trim to selection)...

Are you referring to the system-wide Exposé functions or a Safari-specific 'Exposé-esque' feature?
The former can be configured in the 'Dashboard & Exposé' preference pane in System Preferences. Hitting tab with either 'All windows' or 'Application windows' displayed will allow you to browse through the various windows on a per application basis.
The latter is available as part of Saft. With Saft installed, the 'Show Tab Thumbnails' under the 'View' menu will line up your 'mini screens or windows'.
